So I called Matt at Proper Plumbing. He did not even have to see that the issue to understand what I wanted, and ball-parked it over the telephone, quoting less than half the cost of Mr. Hat. After he came out, rather than give me a window of time that he may be quitting by he gave us a specific hour and then called to let us know because he had been in visitors, he would be 15 minutes late. Once he began working, he did a marvelous job, and fixed another dilemma with the drain while he had been down there, and even with the additional job , nevertheless came in at below what he'd quoted me.
Matt was among the most knowledgable friendliest, and honest plumbers I had over. I couldn't be more happy with the work he did, how he did it, or the price for having it done, I was charged by him. I feel those plumbers lost a customer.
I have had plumbers out before, as you might guess with this kind of plumbing mistake. I'd like to go waiving service charges and cutting prices down in their own hive, also for the most part they did a good job. This time they've shifted their attitude towards customer service or I just lost a dispatch coin toss, because they sent out the they had. He did not show up when he was supposed to, wrote quotations for items I for we priced and also the things I did ask.
Mine is updated over the past few years by most of its owners, a classic home, not with the degree of professionalism. Sometimes this leads to entertaining quirks (the downstairs shower has fully separate piping and manages for the tub and the shower) and sometimes it results in annoyances. I had been setting out to resolve an annoyance - the upstairs kitchen was recently redone, however they forgot which pipe was which when pipes it, so the warm water line was hooked up into the cold water tap of the sink, while the chilly water branched off into the dishwasher and the warm water tap. I just wanted that corrected, with the hit water leading that branch changed over to lead into the ice manufacturer of this fridge, and I purchased.
After Nick and I bought our new house we knew that the pipes would have to be replaced immediately so we called in a couple of plumbers to give estimates on time and price to us. Matt from Proper Plumbing was by far the most reasonable in price - quoting us a few hundred dollars less than the friend. And because Nick had worked in the past on condominium stuff with him it was a no-brainer to employ him.
Over the span of two days Matt replaced all of the old pipes using brand spanking new ones and our water pressure is really excellent! Well, it's regular likely to most folks in Colorado, however I no longer have the world difficulty of having to take 5 minutes to fill a Brita pitcher of water . So, that's pretty excellent.
It turns out that if your house is more than 100 years old that the pipes are a little bit old. And they're also made out of steel, so that they corrode until is a sized amount of water. And when this occurs your own water pressure goes down the toilet. Ha.
Ya know what? I suck at most direct labour. I'm just poor at home improvement. So what exactly do I do? I attempt to redesign my bathroom top to bottom. Yeah, fantastic call Nick.
It was killed by the dude. He's rad. I will call him up anytime I have a problem or need work. I had the newest frame in the wall and covered up his work by the end of the day.
His pipes was appropriate.
So amazing Matt comes over from Proper Plumbing and provides me an quote that certainly beats. On the day of, he cut on the hole in my cable mesh wall to put the pipes in had been on time, put nice copper piping in, tested for leaks and was done in 3 hours.
So I reside in this 1960s condo that has. Not just that, but my bathroom didn't have a shower head in teh bathtub. Yeah, right? I mean that does this? Anyway, I needed a shower head in that wall and while I'm comfortable tiling my walls (kinda) I'm by no means comfortable fiddling with plumbing and in-wall pipes.
You must seek the services of this company for jobs. While Matt is a nice person, he spent HOURS roto-rooting my machine prior to informing me that he did not have the right gear. I must have spent at least $300 more than I would have, on these hours of effort when I should have hired someone who could have cleared the issue in one hour or so. He half-assed cleared it now, 2 months later, the problem is back full force. LET CUSTOMERS KNOW WHEN YOU CANNOT DO THE JOB!!!!!
Plumbing problems are a drag. One minute everything is fine, the next minute nastiness is being spewed by your kitchen sink on the ground when you turn on the garbage disposal. Then you have to get on the telephone and call when overcharging you for some bum 29, a plumber who provides you a dosage of his crack. Fortunately I happen to know about Proper Plumbing. Matt cranked out the job in two hours, came over and charged a price for parts and labour. The best aspect of the experience was that his ass was covered by his pants.
