Cost would be 54 $ after checking with dealer cut and to purchase a crisis door key for a 2017 chevy. Thought I'd stop in and give these guys a shot. 3 guys in the store, went and asked if they can cut a crisis door key for 2017 Chevy with V.I.N. only to find the codes. First guy sitting behind desk stated"no". Second guy behind counter asked what year it was and which type of key. 3rd guy stood up, told me they could although before I could answer, but asked when I had the car . Told him , but I'd insurance registration and drivers license. He told me I had to have the car in case he had to make adjustments. Then told me he needed to cut one of his secrets because he did not want to mess my own key up. I asked him ? He explained 175$. I advised him whoa, I head up to the dealer who said they'd purchase me precut for 54$. He was amazed at the dealer cost an said that's not usually the case, they are always less expensive than the dealer. I thanked them as I was walking out the door I heard the guy sitting at the desk tell the guy who was trying to tell me all the work he would have to do and charge me 175$," good response". I told me exactly what I wanted and moved up to the chevy dealer, he got a copy of my insurance, registration and drivers license and he went along with my key blank at the trunk and cut it. Took it back into the vehicle. Here you have a locksmith telling you they may have to do some small modifications and fixes to a key that's cut on a computerized digitally coded precision CNC machine. Hey,it is a private organization, treat and charge your customers as you'd like, but I'm just giving a heads up about these guys before you waste money and your time here to potential customers.
Why do we not give zero stars? They came out to open my door to allow my pet sitter in while I was out of town and could not pick a lock. What good is a locksmith that can't open a doorway of working with it after an hour? I really don't have ones or locks. He wished to destroy my lock so that he could place a fresh one in and charge me money. Even after not doing anything that they still charged me 85 bucks. Unless you need your door ruined do not use this business and your wallet picked clean. Con artists!
