We live in Indiana. The young guy who came worked and was educated. We ended up having to drill the lock and replace all. He was personable throughout and did a great job. This was a great experience under the conditions. Thanks Amerikey!!
Locked from our house and requested the doorway to open. They were quick to arrive (less than 30 minutes) and gave me the price before beginning the job. I'd have given 5 stars but I thought price was a little high. But, I have not needed this service before I am expecting too little a price for this particular service.

Huge waste of time. Save yourself time and utilize another locksmith.
I called in to comprehend what happened. My first telephone was disconnected after I asked what happened after which following calls (I predicted about 6-8 days ) were simply automatically hung up.
I scheduled an appointment times with this corporation in advance. On the day of the appointment, if they can move the appointment back a couple of hours, they called to ask. I altered my strategies and agreed. I waited the entire day to allow them to arrive but... they never did.
I received a text message saying I no longer require service -- that is untrue.

I shared my grievances, and the caller stated that she was with Amerikey, so I guess that is who gets the review?

Shifting the lock actually cost $190, and he said that the dollar speed previously mentioned is for a mailbox key. The person that we booked the appointment knew what we needed to have done - and gave us the cheapest speed which didn't pertain to our needs. This is like me calling Macy's to inquire how much suits price, and also for them to state that sale items start at $15 (speaking to socks).

My girlfriend hired a business known as"BK Lock" or something like that. They stated that the individual could come at 6:30pm, and lent locks as"beginning at $35". They also said that they may cut additional keys on the spot - that did not make sense but I'm often surprised what technologies can accomplish.
So I requested the locksmith to remind me on top of it all, I planned on writing an overview of this provider. He said Amerikey, that was weird as my girlfriend was connected with the"BK Locks" business. So if you are counting, that is 3 company names. Great!
They could not cut keys . The man said I could pay him to run to Home Depot for us - or we could just do it and spend less. Thank you for the suggestion dude!
I'd give star to them like if they never arrived at all but things could have been worse. A project was completed at least...

Then he proceeded to attempt to prove me wrong by showing me that the timestamp of his initial service order text which said 8:32am(still more than an hour late,"New York visitors". . .sure) he knew I had no other option so billed me a hefty cost. Rude mofos all around, I was ready to chew him out, but I was convinced by my better half otherwise. Left me with a damaged lock, short a cold $100 plus a bitter taste in my mouth. Never again. Ever.
I would, if I could give zero stars. I phoned them around 7am.
Update: got a call from Ralphie(the first respondent saying he is out front) so they are con artists too.

Whatever the case, I was worried that somebody who would not communicate with me but glared at me in anger and I, was now changing the locks onto a house I let to men and women. This was not a space for discussion, but I worry that somebody who can't even conceal his contempt (whether it is my race/gender/veteran standing or whatever) could endanger my security or the security of my renters. Before he left, and as I wrote the test to the two's professional, the male that was contemptuous talked to somebody on the phone, then looked at my plates and began peering in my car. I made eye contact with him, and I was upset. I wanted them away from the property.
I called them back to follow up, only to be hung-up on THREE days before anything could be said. That I will be going to file a complaint, although Whatever the case, I won't only seek the services of a different locksmith. I will also be informing LVMPD of the interaction in addition to make/model of the motor vehicle, their plates. I had been paying attention.
I hired Amerikey out in vegas and the experience was really bizarre and unnerving. The locksmiths, two men in their late 30s, arrived to change the guards. The main man, who had been paid, was, actually professional but appeared to have a hard time understanding me. His spouse, looked at my car (which has an Iraq veteran decal ) and began looking at me up and down with contempt. It's fine to have your opinion that is political, but he had no idea exactly what I did, or what mine was.
I spoke with my husband, who agreed that the interaction was not only unprofessional but creepy to say the least, after they left. Then I called the company and spoke with a customer service specialist that was supposed. He said they take concerns like mine seriously, and his supervisor would contact me this day or the next day.
Amerikey deserves no enterprise, and no stars.

The key will work but so will every other locksmith. This isn't the location if you're trying to find a location that assure you a refund af ty error Mischarging you and will not make the most of your situation. Horrible scammy and customer support.

Asked for pricing on a non-chipped Saturn sc2 key. Was contested I thought the key wasn't chipped and was"schooled" that each key with a black handle is chipped and then gave me an estimate of almost $200 bucks for a service trip and a new key... chose to call a household friends locksmith business in Spring Hill Florida and has been informed I was right regarding the key not having a processor and I could visit gm for 15 bucks and get a new one. The simple fact that this place is currently trying to lie and cheat a college student from 200 bucks is criminal! In addition, if your servicing in the Florida place your yelp page ought to say that your . Not allowing other reviews to find reviews for other places is sneaky, but once you visit the Amerikey site yelp reviews are everywhere. I will tell as many ppl as I can to never use this service because of these business practices. Please don't contact me as I'm not taking down this review and when I'm contacted I'll put this on as numerous review site! I understand this is a company but some responsibility because of its builders is essential! The reason Comcast is so terrible this is!

I discovered them and asked them to install the panic/push bars. Out of 7 estimates, Amerikey gave me the best price. Out of companies, the owner of Amerikey seemed very knowledgeable and knew exactly what he was talking about. My decision to hire them was based on experience and his understanding. They are very organized and have an expert team.
They are highly recommended by me for business or your house.

I called the supervisor who said I didn't sympathize with me and needed to pay it, nor even try to clarify these fees were justified.
Complete crooks.
I used the service of this company .
Later he said he would first of all, the locksmith came a half an hour. We were offered by him for shifting 4 locks at $10 extra for a security pin on one of them 15, and then a industrial space, $25 for each to come to the property.
The total came to $320, which means the charge for"labor" was $95 for 45 minutes. He didn't talk English and didn't describe at all there could be a charge for this prior to starting the job.
I rate largely if a thing is awful.

I came home on Friday night only to realize that I had locked my keys in my apartment. It's 2 am, I'm tired, and I want to get in and go to sleep. They had someone out here. The man was really nice. But he only had to substitute both the tumbler and replaced using the exact same type of security lock that I had. He gave me 3 keys I already have a backup for my fiancé along with my landlord to choose it. I was able to go sleep.
Thanks for helping me out guys. I will definitely save the amount.

Last but not leastI would love to add that my debit card info was provided by me and had to fill out a credit card authorization form. If incident somehow pertains to exposing my card info, I don't know, but I needed unauthorized transactions happen to my account.
Terrible experience! It is not recommended by me. Unacceptable and rude customer service in this specific branch. Lock change service was ordered by me and I regret it. The initial quote turned out to be something in the site, so be wary of price jump. Technician supplying the service was very late. At some stage when when my card info was obtained by them, I called to follow up, they retained disconnecting my calls and it stored automatically hung up.
Suggestion: if you have additional alternatives, refer to other people for service.

I was suckered, I mean, advised that the support call was 15 based on the online advertisement. This was confirmed by me on the phone. However, the true cost for a simple lock select (not deadbolt or landlord lock, 1 lock, less than 5 min) was $131 all in. The tech correctly told me that no one does a locksmith support for only $15 (got $85 complete on a visit a couple weeks ago. . .been a demanding month!) , but I did not value the cost gouging nearly $50 over a competitor that is wonderful. The reason I did not give star to 1 was that the service was quick, favorable on dispatch, professional, and actually opened the doorway. But it left a bad taste in my mouthand left my wallet lighter.

Our ONLY automobile key is missing! Yikes! We believe that the two yr old is that the offender I googled and came across Amerikey. The reply has been timely and on point. The tech was professional and kind. My issue is pricing that is UPFRONT. We know locksmiths are EXPENSIVE I'd like to know upfront exactly what the damage to my pocket is. Other than the sum which would be expensive with any firm it was a nice experience. Thank you!

DO NOT! After spending 4 hours on the road to drive to NY, I locked my keys in my trunk, unloaded a luggage and eventually made it into Brooklyn. I called the dispatcher and this company told me THAT IT WOULD COST 40 UNLOCK THE DOOR. When the technician got here he charged me $300 dollars!! $300 They will tell you one price on the phone and try to charge you an arm and a leg in person. I paid $20 he plagued me and since the service was denied by me as well as the dispatcher to the technician. I have never been so disrespected in my life..My first trip to New York and that I have called a MONKEY:-LRB-. . .Hopefully this doesn't occur to you, but if you need a locksmith please don't call these people!

Clearly they do not really have the skills to back up their high rates and are not honest in their prices upfront. This review can help somebody avoid dealing with this provider and learn from my mistake.
My lock ceased working on a Sunday when our locksmith was closed, so I called these guys. Was quoted $39 on the phone to come and assess the issue. The man who showed up was quite fine, but proceeded to instantly attempt to convince me that my lock required to be replaced (it was bought new 6 months ago) and he would replace it for a mere $450 (after offering me a supposed discount). When I said I could not pay that much, he then said that he could not guarantee it would function later on, although he could fix it for $250. I didn't have several choices, since I needed to depart on a trip and needed to lock my door, so I consented. He left the lock flip again, though it still seemed pretty wobbly (he told me that was ok).
Now, exactly 2 weeks later, the lock is back to being broken as before. My regional locksmith fixed it for $55 in under 20 minutes and came out. Never mentioned that it needed to be replaced. Now it works without any wobbling.

For the first time ever I recently locked myself out of my car and I began to freak out. And I had no cash on me, to make things worse I had to go to work in half an hour and I did not understand any locksmith. I searched for the closest locksmith and the first one that picked up stated they would be there in under thirty minutes. The lady I spoke to reassured me I can pay with a credit card which was and that the technician would have the ability to enter my vehicle without damaging my car door. It took moments to him to get me in to my vehicle and the technician was very proficient, I will save this locksmiths information.

Terrible service, I was guaranteed to get a call back but no one called me . In my third attempt they said they cant help me....Amerikey is a terrible locksmith to not be trusted. . .This is one of those corporations that need to get shut down for the good

My door scratching and was dragging my flooring plus it would not lock. My neighbor told me to phone Amerikey as she's used there services before. The locksmith arrived a late since I was in no rush but that is ok. He told me that there was nothing wrong with the lock but that I just needed a top hinge to be substituted. So he went to get one he had one in his truck. Plus the lock was working fine, after he set up the new hinge that the door was opening and closing easily. I am happy I got an locksmith and not someone who is gonna require me for a ride. I highly suggest This locksmith firm due to their honesty and integrity.

I Googled a locksmith to come back and open my door and was locked out of my van. Another company seemed shady and was mumbling when I asked for a cost. As soon as I phoned Amerikey the agents was professional and explained the pricing obviously over the phone, giving me confidence. The locksmith came to open my van over 10 minutes. The locksmith was in contact with me before he came. He charged me only $80 and opened my door over 2 minutes. I have to say I am quite impressed with the support having someone come to me over 10 minutes. Nice job guys, keep it up you got a client for life, hopefully I will not get locked out however.

Because I was locked out of my flat, I predicted here. It wasn't any fault of my own a lock. They were quick to respond, which was fantastic. They replaced my lock with a new one (costing more than $200) but were condescending about it, and didn't give me any options. When I told him that the lock sensed tike it stuck he told me to not worry, it would loosen up. I found myself locked out two days later. He arrived and (being stronger than I) managed to get it to turn. He said that I needed to pull the door to be sure it slid smoothly and examined it. I told him I tried this, and he spent a few minutes trying to spell out the part. It has been 4 times and it clearly is not working properly. I called back asking for a technician that was different and has been ignored.
