So I had a leak in upstairs and called it to be reported by HomeServe. They sent out IRV Plumbing. The tech showed up and said that they were not permitted to cut in the drywall where the flow was. A company was sent out by IRV. They tracked in dirt, mud and dry-vac machines and came into my home during a rain storm. They cut a hole ripped up carpet and take out the flooring in both bathrooms. I never heard from Restopro back again. My insurance broker even called to get an estimate and....nothing! Inquire what the hell was happening and I eventually had to call IRV. IRV sent the same tech back just for him to say that my condensate line ran to the home rather than outside and the expense to re-route would be around $3000. I never agreed or disagreed with the number but to this day never heard from either company . I later discovered that the line was clogged and happily paid somebody to purge the line. What is with all of the Be honest and open . I wish I could convince you to be removed by HomeServe and Restopros as service providers.
Once the code didn't arrive I known as code in enforcement in NC & SC in an endeavor to confirm and climbed more specious, they both confirmed that there is NO code requirement for the repairs of IVR.
The code requirements surprised me being that the unit is quite new and questioned the tech. He assured me that the further work is absolutely required by NC. I reminded him that the land was in SC and he was convinced that it was required in SC also, even offering to send me the code language that was specific.
Don't trust them and if you do choose to call the totally get a 2nd opinion.
To summarize IRV failed to examine the issue, then LIED claiming that $721 in repairs were demand when actually the unit is in working order and using all code requirements.
I told IRV I had lost trust in them and ask them to meet with me at the property, thats when we able to confirm this in fact NO repair was needed after all.
That all changed when I called them 2 weeks after our renter complained of a lack of water, I called IRV to investigate. They called again with his or her diagnosis.
IVR installed an entire A/C and furnace system . They provided, although I hated to spend the $ I was pleased with work and the service.
Run from the company if you can! They installed our AC unit, which took to allow them to do so during the period of the summer! They missed appointments! Were anticipated for us to be available if they felt like coming out to complete the job and displays! They had no regard for the inconvenience that they place us thru..as when we could only call our place of employment and tell them"hey! I am not going to be in tomorrow since I'm having my ac unit installed!" . . A number of days of work were missed due to them telling us they'd be there and then at the last minute ! This was the worst experience I ever had with a company! Worst customer service experience! I was even hung up on by Among the repetitions Katie! Sears needs to contract out into a company that is better! I would NEVER recommend them!

In February a gas line conducted to our gas range. The first time it failed county review. Now, in September,we had a gas flow. Again and in February today IRV is very tricky to speak with. She had been insolent as if I had been bothering her with a gas 20, when I finally got through to someone. She chastised me . Their shoddy work might have been even catastrophic. She told me, on hold again, that they could send someone. . .for a gas flow! These people are expensive, untrustworthy, unresponsive. Morris-Jenkins sent out someone. They discovered that IRV linked the gas line incorrect! I'm out 500 dollars but I hope Morris-Jenkins to stand by their work. Never anticipate IRV with your life or your home!
Jeremiah has been a saving grace to finish fixing fireplace going on since last November! I give him five stars but not the corporation!
This was for services that are electrical. I had two exterior outlets that were not working. Girl on the phone told me that there was a little $49 service fee that can be credited to work done. OK. Shane comes out, spends an hour attempting to determine the issue, does not know for sure but believes a connection was never made to support the front two outlets when the house was originally built in 2015 (I'm the second owner). Asks for $215 for the diagnostic. What happened to the $49? Oh, there is another $166 to get a"troubleshoot fee". Wasn't disclosed. So $49 gets you and then if I wish to understand what's wrong, I must pay more? Shady tactic.
Then Shane informs me it'll be $350 for the fix that'll take 12 holes in my wall to conduct a new line through my garage from the circuit breaker. Can not do it day since he does not have spackle to close the holes up.
Companies such as this are why I DIY as much as possible. I must have paid more attention to other Yelp reviews. I can not stand dishonest people or businesses. However, not convinced in my electric skills.

Next evening comes back and had an"epiphany" overnight he wouldn't have to conduct a new line, he could connect through another room. Job that would have taken considerable amount of time abruptly takes about one hour.
I DANNIE responded in one hour and a half and predicted IRV this afternoon. He fixed the problem I had and took a peek at some other electrical problems. He supplied a diagnosis for a pendulum fixture which was useful and the fixture will be replaced by me instead of have it fixed. I will ask DANNIE and have work to do in long run. Pleasant, efficient and friendly.
Because an electric switch in my cellar was not functioning, no 15, I called. Also, my AC started blowing hot air. I believed both problems might be related. Shane came out to my home and assessed and explained it has to be a GFCI switch else. I advised him I checked all the GFCI switches and they were good. He insisted that there was. Lo and behold, he discovered it hiding behind among the plants in my cellar!
Shane was very pleasant to deal with and IRV even called to tell me that he had been running around 20 minutes supporting our scheduled appointment time. Fantastic support! I will certainly use them again to my electric demands.

They replaced an outlet, installed a number of replacement lighting fixtures, and added a whole house surge protector. On the other hand, the man was polite and ready to provide an estimate . One of the negative (1) set in an 2-gang socket with 1 white and 1 beige socket; (2) did a messy job cutting off the openings for the recessed lights which will require extra mudding and prep before painting; and (3) worst, he glanced the install of the surge protector by gnawing up the border of the metal cover to the primary box and overlapping the surge protector trim over the key trim at a weird angle. Allow me to add that our chief is in the hallway, not hidden in a closet. I asked IRV to send someone else out to fix this mess on sending out the same man, but they insisted. I wanted a fresh install of the surge protector and a cover for the main. He leaves to get a cover for the panel. Could not get a new panel cover (it is in the 1960s and its 8pm). So he has sawed the cover's border off. He'd have installed this complete with all the sharp burred edge if I had not checked and forced him go grind it (sort of) smooth. Hope that which I can't see (wiring at the wall/ceiling) is much better than that which I can see.
The electric switch in my rooms are not working. So I called she put up an the tomorrow and today and Melissa spoke. Melissa does an awesome job in answering my queries and caring for me. She makes me feel like I am a valued customer. A person will probably be coming out to take a peek. I had a buddy cut on it and then to look at the breaker and it kept switching tripping back. So, I am getting an electrician out to my property. I am not certain although I initially thought that because of the HVAC and water heater harm that it might have damaged my cord or cables. I had extensive work done on getting water heater and a brand new AC with IRV HVAC and they did an awesome job. I have to mention in caring for me as well as the services that QUAID did an great job. Then he returned my call and I called to follow up on a question and made availability to answer it. Quaid came back to my house to verify my AC due to the cold/hot weather changes in NC and he wished to be certain that the AC would operate well. Melissa had failed an awesome job putting in the Water Heater and letting me know about my appointments and when the guys had arrived to complete the job for your AC and communicating with me. I had got new toilets too. This company is wonderful and I'd recommend them to other people.
The good news was he was on time. The bad news is I was given a bogus estimate for $2365 value of work by him. He showed me pictures of plain water on plumbing. I asked him point blank if this could be condensation as we've got a very well and cold water and he said no. I got a different licensed plumber to come out after he left. He said he would love the company but that there are no leaks. It is dry, although the powder room had leaked in one time. He charged me an $89 trip fee and saved me $2300. I am not certain if Garry or IRV Plumbing is the offender, but both are extremely dishonest.
Great experience. Purchased an Angie's List deal for $89 to substitute 1 faucet. Emmett stopped by, on time and very professional. He said since my crawlspace was inaccessable if necessary, he could rebuild the faucet, but was able to manage a full replacement. Quickly repaied and operates flawlessly.
He gave a full plumbing inspection, which was helpful Called out things which were easily fixable, some chances if we wanted to put money into some developments, but surely no pressure to us.
Emmett was awesome to use and both my wife and I had been very happy!
STAY AWAY!!!! Locate a genuine professional firm!!! Paid a bunch of cash to tell me a gas leak that is simple could be repaired by them.
IRV does it right the first time! Very knowledgeable and skilled plumbers and the people at work were great also. I've used them on multiple events for numerous things they fixed. Very inexpensive and dependable too. Ask for Melissa if you call, she will help steer you through the procedure and make it a better experience!!
Great experience, dispatch was efficient and timely. Technician respected our home was super nice and fixed the issue about the Sunday before Memorial Day. Was able to use a bargain thru Yelp and they have others through Angie's List. Will certainly use them. Can't talk to the electrical division but if it is anything like the pipes, I'm convinced it'll be great.
Okay here is an update. I called the company back since I wasn't glad. I spoke to Melissa really nice young lady. I advised her that I wasn't happy and the problems I had. She listened and listened. She said she'd call me . In 30 minutes since she had to look for my paperwork. She called me this afternoon. If somebody could be home because technician is coming to examine issues, and asked. He did and was able to caulk the place in my toilet. Melissa called me personally to learn if it was fixed. I told her it was caulked. Tech had abandoned. She sent him back to look at my toilet. He tried to explain what I had to order. She put someone to talk with him. I will order slice I need and she said as it comes, they'll come to mend. This to me is very good customer services. They're currently trying to create and miserable customer happy. When just job is completed I will give an update.
