Thank you all for such a fantastic job!
I truly appreciate their experience within this area. They've appropriate tools and skills to fix this kind of issues. I want to call out technicians who worked on this job and were helpful:
Pasang Geljen Sherpa
I had a water leak under slab. Benjamin Franklin staff was super awesome/quick in fixing it and detecting the leak.
I had been inconvenienced and made myself accessible 9am-noon. I work on today and have appointments at the pm. I'm so angry. Happy Monday.
I really don't understand how they have a 5 rating FAKE.
On Friday, we had been told they were coming now between 9am and noon, and they said our appointment got shifted from noon to 4pm and that they scheduled it ending of 4pm (how could this shift occur without notifying us) . Disgusting. Do not telephone.
Had Mike P come out to my condo and felt forced to leave him a great review here. Not too often to have a tech educated, courteous, professional, knowledgeable and helpful all in precisely the exact same moment. A big thumbs up to him!
Into jacking up the service fees, this provider is. Had them come out now to check my tankless water heater out to see we were not getting any water. The tech came out and looked in the water heater, didn't do any diagnostic or open the device to see what the issue was, and told me that the unit was too outdated and had to be replaced. He said he could actually open the unit up and look inside to diagnose the issue, but that could cost me $200.00, which is exactly what I thought the $79.00 was for. OrI might have them set up a brand new unit for $5,900.00+. I instantly called around and to said they'd install a brand new unit. I paid him the $79.00 and informed him I wouldn't be doing business together and he told me,"That is okay, we do not want you as a customer anymore anyhow."
I would say stay away from this provider. They are
They charged us $805 that costs my friend $150 for the exact same exact job/issue. When I came out of work and saw what he'd done and how much he charged us, I was shocked. I called them to whine but they refused to do anything. I have tried phoning a few times and even on weekends nobody would call me back.
I gave a telephone to Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, although I had been reticent to have somebody else do it while I'd be off for a very long day. I was impressed immediately, I explained my situation, my urge to let somebody else work on my property, etc.. The girl I was speaking to clarified their procedure, also said they'd the time to come out immediately to examine it, give us a quote, and if we take the quote, complete the fix quickly - it assisted she stated, I knew precisely what I needed.
They confirmed my identification, showed up on time, and for under $400 replaced my junky plastic PVC valve feeding on the landscape watering methods with an excellent copper fitting. The standard of the craftsmanship was outstanding, and I see no signs of leaks at all.
A year ago I noticed a leak into our landscaping sprinkler valves in the homes water line, the flow had been exposing our water system into the risk of contamination and also on the feed side of the valve. Although Imay tackle it and sweated a lot of and've glued pvc pipes a copper pipe, my work schedule was in the way.
I enjoy that they desired to do it right, but the quality of work was so good although they weren't cheap.
I had a flood in my garage this morning and called Benjamin Franklin after a panicked Google Search.
No one wishes to deal with plumbing problems! It money down the drain, no pun intended.
1. Could not have been She advised me to keep my kids away as it had been a security threat to them and since I have kids.
4. The cost wasn't bad at all! My husband I were anticipating $1000.00 plus and it was only $179.00.
2. Communicated who'd be at my residence and when.
3. They sent TWO techs, not one! Alex and wayne were awesome. They were easy, intelligent, and professional to use. They made a debilitating situation.
They will definitely get my business for years and years to come!
First time homeowner using a house. Tried a local plumber to repair a leak. Plumber who arrived after 2 failed visits and several components arranged we and seemed really inexperienced decided to try someone else. Keith did the job at a sensible speed and identified the issue, arrived, and gave the entire house a good once again and provided advice for upkeep. His 20 years in the business comes through with each proposal, and he is an all around great guy! I will be using him and recommending him to friends moving ahead.
But I discovered that Guy had reversed cold and the hot, so they sent Guy #2. He'd fix it, but when he left the shower head had grown a trickle. I phoned them and they sent Guy # out 3, in a few more times. Not having done the preceding work or understanding anything about it, '' he stated that it was irrelevant (purely coincidental) to the work they had done and therefore not their responsibility. (But at least we didn't need to pay for the service call to find out that.)
He couldn't think of any explanation , although that it's a coincidence seems extremely unlikely to me personally. And why didn't Guy #1 note that he'd reversed cold and the hot? And why didn't Guy #2 note that he was departing the shower head? I don't know much of anything about pipes, but it seems sloppy to me.
Judging by the testimonials from last year, it seems like these people have gone downhill a little. Or maybe we were just unlucky. I called with a shower controller knob. So that it functions 7, please unstick. Guy #1 came out and did this (a $600 cartridge was required ) and sold my husband a $5000 whole home water filter system while he was here. Plus a service program that can pay service calls from them.
And now we will need to utilize BFP for a whole year to receive our money's worth out of this service package that is damn. Grrrr.
Talked to 4 plumbers. BFP was the 4th. First three didn't listen and cared about just how much they could gouge me. Benjamin Franklin's techs came up and listened. They were on time, cheap and their team was wonderful!
There's no such thing as monsters, this is what I tell my kids. That is until you're faced with a massive plumbing problem. Then as an adult, you know that monsters are actually real.
Wayne was awesome! He's no BS and by the end of the plumbing nightmare, '' he felt just like family. The entire team that worked and came in our home were really easy to use. This was a job that is big frightening and they really worked hard to be certain I did not have work done than was necessary. It was a week long anxiety attack for me personally but they came through and in the long run it wasn't as bad as initially predicted.
We also signed up for their upkeep service that entails electrical although not only plumbing too. So far so great. We were impressed. In case you've got a big scary job, call Benjamin Franklin.
Matters were off in my toilet. Between if I did laundry it backed up into the toilet and the tub , just not flushing. Something was wrong. So Benjamin Franklin was named by my man.
Never showed up even after we were given a support. After call, the office were awarded a 4-hour window and advised us that we were next to the list. Don't expect their"guaranteed service". Very unprofessional.
I was not happy with the technology that came into my residence. I had him look at a standard faucet which I had purchased at Home Depot 7 years back. He advised me to try to correct the faucet that I needed to find my instruction manual and also get him a component number. He said he didn't have any clue what brand the faucet could not do anything with no part number and was. Every other plumber I have hired understands what part to use and carries parts that are standard inside their vehicle - that he does not have to look anything up. After looking through my file cabinets with no fortune, I discovered the name of the manufacturer and looked at the base of the sink. It was easy. In addition they seem way - to swap 2 bathroom faucets they want for labour . Seems way too large. The plumber maintained pushing I purchase the faucets from them for another $800. So they wanted $1500 put in and to purchase 2 faucets!
By 9:00 on Monday morning, I phoned to say I could not remain beyond 9:30 am at the home, so we rescheduled for Monday afternoon.
On Monday, April 23rd, I called a line that was blocked to clear . They sent someone out the same day who ran a snake and obtained the water .
Three days after (Thursday) after running the water for more than a minute, the sink backed up again so I phoned again and requested a return trip under warrantee. The trip was scheduled for Friday morning. I received a call that morning. Late that day, I got a call rescheduling to"First trip on Monday".
On Tuesday, Juaquin S. Arrived and snaked the drain out three times. He wanted to understand why the blockage had re-occurred, therefore that he found there was a sag from the pipe causing debris and water to accumulate and crawled through the subfloor area. He strapped up the pipe to relieve the sag.
I'd provide a poor rating after appointments and all of the delays to this job, but I have to state the firm stayed in touch as well as offered to reimburse the price due to the flaws. In addition, Juaquin went above and beyond to make sure the problem would not reoccur. I'm committing a 4 rating for a job.
Total rip-off! We called them to fix clogged sewer pipe. First indication should have been that Wayne who showed up had a sales pitch right away for things to repair. He said that they operate on commission. We had a main sewer line, although again that these should have been apparent indicators. They quoted us 3x what 2 other plumbing companies have quoted for sewer line replacement. Additionally, he sold us on cleaning our tankless water heater! Following $2200+. We have other pipes company and they stated it was a whole rip-off. Hoping this prevents other people from going thru what we did. I contemplating reporting them to bbb.
In summary our sewage line was damaged by tree roots. Underneath our driveway. Old clay pipe. So it is not such a great scenario coming to this but the estimate match what people are saying online ($4k) and the reviews were adequate so I decided we ought to proceed with this.
Then Friday came, and went. I called the manager back, he offered a $300 charge as part of the"If there's any delay, it is you we pay" policy, also said he could get somebody here on Monday. I told them I'd rather have somebody else do it. However the hole is going to be filled afterwards although he discovered ought to be able to finish the fix. Ok fine.
The individuals involved I believe really have tried their very best so it pains me to leave a 2 star review, to help us.
We do a lot of laundry at our house so it's an inconvenience but we could get by for a few days without it, and we worked out a method to not have more than one individual taking a shower simultaneously, not drain the sink while flushing a toilet, etc.. Overkill but we had no notion how blocked it's, and did not want raw sewage backing up into the tub back.
On Saturday, he was overdue but did dig down to the pipe, about 4 feet down. At which point he said he did not have parts and did not anticipate a clay pipe. However he'd return on Monday to finish the fix, he'd send the camera to the pipe.
On their website they say they appreciate their clients' time over all else. Yeah right. I respected them much more when I predicted on a previous job and they said because they had too many other clients to serve, I couldn't be serviced by them. I admire that, you would not want a company that they can not deliver. This time, that is what they did.
I took a flashlight tonight to start looking in the hole... I do see a new pipe, therefore... is that it? Are we great?
I called to confirm the time with shipment, morning my wife called overly on Thursday and they affirmed they'd arrive between 10 and 2. I called to discover why no one showed up late Thursday. I called the manager, he said he could get us cared for on Friday, fresh cement would have to wait until the following week.
So Monday came, and I couldn't get a reply about if I could now use my plumbing from BF Plumbing. Their computers were down, couldn't look my work order up, they promised to call me back but 5 hours later I hadn't heard from them. The box was full, so I couldn't leave a message, although I called the manager, it did not even ring went to voicemail.
Up to this pipe cleared out as he could, but said with it enhanced, we ought to avoid loads. They have they can come out in just two days. On Thursday. Probably completed by Friday.
We known as our garbage disposal thatn't worked to be checked by Benjamin Franklin pipes. They said that he had one in his automobile, and it needed to be replaced. That seems excessive. The 300% markup did not include. I understand plumbers are not cheap, $500 an hour again seems excessive and this wasn't an emergency, weekend or even evening telephone. We had two other small jobs if he can take care of, we inquired. We ought to have asked how much. The number to call for billing problems on their email has been disconnected. I wouldn't recommend them because I believe their prices are entirely out of line. Please beware of them.
Even when my 83 year old friend talked to other people friends of seeing needing a new shut off valve (since she did not know where it was), they even looked directly behind the fridge because that is where they're currently putting any new shut off valves which aren't rigged - harshly connected/placed.
Update 7/4/18We are currently talking about a little copper clip - not an actual shut-off valve as if you were shutting the water off underneath the sink or into the house.
So when the Home Depot arrived to put in the fridge they couldn't install since the shut off valve was not right behind the fridge (it had been in the garage). Their requirements for installation is for the shut off valve be in which the fridge resides in the place. My house was built in 1994 where the fridge resides, along with the shut off valve is. As they're supposed to know those things, as stated earlier we hire specialists. Keith can't be believed by me or anyone in your company has not installed a fridge. Home Depot does an amount of business. It is a pity that Keith did not know this. An 83 year old girl shouldn't have to know this - why hire a specialist!
7/3/18: it's quite disappointing and disconcerting to me that your company expects an 83 year old woman to advise that a plumber in which a valve should go on a brand new fridge install, to advise. A person who's not a specialist appears to the plumber for advise and knowledge since they have supposed to have the skill set to know the plumbing requirements that are more recent and hires.
As each decade passes, there are always new codes for plumbing lines (especially on older houses ) when installing new appliances). A plumber ought to be able to detect when a valve should no longer be in the place it resides in older houses because of these new codes. Keith set up a shut off valve in the garage in which the old shut off valve was (in the garage) rather than in the kitchen in which the new fridge was to reside.
Daniel Gagne/John Mulford you need to be ashamed of yourselves. I know I would never hire you. It is a shame your employees expect an 83 year old girl (that is not a plumber) to guide and advise a supposed expert at which to run his lines/valves.
I am also disappointed/disconcerted when I tried to speak to Claudia (the call center rep), she had the audacity to state that is not where the customer asked for the plumber to put off the closed valve. I reminded Claudia (as I mentioned previously ), we hire specialists as they're supposed to know their field and the ever changing codes/expectations. That is why they have a license. We would do to the job, if everyone knew about plumbing, then! It is so amusing that they were prepared to send out someone today to fix the problem until Claudia made this announcement and got involved.
Do not bother calling these people on a vacation weekend. Apparently they have better things to do. Very disappointed in their customer support (or rather, the absence of it). Won't be wasting my time with them . Regrettably, I have to give them a celebrity so I can post this review. They don't deserve any stars.
Pedro Diaz, Luis R. and Daniel G. were very knowledgeable with the installation of my Puronis water treatment strategy.
