Fantastic. . I have found these to be able and ethical and honest to quickly and diagnose any issue from appliances to plumbing to electrical. Call out fee is $89 and I have never had to have them return a second time on a problem or order parts. Office staff is easy and fine to work with. They offer four hour windows and will work around your schedule as required.
Your Motorist while traffic in standstill would NOTWhen people"do the Ideal thing" when nobody is watching it's a test of ethics
The integrity of a company's people especially service related reflect on business overall
I do Not Anticipate hiring nor recommending your firm in future
Let me out ? And appeared irate while he appeared on red light for me pulling
The work was done but the billing is really a scam! When I made the appointment I inquired about the estimated cost. I was told they charge a excursion charge plus labour and parts. I inquired for the rate. I was told they don't bill that manner, they charge dependent at work. Given that, I was not given an estimate in the time of making the appointment. The rate is $160, as it turns out. Why I was not advised that when I inquired, I don't understand. We had a dispute regarding the amount time billed and spent on the work quoted, but we dropped that argument.
The quantity of time that it takes to do the job is made. . (Plus the excursion cost.)
My BlueStar gas wall mount stop working. I called about for gas oven pros. BlueStar is a high end product and most honest blower men will not touch them. Carter has a man"Jerry" (see his photograph ) who has taken the require courses on BlueStar. He is a no nonsense technology and will tell you ASAP all problems after a quick exam. He worked good in moments and substitute the BlueStar ignition that is expensive.
So happy with Carter Services! My Viking fridge was creating . I called Carter Services, among Viking's recommendations, also managed to acquire a next-day service appointment. The tech called for the next day with the support window. He called again when he had been on his way. Once on site, he quickly diagnosed the issues and made the repairs, keeping me answering my questions. 5 stars. Highly recommended!
In all three events I have called Carter 3 times in Miele Stovetop regards to 3 distinct appliances Bosch Dishwasher and LG dryer over the last ten years they were able to support and solve my machines at a timely manner. Plus, I have been impressed by their level of professionalism and practicality. I'm grateful to know they're available. Thank you, Carter!
Was impolite. The issue was improperly diagnosed by him . I asked a tech and have been waiting a week. The tech is currently providing a new quote to the fix that is new. I'm over it. Also, two minutes later coming to my home the next tech needed to use my restroom. These people will never be used by me !!!!!
Beware - the service is as bad as folks say. The individual is professional and perfectly fine.
Tech support is terrible. Apparently call-out fees do not include any diagnostics or taking anything apart on your own appliance. That he believed was broken after he misdiagnosed the problem it took me an hour to convince him to actually TEST the role on my dryer. He said that he was 100% sure, so it'd be tested by him. Since that part was broken, it would have resulted in a part and a different fee to cover needlessly. Eventually when he got to the part I understood was that the problem, the quotation for replacing it was crazy - . While I was signing the paperwork (After the fact - not quite kosher), he was saying that he should have billed me for labour. Never again.
The tech comes and this is the 3rd time we call for appliances problems that are different, requires a look, says it might cost more than buy a new one, to fix and costs $89. This Co mm pant was excellent concerning solving problems and fixing appliances but lately I feel they're going a different course...
No call no show + Bad customer Support + incompetent technicians = Don't use Carter ServicesExcuse 2: The part that you needed was on the tech's truck Service Manager couldn't send someone else out to my house. Mobile inventory, likely time to re-work your operations.
Do yourself a favor and discover another company to repair your appliances, there are many other companies out there.
Conclusion: I was happy, but I had been understanding even though my wife had to eliminate work to stay home.
NO ONE EVER CAME. Then I'd hate to see what the regular course of operations are for this particular company if having your technician become a no call no show is bending over backward. Oh yeah, I understand the regular course of operations, they won't be able to fix anything (refer to the first three service calls previously ). Bending over backward Not being able to fix my problem + no call no show + rude customer service
Conclusion: I had been agitated. I figured because I had been confident that the tech knew what he needed to resolve the hood that I would give them one more opportunity.
Excuse 1: The tech's wife was sick so he couldn't work. My spouse gets sick but I have to go to work.
Excuse 4: Service Manager couldn't call me because Carter Services just got. How stupid do you believe I am?
Here is the kicker. Since he spends so much time the Service Manager started to get angry at me, even though he is apparently a good Christian. He started to raise his voice and state he had"bent over backward" to find a tech to come into my home at 7 am, which is out of working hours. For this remark, I couldn't help but laugh. Service Manager couldn't stop talking (and talking over me) to comprehend the absurdity of this remark. NO ONE EVER CAME TO MY HOUSE!
Excuse 3: Service Manager couldn't call me beforehand to let me understand the tech couldn't make it. Service manager found out about the tech's spouse on Sunday (afternoon before my service call). How long was Service Manager in church? 26 hours? Why didn't he call me to let me know they had to cancel if Service Manager knew? (Get ready for this one).
Third Service Telephone: After the tech screwed up the work sequence, I had been told he would come out again to resolve the hood because he now had the part. The tech came out to my home and not only did the hood is not fixed by him, it is now worse! My wife had to take work off . The tech told me he had the wrong part and he would be back to fix the hood. I now had to close the breaker off because of how bad this was screwed by the tech up renderring my vent hood inoperable.
The tech came to diagnose the problem, which he did. Shortly after, I had been told that the problem might be fixed as well as the tech would perform the work (I also needed my stove mended ).
HAHAHAHAA! Something I just watched their hours of operations are 7 am to 5 pm everyday except for Sunday. I had been completely lied! They do work at 7 am, priceless.
Second Service Telephone: Prior to the techniciaion coming from my home to repair my stove and vent hood, I called Carter Services to make sure my hood and stove would be repaired. The secretary assured me that the order for the two items had been received and the tech would fix the hood and the stove. After the technician came, I called him and he told me that because he didn't possess the work order to resolve the hood, he was only going to fix the stove. Wtf?!
Service Telephone: I was able to schedule the tech to come out to repair my hood. I stayed home from work so that I might be at home when the technician came and I had my mom in law take my son to school. 7:10 am came and went, no tech. 7:40 7:30 and 7:50 arrived and went and NO TECHNICIAN. I called Carter Services but they did not open until 8 am so that I decided to go to work. I got a hold of someone and finally at 8:10'm the office started and this is where the shenanigans started.
I talked with Service Manager and he had been interested in giving excuses as to why Carter screwed up instead of apologizing and trying to develop a solution.
Conclusion: I had been happy, I was going to have this problem.
Alan out of Carter Services was quite prompt and knowledgeable. The garbage disposal made a sound that is thumping in the end of its cycle and was on its last leg and he managed to install one with a engine and it was very silent. A cheap one which lasted a year was installed by the plumber. Alan recommended this one and I am rather satisfied with it even though it was pricey. Alan did a great job and was quick, effective, and friendly. He deserves a raise!
Had one of their men come out to determine what was wrong with my oven. No diagnostic gear, but the man thought it was that the timer. Quoted me $400.00 for a new one. I checked online and saw that the part is $97.00, so I figured I could plug 4 cables and save $300. The timer was not the matter. These men are a waste of time.
Our home heating collapsed. We were disappointed when they failed to arrive on time several days in a row and appeared interested and unprepared in the task and called another business first, so we called Carter. Give an estimate and they came out to appraise the issue. They had been out the next working day, exactly as promised, and had the task done by late day. When one of their rivals failed carter came to the rescue. We will not hesitate to call them . I only wish we'd called them . Special shout out to George and his team!
For any Sub Zero work, do not hesitate to utilize Carter Services. Don't allow the reviews necessarily dissuade you. A trip charge charges if you drove around all day performing absolutely free estimates, and you'd go. For a job such as a Sub, it is logical to cover at least two repair estimates. If I did not have the 1st estimate, I would have thought the Carter estimate was jacked up and had significant remorse. So I'm grateful and love that I was saved by them .
Carter was called us 1 business day after the estimate and fast to order the elements the following day. Having a refrigerator, you can't wait for long, so I appreciate their responsiveness.
Sergio was prepared to go and came Carter set up and had all the parts. The job was fast, given the cost. It's not a very low cost restoration.
Overall, a great experience with they and Carter were less cash compared to a 5 Yelp fix company. With Carter having a trip charge and an 3 celebrity Yelp average, I was quite apprehensive to utilize them. But since they have Sergio who is their Sub Zero expert, I guessed it would be OK. Hopefully fix and the part will continue and we don't need to lose a fortune.
Later, Sergio explained what he did and followed up by sending photographs. He walked through maintaining the compressor.
Very polite and pleasant, and wished to replace the damper that is top. Charges could have been around $800. When I contested the fees, they took the second service call fee which would have been almost $700 in charges off. They could not satisfactorily justify the cost, so that I declined. Another repairman came correctly found the damper was only stuck, not broken. He showed me the way to reset it, gave a 20% reduction on the part and a warranty to me if it will end up needing to be replaced. Total price $108.
Buyer beware! Our fridge is working great.
Stay away - service and non professional.
Mother in law called to check out air conditioning & tech and turned a switch. Tech did not bring any tools or equipment and did not check or fix anything.
She tried to have a refund, however, was refused. Heard great things about P&M Mechanical and they're our"go to" from here on out.
Nothing ripping clients that are older off - makes me furious!
The lines were suspended and the coils needed to be washed. I did itfired it and all is great.
Eddie T. in Carter Services is awesome. Eddie has set in fresh panels for us, re-wired outlets in rather difficult spaces, included a whole house surge protector (that works and stored most of our appliances as a result of frequent power outages in PV), and was a super star in shifting a ceiling fan to get a child's room -- anticipating exactly where it requires to be placed for security purposes. He is educated and super nice -- such as giving me useful observations on the way!! Eddie is our go-to-guy for these projects that are electrical -- THANKS SO MUCH!
I've used Carter Services many times over 17 years, and are pleased with the professionalism and service of their technicians. However I will shop around a bit before phoning them, thanks to an $89 trip charge applied to all appointments. Even if customers agree to proceed with a repair, none of this gets applied to the labour, which made me feel last time.
I called today to have my Fridge repaired(today is Weds)Forget about an response time.
I was told someone would come next Mon&would call me the night before or early that morning to let me know when they'd show.
I could receive a certain appt&I don't have the time to sit while the fridge's collapse persists.
Do not use carter services for HVAC. They have. Unbelievably high prices too.
