These men live really near me. Decided to give them a call before I attempted anybody else. Guy answers, says he's not by the scheduling book, however he can call me back the next day (I called at 10 AM, he could not locate the book and then call me back the same day? Or request me to call back later?) Next day - no call. Day after that. I called back - got exactly the answer. These men don't want business.
The owner of this company was a no show. Sean, set up an appointment, gave me a 2 hour window. I waited and he didn't show. He would not come to the telephone either.
I've not ever used City Lock for services. Because he needed to stop to get a bus one of there motorists chose to begin swearing stop. I reached out to be informed a list of explanations as to why this was okay or it did not occur. I would not want to use a company who justifies a worker's character
Wow, my Critique was taken off to the following reason:Kid:"Sometimes the grooves on your main are worn out".
Me:"Are you trying to tell me that if It Doesn't work it will still cost me $50"
I guess that's because after my first review I connected with a different review of another provider who offered great service. Well here (below) is my ORIGINAL review sans"promotional material", happy to find it bothered the jerks in City Lock so they campaigned for it removed (lot of losers).
*Second Try: Monday, I come back, man is out again. The old man (owner) Seems mad he's not there, says he's going to"fire him" because he's never there.
"Our Support team has determined that it drops out our Content Guidelines (http://www.yelp.com/guidelines) because of its promotional content."
Voice of a-hole probably Trump voter from the back:"Do not do it!"
Kid:"Sometimes It Doesn't work"
====Original Review====================
First Try: They man who does it is out now, Monday come back
So I had a key cut for my 2004 lexus RX (just the key not the remote):
Fourth Try: I go in, everybody is there, they take MY BLANK and key that is functioning. Kid turns to me and this is what follows:
As the service was I thought it would be inhumane for the boss. None of them were light it up on the SATs back in firing any of them will probably be a sentence to poverty and HS.
Kid:"Its $50"
Third Try: '' I predict, man is there, I go in with my key, wait since he's working in the back on a lock.
I walk out.
Me:"My main functions just fine, its my blank, are you telling me if you screw up my key it will still cost me $50?"
Me:"That is my fourth time trying to do this with you men, do not ever whine about Amazon, they're reputable".
This place is very unprofessional. I was told by A man that he could cut on a car key with no difficulty once the fob arrived in they I would be called by us no Phone! I called for several days and eventually after a week man named joe(bogus name?) Joe tried to place my secret I needed to help him, he was shaking like a leaf and was so unorganized didn't know what the Hell he do! Along with his words! Like he do me a favor.
The very first man that told me they could do the job worked , he stopped according to joe, so I was stuck with joe. Joe's voiced he simply came from retirement, he was obviously frustrated that he needed to actually do some work, essentially bad mouthing the organization, owner, co workers, etc.. He was super an unprofessional! I left with my key not working (obviously I didn't cover ) and at worst shape than when I got there. He could not help me and began saying that he didn't care about my key anybody and began crying. ! A old man that is nasty! Should go back in retirement fast. City Lock should shut down if they can't supply the service!
He is affiliated in some issue with this scam of a company and his review shouldn't be given any credit.
Unless you would like to be the man leaving a poor inspection, I advise you to go elsewhere.
I want to Home Depot in Norwood and saved.
It now seems they would like to harass anybody that provides an overview of how they run themselves, it is not my fault someone had been impolite.
Since my previous review, I had been contacted by"Mike M", the ONLY person who gave this ditch a fantastic rating. He insulted me for leaving a bad review, I believe him to be same Mike who"Terry M" talked of on 9/2/15 beneath"reviews not recommended".
I have never had a bad encounter and have been utilizing City Lock for 20 years. I was pretty surprised to see a few of the negative reviews here. I have been and had them lots of times. Never, ever a problem. In addition, if a company is closing on a Friday afternoon and you also show up as they're locking the door, you might not expect them to remain longer for you? I certainly wouldn't expect it, although It'd be nice, sure. Locksmiths have lives, too :)
We needed the two deadbolts shifted on our new house, and City Locks came out within 90 minutes on a weeknight. The guy was nice and useful and the cost was $50 less than another locksmith even to get a non-emergency appointment'd quoted us. Great.
Ha Absolutely customer service! Called in and started to explain what I had and after 45 seconds the guy on the phone cuts off me and says,"Do you have a specific question for me?" What a winner! "Nope, no question in any way! ." I will take my project that is 500 .
On the reverse side, their fix has held up nicely
Dreadful customer services.
Great luck with these guys.
A. caused an older lock for fix; they scold me for how I brought from the part.
B. race to get there, With a 18 month in my arms, running down the road to arrive two minutes before they shut for a replacement component. "yeah, we are closed... as they proceed to start drinking with their friends on the road"
I don't get the reviews? I called made an appointment for the following day. I received a call a half an hour before they arrived (nice surprise). Prior to beginning the man was friendly and polite went over my request and confirmed cost. Job was well completed and saved me money! I showed him a lock on Desired knobs, the door and something else, 30 bucks, fixed! We were quoted several hundred to replace with a different company! My neighbors will be pleased!
I have used CIty Lock for many years - on leasing units and places. Trustworthy, on time, and always do an excellent job. You can't expect a locksmith and that I don't expect that. I expect a quality job, and that I hope to cover it, and that's why I keep coming back to City Lock. Every problem I have experienced they utilize quality solutions and they have been able to tackle. I have it, As soon as they take care of a issue, and it doesn't come back. Seems that when I attempt to utilize a Home Depot or Lowe's merchandise, 2 decades later, I want City Lock drill and to run me into the unit - since the stuff fails. Worth every penny. I urge them.
If you need a locksmith do not go here. They tell me once they come out and perform the work there's a fee and that I should of asked and rather than them telling me about the fee emerge in the first location? And I ask and he tell me when he's done he will know. I then get hit with a bill that's significantly greater than I feel it should happen to be. I proceeded to telephone the number to go over and tell me then move to hang up on me and no one does estimate, and they continue to state it was my fault for not asking if a service fee is? Shady business practices and customer support and experience as a client of their enterprise for me.
Went here last year to attempt and receive a box unlocked-a box that was in my loft. Anyway, though the guy had to undergo 2-3 rings of keys to unlock it, he finally did and at an excellent price. I just take a star off for the guys. For some reason, being a locksmith gets for you.

Did not appear on appointment in any way. When I called, the excuse given:"we don't have a truck". No telephone support to warn the customers.
