We paid up front as a deposit via credit card (Over the telephone ), also made an appointment for a tech to come and carry out the job in the end of that week, as the parts were special order.

My Fiancee and I decided to change locks on our condo. Did some due diligence on ILNY and local locksmiths stood outside, so I called them.

Due to one of their technicians being included in a fender bender, throwing their appointments into disarray for the day, I got a voicemail the day of my appointment and was advised to call back to reschedule. I returned the call and the tech I talked to apologized profusely and offered to come perform the job at 6:30pm the next night. I was quite impressed with this, and they made it abundantly clear that rescheduling appointments on customers is not how they normally do business, even though it really did not bother me considering the circumstances, since I understand how frustrating it is to maintain an auto accident and wait 2 hours to be cleared to leave the scene!

We asked a unique issue we experienced the configuration/placement of the locks on the door to be considered by Peter. He grabbed a part out of his bag and fixed the issue in no additional cost, downplaying it as"A part he have that happened to match". We couldn't have been more happy.
Narrative:
He shaved the keys for a smooth fit altered the cylinders on the other locks, tested the guards and asked us to check them. They were 10x smoother than once we moved in, and he reconfigured them, as before among these never really. I had forgotten about it, but it was detected by him when testing them made the appropriate tweaks to get it working properly.
Peter affirmed the work we needed done, also came on time Friday night. He advised me that was overkill, and explained why. We agreed and that was removed by him by the invoice, which saved us over $150.

Said it would be fine to publish pictures of their locks via email, in order to have a quote. The following day, I got a phone call from Allison the workplace manager, who relayed that the technicians there advocated we just change the tanks, not the actual locks , as the locks were top of their lineup and would have cost more than $1000 to actually replace. We elected to update our petition accordingly, and she emailed us a quote for those parts + labour after clarifying our requests.

Worst experience ever.
I lock new york ignored my phone calls and text messages. Refuse to give manufacture warranty for the doors. I wind up paying cash to replace the security door lock.
Charged the top cost, supplied lowest service.
Many problems were found by us . The paint on the outside door could be easily removed. These security doors' key functions after weeks usage.
Peter stated that was the only way for him to guarantee qualities, also insisted on buying the doorways and hardwares for us.
Can I recommend this provider? My answer will be an emphatic NO!!!!
Locksmith by appt only... ridiculous!! I arrived back home and noticed my grandmother was standing outdoors. Found out that she locked herself out by injury. . I called I seemed here on yelp and whoever picked up and this place said they are not available also it says by appt. I guess no emergency service in this place.
Now, I have one more information if someone ask me do I understand some LOCKSMITH, to discuss.
Moving is a nightmare, thanks for make it a bit better, to I lock. I hunted phone them to learn more info about my door lock scenario, the lady whom answer that the phone was helpful and super nice and locksmith from Yelp. They spend two hours changed all my door locks because of my olddddd flat, and ensuring everything is work perfect for this.
This organization is great! We have a locality locksmith but chose to look elsewhere. Allison replied all my questions/emails in a timely way. Peter was professional fine, & educated during a free walk-through for the work that had to be done. He advocated only what was required (no up selling into the most expensive choices ). With quality products that fit our requirements, we have quality work in the long run. On the day of set up Peter & Jay showed up sooner than anticipated & had the task. Our door now closes effortlessly & the key no longer gets stuck!
Peter listened to my needs, knew his things, came up with answers and delivered them. I can't say enough - to finish a class act. Very professional and wonderful to deal with. I came away with a big comfort level for their work. Thank you!
The best way to describe that this company is honest, dependable and reasonably priced. I've dealt with several other regional locksmiths who cared for one thing, cash in their pocket. I've called Peter from ilock New York many times to handle our repair issues. In the get go his concern was making sure our door was functioning properly and my shop was safe for our customers.

I have gotta sayit had been an absolute pleasure working with the men from I Lock New York! A couple of months ago I got locked out of my house, and after phoning a couple of shady sounding locksmith companies in the region who would not quote me a price on the telephone and who barely spoke English, I stumbled upon these men... the title caught my attention, it is certainly tricky lol. They gave me a price quote on the phone to get me they were friendly, fast, affordable and honest. I felt comfortable with them. I recently decided it was time to put in a new metal basement entrance doorway so I decided I would give I lock New York a call, considering I had such a good experience with them before. I got quotes from some other businesses, but none of them seemed as affectionate and honest as these men... Pete (the supervisor ) was very cool, gave me a fantastic deal, and his men did a phenomenal job. There are not enough businesses like this one on the market, I can't say enough good things about them! I plan on using them again if need be
