Northside Renovations has been serving Chicago home owners since 2002. We are a highly trusted, highly rated firm. We've got the highest ratings possible on Angie's List and Yelp.
I would highly recommend reaching out if you've got a remodeling project.
The price was fair and the group was completely professional. They did a great job including demolition. I really liked that they were able to see problems ahead of time and provide feedback on our design ideas.
The project took about two weeks total, which is about what they estimated. The daily team weren't hard workers, but were pleased to answer our questions.
I recommend the team from North Side Renovations. After having horrible experiences I will say Gerry & George are THE best! I am already trying. Jeremy's quotation was quite reasonable compared to other businesses for bathroom remodels.
Gerry and George (the builders on my job) were amazing. They are extremely skilled, punctual, friendly, and honest. They always had a solution to some"remodel surprises" Working time is challenging if there had been any issues, but Gerry has rather communicative via text and he was in arriving early to the day before I left work, so we can discuss any issues flexible.
Jeremy came outside to see the reach of the projects and gave me an quote so I could decide what was in my budget for my bathroom remodel. I appreciate he respected I was on a budget and knew.
I recommend north side renovations & I look forward to work his team in future for whatever!
His team (Jerry & George) aren't any different then him, they're very easy going team, gifted, friendly & most importantly they're very professionals in regards to get the task finished. They made sure that everything is 100%.
Jeremy is one the contractor out very responsible guy, his flixble & there. Did an wonderful job renewing our kitchen from the top to the floor. His recommendations would be the very best & look out work together with you to make sure that you receive the very best deal out.
I've been utilizing the guys at North Side Renovations for years and have had 2 kitchens remodeled and have always been pleased with the outcome and the contractors have been very knowledgeable and considerate when living in a construction zone. They also have been able to trouble shoot some intricate unexpected"surprises" that is so useful when working on a mature building, full of"surprises". So the gist of it...I adore North Side Renovations. . .and I despise"surprises"
In a separate room, we had our water spigot burst the first time we turned it on following winter. The team replaced the damaged piping and spigot Along with replacing the insulation/drywall and painting.
The team was in-and-out of the team and the place in both Jeremy and two days. The work was completed as per the estimate, which was considerably lower from.
We really liked the work that North Side Renovations completed for us and I would recommend them for future jobs.
For both issues, the team did as good a job as they could keeping covering our furniture with plastic sheeting or taping plastic sheeting to the walls so that the drywall dust did not spread everywhere.
We had two different water damage problems:
Because of heat from a pipe in our condo, the drywall in the ceiling of our kitchen started to peel away. We wanted to put in a drip pan to preclude this. However, there wasn't enough room from the ceiling when the damaged regions sprayed on insulation over the piping, installed new insulation and gutters and were eliminated so that the team pivoted, and painted the ceiling. It looks good as new!
So yeah. We had stuff and some damage out of a roof leak. Jeremy and his staff gave me a quote that was sensible and began the work. They did a great job and were strangely punctual for builders. They worked pretty fast and were all very professional.
I had this business bid a remodel for me. He was considerate and certainly very nice but it was totally obvious he couldn't handle a home renovation. The owner continued to suggest he was so busy and seemed nervous but the saying was more like dread. I didn't believe he was excited about working on a vintage home and I didnt find him confident in his team and he never provided the bid which was requested anyway (that was minimally Unprofessional. I can't say don't hire, but seems a inspection will be wise.
No call no show. Once I called who operates like that?I was given a window had to wait all Saturday for no telephone. I had been told I'd be given a telephone a 1/2 an hour earlier. I called to confirm my appointment every day before. NOTHING
I can't say enough good things about Jeremy and the Northside Renovations team. Hey have done everything from small repairs and have finished ahead of schedule and under estimate. His staff is polite, respectful and professional. They describe what they are doing and look for ways to make things more effective. I'd almost come to expect getting gouged or disappointed for this type of material bc of all the poor experiences I've had with other companies in this area, but Jeremy and staff have earned my trust and have been my go-to source for any job I need done for my property. You can't go wrong with these guys.
Northside Renovations came to rescue my bathroom remodel after another firm did work. They did good job, were professional and prompt, and the procedure went smoothly. I adore my bathroom now and I'd hire them again!
Jeremy did a fantastic job in renovating my condominium unit. The scale of job included flooring setup, whole unit painting and other miscellaneous requests that were strange. His team and he was very professional and were consistently helpful. The entire job was finished on time. I'll definitely recommend his firm.
Jeremy and his team were able to open up a wall in our condo where we'd detected bubbling paint, likely from a water flow of some kind. We quickly determined the leak's source (waste PVC pipe) caused by a pinhole from the pipe from a drywall nail, likely during a previous renovation. Needless to say, the pit was sealed and new drywall was installed. Day work was finished in roughly a half and did not have to worry about clean-up afterwards.
Wehave had good experiences and've worked together with Jeremy and his men a couple of times today. They've also done a small electrical work, painting, lots of drywall, replacing doors, etc.. The work has been performed in a timely fashion and also for a very reasonable price. There have been a couple of times they done without any argument and realized they were going to have to go back and redo some work and one of the men has made an error. As some builders would you can be certain that they are not going mess and walk away. We found Jeremy to be a reasonable person to use.
We got things started in November with the expectation that we would be able to enjoy two new toilets by New Years. (we'd be off for Christmas). Guess what. . .they did it. They timed it good with just two week quotes for each and we allowed for one week that was extra buffer. No problems trusting keys to them throughout the job. They got one bathroom done and in support for us before Thanksgiving (we had been in town), and the other toilet done before we had to leave town for Christmas.
Jeremy was fast to respond with scheduling a trip to perform a quote (ok. . .he probably was the closest geographically). The two others came afterwards. What I wound up with was in what has to be three tiers of support, three bids. At the highest grade (in 3x the cost ) provided design services in our house with selections of finishes. Northside was the lowest grade - but provided exactly what we needed - we pick our finishes by going to designers (or DIY) at exactly what he recommended nearby - House Depot and Floor & Decor (for tile - ask for Cyndy for design help). . .and they take good care of the installation.
Enough words. . .here's our photos. (Decided not to post before photos. . .trust me they seemed terrible in terms of wasting space in a bathroom with oversize fixtures and lack of storage. Windows in shower/bath spaces were done with complete or partial wood trim. :)
In doing bathroom remodels, I shopped the three Yelped contractors round Rogers Park with reviews. We were seeking to do our toilets, one after another.
Very patient and understanding and throughout the punch list wrap. Throughout the demo work, items were set aside by them that I could Craigslist items for reuse instead of sending them to the dump. I found it easy to meet up with his team in the timely beginning of each of their days achieve his team or Jeremy by needed, and to solve questions about the direction of work.
We guessed Northside to our initial toilet can try out and reevaluate for the bath. When some designer/contractors may indicate adding custom finishes - Jeremy was about considering the tradeoffs of cost custom work versus options to deal with the very same problems sensible.
Is a job going to always go just as you expected? Jeremy and his North Side/Northside crew do their best to make it right, although People get ill, mistakes happen.
We have had builders in for jobs since owning our house and NONE have compared to Jeremy and his crew! I feel so excited to have found somebody to work with for future jobs!
The crew of jeremy arrived with in the time period they said they'd regular and Jeremy always made check ins to see how they were doing. I left my keys because we aren't home during the afternoon but kept an eye on items through our house safety cameras and never saw anything but work going on. They cleaned everyday to the best of the ability that was much appreciated since it. They finished exactly when they estimated they would and it seriously seems perfect (better than I envisioned).
Jeremy Aylesworth has been the very responsive (via telephone, email and text) builder I've EVER worked with! I contacted him the week and he came out on that Saturday to give us a quotation. His quotation included everything but he was open to my questions about any'sudden' prices which could arise and how he charges for them (i.e. the difficult to find trim we have). His quote was spot on to the price that was a welcomed change from an earlier builder we worked with one year ago.
We had North Side Renovations unite two bedrooms into a massive master bedroom and everything went smoothly and the room seems amazing! The quote was on where Jeremy said it'd be, right. Jeremy is a wonderful man to work with and has been the standard of work being done and the contractor who really seemed to care about our business. We will definitely be going to Jeremy for future projects (and we have some in our old house).
Jeremy got back to me immediately regarding a ceiling issue that I had in my own condo. 1 of his personnel, Max, showed up on-time and took care of the work right away and had been in and out within an hour and a half (not to mention they could take care of my ever-changing program ). Our ceiling seems good as fresh.
I've worked at Northside Renovations on projects for my unit as well as projects for my condominium building. His rates are extremely reasonable and the job has been top-notch. I would have no trouble recommending them to friends or loved ones and will definitely use Northside again.
We have known Jeremy for almost 20 decades, he'd work in 2001 back on our condo in Andersonville and the bathroom renovation was so good we sold for top dollar! Jeremy was there for us as our family grew we ended up in a Historic Chicago Bungalow on the South side and he'd toilet projects and small carpentry tasks. In 2014, we moved into a house which needed lots of upgrading. The powder room on the first floor was rebuilt by the team, all and walls of Jeremy. The upstairs bath was a project with an entire period recovery with 1920 tile. Jeremy's team was from start to finish. We'd highly recommend.
