My problem is handled by gary with accuracy and speed, the safes returned and fixed with in 24 hours are needed by us and Gary had it finished.

Colleen came out now to re-key my entrance gate, my front door and a few inside locks.She clarified her pricing policy on the phone when I made the appointmentrestated her coverage when she arrived and did all of the work quickly, economically and with a superb attitude & character. And of course I paid exactly what I was offered by her, even though the range of work changed marginally.
It is always great when you honestly supply a reference for somebody and their company... I will recommend Capistrano Lock & Colleen to my neighbors and friends. This is.

We had Capistrano Lock & Safe re-key many doors. After they left we found that a door between garage & laundry room would not latch. Never had that problem until they came seemed obvious it was correlated with work they did. They said it wasn't their problem and couldn't be a consequence of their re-keying the door, After we called to get them return to fix it. A pity then. (?) We wouldn't recommend them according to their client services.

They should step up their client services. That guy had a mindset when I came in now. Not only is that the issue I've encountered, but first time I came here throughout their ridiculous 10am-2pm business hours, but they were"closed" and supposedly needed to run to a customer, but I guess being a mom & pop store I understand the incompetence and unprofessionalism:(

I assured myself that I would not place a review until I had enough time calm down and to sleep . I was so frustrated for 6 weeks, I ended up walking out before blowing off my stack.
I had been in several times to speak with Gary, and if he would not return my call-S,S,S,S,S,S,S,S,(8 occasions ) I started visiting the store. I rarely found someone . They may as well just say that they MIGHT return your call if they feel like it and are there OCCASIONALLY. Because they aren't interested, Cellular phone or land line at the store,,, it isn't important.
I even spoke face to face with a woman at the shop a couple of times. She'd call Gary (the proprietor ) and relay info (not always correctly ). When I'd call he would not pick up.

PLUS-- when I eventually gave them up I phoned South Coast Lock & Safe and they were $100.00 more affordable.
The process of attempting to find these men to call me back was my biggest gripe.
We FINALLY got to a stage where he was prepared to purchase a part, but she wanted $150 WTF!!! These people would not give me the exact time of day for 6 weeks and they anticipated to give them money for work that had not been performed. Yikes! That was NOT going to happen. The one thing that they had demonstrated was that they did not want my business.
To start with the shop is open from 10:00 until 2:00.
I needed some work done and I wanted to give my business to a local"Mom & Pop". (I still did, not these men )

Coleen is your very best, helping me with locks for every door in the home and with a lot of detail. They're very reasonable, too!

That 1 star review on 9/3/14 was because she did not like the hours. . .which are the result of the fact they're out in the field doing tasks. If you need and appreciate work, this locksmith company that is family-owned is beyond perfect. The tool kit on wheels they have weighs about 70 pounds and it includes every sort of drill and tool needed for work. Our job was done by Colleen who was so nice to have about, and has several years of experience. We were more than happy with the cost and it is such a pleasure to see the pride she's of her job. Our house has the most stunning black levers and deadbolts which have made it unnecessary to put money into new doors. . .what a excellent thing it is to eliminate those from date brass builder knobs. They also have a range of safes.
