I came into Brass Key Locksmith expecting to pay a high price tag for a copy of my Toyota Camry car key.
In my experience, a couple of years back, I called them to re-key front, side and inner garage doors so that one key would function for three doors. The locksmith who came out made it seem like it was a job that was difficult because the front door needed another new lock. (But is not that your job to produce locks operate?) He did the task, but the front door lock was always a little tricky and you needed to jiggle the just-so that is essential to start it.
The locksmith of this job stated the man who did the job was not with the company anymore. He drilled a larger hole in the strike plate and required out the entire lock mechanism and rebuilt it. So the lock's region worked then. Awesome. On the other hand, the latch did not catch to the attack plate anymore, rendering the manage lock useless (which we think had something to do with the larger hole at the strike plate). Deal with them anymore and I didn't wish to telephone Brass Key, so my husband wound up replacing the strike plate and now everything works great. So Brass Key has 3 stars not to be great but at least the guards operate.
Brass Key was. The positive is that they will come out to a location in a way that is timely and are responsive.
Called professional and first phone customer services. Showed up with a key fob I purchased online. They programmed it charged $65 in approximately 15 min. Highly recommend!
Accommodating, went to the Brass Key to get my car ignition rekeyed to match the other locks in the auto. Since they'd my ignition, couldn't go anywhere (no way to start the car). While they rekeyed it I was advised to just hang there for a couple hours. Told the supervisor which didn't work for me. Manager understood and could have someone work on it straight away. Approximately while purchasing at Nob Hill, they called and said it was ready for pickup. Very accommodating. Thanks Brass Key.
Called, and C. Craig replied straight away. I know nothing about locks/keys, and he had been really friendly and helpful with everything! Luckily, my situation wasn't an emergency, but either way he had been able to assist me within a day! Super service, I would advise it all of the way!

Super friendly and helpful. I had questions about a lock which gave me trouble and walked in to find some keys made. The guy gave a hint of a spray rather than them coming out to see and voila. . .fixed for less than $5.

Wonderful service! I went to replace my key fob. They had me out of there under $20. $185 was wanted by GMC. Think first!!!

The folks working for Brass Key Locksmith certainly love their work. I was seeking a location that would provide me the best price on duplicating keys (reusing transponders), as it had been quoted so much t other paces. Amazing support! I had to make copies of my RV and great copies were made by this individual. He was really professional and friendly. They had been perfect match As soon as I attempted the copies on my RV. Sooo smooth! When I visited Wednesday at 4 pm no wonder this store was packed!
I had an excellent experience with this company. I wandered and they could send a tech out that. Rekeyed our doorways, and even fixed our entrance door that required a shoulder lean in to lock before. I found the stuff all very friendly and helpful, and we go back into Brass Key Locksmith for any requirements in the future!
We had a great time with Brass Key Locksmith. They supplied us a 2 hour window to come by and showed up on the previous side that was super helpful! They provided a business card and introduced themselves. Chris was genuine and prior to making changes he'd advise us exactly what he had been doing. In addition, he showed us. We needed a commercial lock to be reset by him and that he said it would cost $100 reset and to start up. He ended up performing it quicker so that he waived the fee that was very wonderful and unexpected! We would highly recommend using them! Chris had a great deal of understanding on locks and not just keys, but with construction and was great! He replaced/reset the amount and 2 locks was under $200 that isn't bad in my opinion! We appreciated his kind punctuality, attitude and perform!

I started thinking choices to fix it, After one afternoon the deadbolt on our front door decided not to open. Last time I tried to switch out a door handle it was a bit more of a task, although I'm somewhat of a do-it-yourself sort of gal I thought it would be. So, I eventually decided to call Brass Key hoping to leave a message. I was surprised to hear a voice! It turned out to be Craig, the supervisor there. He said they could either repair it or replace it , but I explained that I was wanting to switch the handle out and lock since I needed them to match. So, he said I could either go out and get a Kwikset or Schlage handle and deadbolt myself, or, they might provide it. I informed him so I would likely get them in 16, I needed a particular color. He stated he'd be there around 9am or 10am the next morning, but would phone, and gave me a quote of $127 without the hardware. When he said he showed up shortly afterwards, and would, then, lo and behold, he actually called on Saturday morning. (This alone is practically a miracle in the Santa Cruz region!) He introduced me with his card when he arrived, got to work immediately, was friendly, did a great job, and made some keys for us at no cost, just charging me what he initially uttered. I'd give this company 10 stars if I could!!
Had my 1969 Chevy Nova ignition lock replaced and a new steering wheel installed, his staff and Craig did a fantastic job. They spent three hours making sure everything was to my satisfaction at a price. I strongly recommend them .
