Without joining the wires, if labor is included by the whip how do you install it?
It mintes to find the problem with my A/C, that was great. I was quoted $700 for the fix. Sounds rather expensive but I approve the fix. The last bill is $1113 after he is finished he informs me. That is a bit greater than what was quoted.
The wiring charge I believe is charging double for work paid for.
I feel like I was taken advantage of

$240 labour to wire whip, following my protest of this is not any where near what I was quoted he just charged $120 labour for wiring.

I found Air Today on Yelp once I had been looking to get quotes for a new furnace. Air Today had reviews that are high and after doing some homework we ended up moving to replace our furnace. In person for the quotation to the installers, all were professional, courteous and friendly. We are so pleased with the clean up afterwards and the job they did. We had used another firm for the past ten years and we're currently Air Today clients!

Got Honeywell WiFi freon and thermostat.
In May AC not keeping cool . Throughout winter not keeping warm enough.
I did work to find out if Air Today could replace Unicom system. They could not. Don't have access to their techs and equipment not factory trained. Not enough Unicom units in Charlotte area for them to justify cost.
In June, (prior to brand new system) Tech Josh came. Fan not turning on. He checked lover . Worked fine. Tested thermostat. Indicated fan relay in thermostat not functioning. Also tested freon pressure. Indicated down 1 lb.
I understand. Got replacement system from another contractor that was authorized.
Price thermostat, but had on truck, set up, and rechecked.
We've got a heat pump, 2002 Unicom high static system, which has unique 2.5" dia duct system.

Tech Jaron came in. Diagnosis old R22 freon down 2.5 - 3 lbs. Evaporator revealed corrosion of galvanized sheet. Presumed caused pin holes in copper tubing. Additional 3 lb R22 freon. Said had no idea how long could keep up pressure, or if. Recommended new system due to age, cost to repair does not justify using old R22 freon that will available in 2020. I discovered Jaron didn't synthesize caps on freon ports of condenser unit. I screwed them on.
System check. Freon pressure fine.

Of course my AC broke on the day of the summer. Air Today was the AC company in Charlotte that came into my rescue grace. Josh Whisenant was fixed my device in almost no time at all and really nice.
Kirk Martin was wonderful in pricing out a new system for me personally. He priced and educated me. He was no pressure and even recommended a system because he thought the quality was improved. Also said if I needed to hold off the season's close, he would give me some freon to get by. That's top notch service. Prices are extremely competitive with the two quotes I got.
