Visiting my parents at Raleigh and the garbage disposal was leaking and had to be replaced. James came out within a few hours and managed the whole thing. Very efficient and courteous. Left the area clean and was a joy to work with. We would suggest this family-owned small business.

The owner is a very great individual. He revealed business integrity and chose to work on the payment process because of a miscommunication with us.
Needless to say, that is not fun for the wallet, but Schwartz Plumbing Co went out of the way to make the experience as seamless as possible (especially because the second one happened right around the time of Hurricane Florence and a plumber managed to come out quite quickly to give us a quote).
We have our personal property and a rental house. In the last year, we've needed to replace the two hot water heaters in the possessions. A normal hot water heater in a tankless hot water heater and one in the other.
We have worked together with different plumbers in the region in the past and they do not even remotely compare to Schwartz Plumbing Co.. If you're trying to find a long term solution with a superb reputation staff along with an honest owner, I strongly recommend Schwartz.

They have been used by us in the past and had great experiences with them. We had been replacing 3 bathroom faucets so that I scheduled an appointment with them and there came also a plumber outside. On opening the door the man stated"I'm the plumber" No title or salutation. Without saying a word he turned and walked . He came back and I showed him into the upstairs baths where the job was done. He never told me how long it would take him or what the charges were likely to be. He was completed in only under one hour. He typed a job order/bill on an iPad up and asked me to sign it. He charged me $195 for $150 for each additional one and the first faucet. If I'd known this before hand I never would have had him perform the installation. In his defense, I might have inquired. But I did not. My husband called the company and was advised that the plumber should've told me upon his arrival what the charges could be, which he did not. We won't be using them.

Just to upgrade a remark about excessive charges for a water heater Burner assembly,, The proprietor achieved, after postings, also has settled the complaint in a satisfactory manner acceptable to both parties, for a reasonable charge for parts and labor, for real work performed.

One of my 15 year-old tank water heaters started leaking badly. Within a few hours after my phone, the owner gave me 2 repair strategies, diagnosed the situation, and himself, Stuart Schwartz, was at my residence. Stuart was friendly and low pressure as he clarified at least one and probably both of my tank water heaters required to be replaced--what repairmen had also told me. The estimates were for two tanks along with a tankless water heater; Schwartz's prices were competitive with other estimates.
I picked the tankless since it more energy efficient. They bypassed my poor water heater and emptied it until it started leaking any worse, buying time to me. Two days after they removed the tanks installed a Navien tankless, together with a return line that produces warm 10 seconds run after turning on a tap. It works great and I am glad Schwartz did a good job.
Schwartz Plumbing did a good job for me. They did exactly what they charged exactly what they estimated and planned. I discovered their repairmen--Tommy, Pedro, and Ross --helpful and quite friendly, describing everything before they did it, answering lots of questions for me, and repeatedly asking me if I had some questions. They really couldn't have been more useful. Locally owned and managed, Schwartz is big enough to provide emergency service and small enough to offer personalized service.

Well,. I called and caught the amount, pulled over and watched their fine reddish and white truck nearby Costco.
I saved over 300.00 dollars by using Schwartz pipes in Raleigh. I can't believe it. In addition to the installer not 3 hours such as Roto Rooter offered to, and did the job in about 30 munites.
The nice lady said that they could replace my broken one with a fresh one, and a gaurantee, for 325.00.
. I found a company that I wish I owned. My inadequate garbage disposal broke down and had to be replaced. They came out and Roto Rooter was called by me and gave me a quote of 640 dollars to get a brand new one and installation. I told the guy thank you personally, but could not swing that right.
George McNeill. Raleigh
I am a citizen and this discount of price was extremely useful, and I have still have my 300 dollars to live somewhat better. . This company is for real, and I can't express my thanks for them being reasonable and useful in my own time of need.
Best Regards,

UPDATE: not only did a replacement component is put by Cary Plumbing they showed me how to purchase parts on Amazon and also do maintenance myself.
Cary Plumbing is currently sending out a technician over the hour.
Quite disappointed when I was told that there was a $350 minimum on their service call. Cary Plumbing installed our Navien tankless water heater if they were a distributor. Currently in servicing the previously installed foundation Schwartz is the certified business and disavowing interest. If this is known by Navien yet, I wonder.

I had a leaky shower. Hired it to be fixed by them. After I had told him to be careful 24, stripped the set screw in the shower mind. He ended up using the incorrect size allen wrench (too small). Then he told me to replace it, he was going to have to cut the drywall out and cutout the pipe. And they might not patch the drywall afterwards. So I would have a gaping hole in my walls. I told him to leave.
I spent a fantastic portion of the day buying components (hacksaw, channel locks). Sawed off the handle, pulled on out the cylinder. . .replaced the cylinder (which was a real nuisance to find ). . .then bought new hardware to the shower (manage and shower head). Set me back a fantastic chunk of money and a day. . .all of which could have been avoided if he had just listened to me about that place screw. The specialists need to have the ability to handle it using gear and the ideal spray, although I know set screws can be difficult to take out if they're frozen.

Very bad experience. Relied to suggest/provide a bathroom that had the same footprint as our toilet. Despite us paying $80 so that they could affirm the toilet installation issues and carrying off 2 afternoons, Schwartz could not find. Schwartz tried to bill us twice their regular installation charges to install that bathroom when I did the prep, that they should have done and discovered my bathroom.
He wouldn't return my call, although I tried to talk to the owner.
Would not use this provider again.

Only spent $98 tell me they don't operate on jacuzzi bathtubs and to have a technician come to my home when they might have told me over the phone! Sorry business training! Won't be calling them again!

I've worked with Jerry and Matt. They're outstanding.
In case you've got a plumbing problem in the Raleigh area call these guys. Over the previous few years I have had a water heater installed a blockage removed, and an valve installed.
Plumbing issues are not enjoyable, but if you want the problem and call these guys!

Wasted two valuable afternoons of our lives dealing on what should happen to be a very simple job with this particular company. When they came out to provide the quote, they didn't bother to use a measuring tape.

I called this company about the primary shutoff valve inside my home not functioning, so I don't have any water. They NEVER called me backagain. They state 24 hour assistance, but they may not return a message or pickup the telephone. I would NOT recommend this folks

This organization is wonderful. We have have had to call them multiple times. They are on time, do work that is excellent, and the office staff is helpful and friendly. We have not ever had a problem with scheduling or pricing.

My mom's water heater busted this week and she called Schwartz Plumbing outside to replace it. She has been so delighted with the amount of service she received from her service supplier, Sam, which will be awesome. She said every piece of mess cleaned up and even swept the area before installing anything new. She is not a yelper, so I'm putting it out there because of her.

As a result of Schwartz Plumbing due to their quick response time to some running shower/tub which would not turn away. I needed to shut off the water . The issue needed to be addressed quickly! Nobody can come out, although I called several different areas that provided provider. I had the problem fixed in only 30 minutes and called Schwartz and someone was at my house within four weeks. I was also able to pay the telephone over and was instantly emailed a receipt.

Thank you for another job well done!!
Jerry assessed the situation arrived on time, and mended a rather leak around our kitchen sink. During precisely the call, he managed another more minor problem but managed it with courtesy and the efficacy regarding the importance of it.
I have only had good customer service and experience from this company in the past, and now delivered

The technician was getting pretty mad by now, so I went ahead and paid him... I paid $78 for someone else to come out and say"call someone else" (side note, the man was there to get a total of 8 minutes)($78, Invoice# 26359, 07/18/14). I figured I could work this out with a manager or the owner, and only allow the technician leave (in a hurry).
Schwartz Plumbing followed up on a water heater installation, but didn't notify me that they would charge an extra $78, when I contested the fee, then got angry.
I told the technician I was never informed that they charged to emerge. Instead of listening to me, or trying to speak to somebody back at their workplace, the technician just begun to get upset, and eventually become bossy saying"well, I've gotta get paid ". Since he wasn't likely to telephone the office about it, I called them. I told them (the exact same receptionist) that when this had been scheduled, they only said"oh sure, we'll send someone to check on that for you", never mentioning it would cost $78 to follow up in my $3625 installation.
We saw the escape in July (our original installation was 01/31/14), and that I called Schwartz and I explained I had a new installation a few months back and wanted to see if they could check on this escape, because I didn't know a lot about what all they had done. The receptionist looked up my accounts, and said"Sure, we can send a technician over to check on that for you! When would be a good time?" We scheduled the technician to come 07/18/14 out during childbirth.
What???
I told the receptionist that I wished to talk to someone and she said that with drove home from Virginia but would phone me when they return. Fine, ok. I started to get pretty disappointed with Schwartz.
If they had mentioned that only checking in their own work would cost $78, I'd have not scheduled work with them. I'd have predicted somebody I was sure could really correct the problem, or diagnose it... or do something... anything. But seemingly, Schwartz will bill you $78 to say"call someone else".
The technician was in a rush that day, and called me to meet with him early. I fulfilled a half hour early to the technician at 11:30 am, and hurried to the house. Over 1 minute, '' he stated that it was not the old hot water heater outlines, but some thing with the HVAC and once there, the technician went to the attic and proceeded to leave. I asked if there was anything that they could help with, or if they had any suggestions and he just said"you want to call an AC man". Okay... nice, no problem. I chased him for assessing on their installation (because I'd spend $3625 with them), and since we were walking out he said"okay, that'll be 78"...
I told the manager that I needed to post this issue to review the BBB, and he just said"well, do whatever you need". I asked if they even cared they were hoping to sneak an extra $78 from us after we spent $3625 together... The manager only attempted to get me off the phone.
I waited three days and never heard from anybody at Schwartz. Leave the following message and I chose to call. After 5 days I finally talked with someone. I reminded them that I was not informed that I'd be charged $78 to possess someone just"check". The manager reviewed my installation and went back and decided that it'd been too long to look at this follow up call. The original installation was on 01/31/14, the leak check was on 07/18/14... That's less than 6 weeks.
We went with Schwartz because they had the tankless hot water heater we wanted (the Navien NPE-240A) and they could set up the recirculating system we wanted. Setup through Schwartz's price was a little large, thus we chose to go for it, but we needed a system.

Prompt, courteous, professional service. Careful with all our stuff, cleaned after replacing our gas water heater. Didn't invent issues to jack up the invoice, unlike any other contractor we had spoken with before. That said, the price seems excessive. A warranty gas heater, and polyurethane insulation and the couple connectors they provided, go at Lowes. Subtracting that and even a generous $150 toward trucks and tools means the $1350 cost renders $800 for less than 3 person-hours of labour. $275/hour. I would expect more than the usual labour warranty for such rates.
