(I posted this review for Hague Quality Water as well, since I believe it's the Exact Same Firm that did the work described below)Each and every person I have dealt with at Hague has been phenomenal. Kim, Christian, and Casey answered all our questions, explained everything I needed to know, and were friendly, prompt.
They've made a new customer for life.
I've been impressed from the second I have been in touch with United Plumbing Contractors. We had a backup in our cleanup that they came out and recognized to be pipe misalignment at a connector (from a preceding cleanout setup ).
Avoid At All Costs...We sold our house in south San Jose, but we needed to find a permit to our water heater and water softener prior to hands changed. Who knew?
And much more: At least a week after the work was done and bill paid, Kim said"Cody did not have the insulating material required for the water heater when he worked on it. He will come by tomorrow. He arrived and came $50 plus $10 for substance. Could it have cost less if he did it the first time?
Go somewhere else.
We only had our inspection, although I was not even going to write an overview. The verdict? Nothing required to be performed to the water heater to maneuver and receive a permit. The softener? To estimate the inspector..."I've never heard of the need to vent through the roof. You had a perfectly good softener and it's gone".
Listen to this: For the water softener to pass inspection and earn a permit, they maintained it needed to be vented in the garage (where it sat) throughout the roof. That's 2 floors and a loft over the garage. . .at a cost of"a few thousand dollars". I told Cody to select the softener out.
Since Hague installed the softener after our location was developed in 2003, we called them. I did not read my own advice from October 2017.
(this was posted at Hague - Los Gatos)
Long story short....We mostly spoke with Kim in their Los Gatos office. However, the project seemed to be outsourced to United Plumbing Contractors in Campbell. Cody, a pleasant and relatively young guy, came to our home at the appointed time and dealt with my spouse because I was at work (although she called me with big decisions).
There is more: For the water heater, Cody (or the individual he was getting instructions from. He was on the phone many days with his home office), said we needed to attach a separate piece of equipment at a cost of"several hundred dollars". "You want it to pass inspection". Therefore we said yes we're not plumbers.
UPC obtained via a call to us we made to replace the valve. They quoted up to $500 for us to cover out of pocket"to be safe since the job might consist of access work up to half a day".
I called and talked to Kim who promised to look into this and call me back"Monday". Never heard back. 4-5 other times were called by me within a couple of weeks and left messages. Never heard back. Their mailbox is full and not even receiving messages. Not sure if they went out of business or ignoring their customers across the board.
They ended up not needing to perform all this access work. The entire project took less than 1.5 hours. They make the most of my wife being home and billed her almost $500 on top of the $300 the guarantee paid.
Fantastic. Found leak in sink and mended my faucet. Arrived on time. Plumber was helpful and extremely pleasant.
After we had our reverse osmosis (RO) filter altered with Hague, there was a big leak all supporting our cabinets and discharged through the floor and into the kitchen. Hague came following 4 calls or a single telephone to Pete. I am still unsure if Hague Water Quality and UPC would be the same business.
After we had a flow from our old galvanized pipes on the side Pete came out crawled under our home and fixed the problem and with a fee which has been way below what we anticipated.
We had another clog from the RO system and we texted Pete to get it looked at and he'd Arthur outside in one hour to repair it. The RO system provides us the best tasting quality water with our tap water that is treasured, but has given us problems that we would like to deal with. Luckily UPC is very responsive, fixes the issues immediately, and with exceptional customer service.
Pete and the UPC staff did all of our custom pipes for our kitchen remodel, bath inclusion and after. We were quite pleased.
You and info make it sound good on Yelp but failed to execute later failing 3 times or adapt. That is extremely small business.
Pete will probably come up with alternatives that you wouldn't have thought about also is one plumber that is smart. Pete was brought into our kitchen project by Jared Lewis Construction. He made recommendations that were quite fair like placing our RO system into our storage area and assessed our project. That freed up space for the instant hot I wanted (incidentally, Pete recommended I never get an instant hot system since they don't have a long life span, which was verified by the shop I purchased the machine from... it's nice that he informed me and allow me to create the best decision about if I wanted the machine and it's afterwards upkeep price ).
Pick United Plumbing and you will get great service and technicians that are aware of what they are doing!
I used Pete to install a new toilet sink (with new plumbing), and fix the review report findings. Pete knows what he is doing... He is a super nice you too. I am happy we used Pete and will use him again :)
There was a significant escape in fittings directly before main water shutoff valve which threatened to become a significant problem. Pete came discovered a way to rearrange his schedule and fixed it in a simple and effective way. I am grateful and really impressed.
Had a leaking water heater needing replacement 5 yrs to 6 yr guarantee. Called the installer who lent close to the cost of a brand new water heater to replace this. I called them and they were very useful, getting me a fair estimate for replacing the heater under guarantee and quickly making a service call for them to do the job like I consented. They came out, got the job doing a top job of cleaning up after. Very polite and thorough, showing excellent craftmanship in the aluminum pipe perspiration etc.. Out came the bill and they charged me. In the front office communications to the work site function, these guys impressed me and I would definitely use them again if demand arises.
