Today I moved. You're Angel! And no compounds I can not start to pronounce. Totally coolz. If my plumber is not available for that, a Yelp inspection and that I will def call Connors.
I've seen Connors Plumbing trucks all around the neighborhood and when I dwelt in Mt. Washington. Iam loyal to my people and've had a plumber. However, man, Angel showed up to do a little bit of furnace cleanup and he noticed that I was running to trash bin to eliminate food before ants get in the kitchen, while he could not work. He suggested that I go to the 99 cents store and get oil spray and cleaner in which the ants are coming in.
Suggestion: I read a few of the testimonials about costs, I upgrade mine if I think their prices are fair and'll determine that. Just to compare, I hired my plumber to get a rental at La Jolla, CA for toilet line replacement and it was $225. Function is guaranteed, and have understood the company for a little although it is not cheap. Appears like Connors has been around for a while. It is worth the time and headache for me to pay more for service that is good and guaranteed work than employ a cheap provider and you get work. Or worse, they still have to come back multiple times to fix precisely the thing. Finally, always get a quote from 2-3 technicians until you approve a plumbing project. It is worth it. Trust.
Short Overview:Anyway, they soon found that among those sink boxes was lost components, therefore it couldn't be set up. I asked them if they would please complete up the sink while I hurried back to Home Depot to find a replacement and to my shock, they still waited! Return and took me 35 minutes to go, they set up the sink, and voila! They'd completed the task by noon - if they originally said it would start. I was happy about that, and I was even more appreciative they waited. I am sure they had more calls.
4 stars for its excellent company, a minus 1 star for Arturo walking into my house unannounced. This 1 act might make about calling them 11, think twice.
Well, not only did they live up to his word, but Jesus called me and asked if he would come early. What? A plumber who has good customer support and follow through? I had been shocked, and thankfully said! Jesus did a great job, but had been there some time installing the sinks. Later on, Arturo came back to help him in obtaining the work done quicker. It had been great to see that the teamwork but I didn't understand Arturo came to help, and he walked right in my house without knocking or ringing the doorbell. Completely unprofessional! I was a little miffed actually.
Answer times that are short, so if you are in a pickle, they will find the work done and do it correctly. There's a service telephone if they perform the work added to your invoice.
Extended Review:
Now, I NEVER advise doing so, but I found these men by visiting their company van. I took a pic, then called to ask a few questions. I phoned Angel and had been satisfied with his response he'd attempt to get over a man to my house first thing in the morning- schedules pending. And guess what, true to his word was there by. 2 men - Arturo & Jesus - came to correct both non-working bathroom sinks, but couldn't because"they had to be wholly replaced". Jesus did actually show me he had been trying to fix the issue on a single sink but couldn't due to heavy gunk develop around the pipes. Now, I guess I could have asked him to just remove the gunk, but the other sink pipe had broken, so I bit the bullet and I would purchase 2 replacement faucets at Home Depot, if they'd return and put in them the next morning. They said they'd return the next day at noon.
Like most of us, I've had my rounds. Most times, I find that the company policies to be fine, however, the individual technicians that come out are all hit or miss. I'd been using the exact same small/local small business plumber for 10 years and they had done just to my satisfaction. In recent years, they began sending new men who'd come in and inform me whole fixtures needed to be replaced when I knew/suspected they didn't (e.g. the trimming of my kitchen sink sprayer hose instead of being told to totally replace it). Then, they might charge me another service charge for this, would have to return and fix their own mistakes, and began doing sloppy work. . . .time to start looking for a plumber. I want to encourage businesses that are small, and that's where Connor's came in.
Called to get an issie and Arturo came out and was great. Very helpful and went above and beyond to help diagnose
Angel Torres was a guy that is good. Came over, worked hard in the heat, and did everything they came out to perform for the price they quoted. Only reason it wasn't 5 stars is that I had to telephone the office a few days to validate the job, and the way that they answered the phone sounded as though I had a wrong number. But all in all, I would use them and liked Angel's work.
I have been utilizing Connors for several years now, Arturo is professional and polite, has appointments fast and does great work. Ive had plumbing jobs for them, a wall socket install, and work was needed by a few faucets . And always did the job great, in great time and in way that is professional.
So here is the real scoop: their rates are higher than others, their customer support is poor, and he will shout and throw a temper tantrum if you disagree with the proprietor like a little woman.
You may want to call a plumber that is different unless you enjoy paying for crappy customer support.
These people are insane and so unprofessional that I can not imagine that most of the reviews that are positive are real.
Their testimonials on CitySearch are fake unless of course each the very same people who get pipes done in Eagle Rock also buy flowers and give 5 stars to the very same areas in different cities too.
Angel has always been there when I call for assistance with a pipe they're moderately priced and fast or a stopped up sink. Connors Plumbing is highly recommended by me.
Moved to our new shop and a couple of days afterwards had a pipe break and flooded our shop. Arturo was very professional and took care of this problem he helped clean the gear which got wet up.
Today is the next time I have used this business... I am quite delighted with their professionalism and service... I called and they've been at my house quite fast for a broke water pipe... and the prices they charged were quite reasonable.... I've used several distinct Plumbers in the"field" as I enjoy sticking and giving company to locals.... But Connors by far has been the best.... Thank you. .
We have had consistently solid and friendly service from Connors for years. They are not the cheapest, but they do the work right and will work with you to fix it. I'm surprised to read a few of the negative reviews here. I can't talk to anybody else's experience, but wanted to chime in and say we have great things to say about Angel, Jim, and Connors Plumbing. Highly recommended.
His employees are unprofessional although jim seems like a nice man and a plumber. I advised him to charge the remainder to the renters and paid a part of his bill. Angel showed up at 7:30 am AT THEIR HOUSE to collect their invoice.
Bad customer support! This is why little plumbers are fighting against large companies. Big companies am freaking out your renters. And they do not hang up on people.
Terribly unprofessional!
He's never heard of mailing a invoice. I could understand if he'd tried to collect it a few times but that was his first effort at collecting the bill. He couldn't begin to understand why when I phoned him to tell him that it was inappropriate to appear at someone's house at to collect a bill. His work day begins at 7 am he said. And he hung up on me.
I don't know whether it is Jim Kimball's or Angel judgment but I would stay away from any company that lacks such common sense and courtesy.
Truly there's no stars value giving for this business, allow me to tell you why (had to place 1 star only because Yelp wouldn't accept no celebrities ). Connors Plumbing ripped-off our elderly neighbor taking advantage of her.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, They're A RIP-OFF!
He did not offer to clean this up, and he LEFT WITHOUT FIXING EITHER OF OUR SINKS, with the reason that he was allowed out to get an hour-and-a-half at one time.
We spoke to explain the situation about the plumber and phoned Conners, but he began to really go ballistic, freak out, and * cursed * on the telephone before we can finish the story. Moreover, if we asked for the owner's number, we were awarded a number that was FALSE.
The bathtub and toilet pipes were okay, and there are fees for labor for the toilet on our elderly neighbor's bill.
Got the cell phone number of the proprietor, Jim, to explain the situation . He proceeded to cut off without HUNG UP as soon, also listening to the narrative as the pipes business was mentioned. Quite UNPROFESSIONAL, no sense of customer service at all!
The first incident was told her she had to repair her furnace at which in Home Depot you can buy a one for between $400-$600. The next was to fix a backed-up bathroom sink, for about $600, including replacing a"P" pipe which generally only costs about 5 bucks.
The next day we had another plumber who fixed it for about hundred bucks, in 20 MINUTES!
The sole reason was because our bathroom sink pipe is connected to our neighbor's bathroom sink pipe. Until Angel from Conners came along, ours was never backed up.
Great and prompt service. The men came to substitute galvanized pipping and they found mostly copper underneath and were totally truthful about the work that I did not need.... That's all you can request and so rarely occurs.
CONNORS left me hanging! Went in person to the shop and spoke to the proprietor who sent Angel later the exact same morning. He looked at the issue and stated," call me if the water goes down, then I can conduct a camera" Water never moved down so when I called back regarding plan B to schedule a dig of the most important line, he stated he'd call and allow me to know when he really could envision me in. I'm still waiting! Seems like they did not need the job but what takes the cake is how they had the courtesy to call me back to say for whatever reasonthey wouldn't be able to perform the job. Needless to say, my experience with Connors wasn't a good one. They were recommended to me by many people, but after this experience, I will look elsewhere for potential work.
Oh, $325 to change the nozzle! I got hosed fine. Angle had the nerve to tell me the part couldn't be found by him, and billed me he went looking for it. Jim, the proprietor, gave him a piece of a hose that seemed like 2 clamps and a gas pump hose at the day's end to do the job. Because the water did not drain from the dishwasher that did not work. He said that he knew a good dishwasher repairman when I called Angel to tell that the water wasn't draining from the dishwasher to him. This was Friday, he said he'd come and look at 3:30 Monday at it and never revealed.
Should I go on. I will proceed. WARNING, WARNING WILL RODGERS! DANGER!
There are too many plumbers out there, especially in Los Angeles. I wouldn't predict Conners - and I mean con guy kind of conners- . I I sh-t in France, until I predict Conners again I'll sh-t in my trousers.
The owner tried to say he wasn't responsible.
I will return to Mike Diamond in their costs it's still less than that which Conners ripped off me for.
Never again! Called Conners to change a dishwasher . What a nightmare. A week later the owner said he'd"eat it" and send another plumber to fix it.
Jim and got the job done on time, his crew are professional and were moderately priced. I had two wall heaters installed by them and they did the job even and quickly came back to fine tune the positioning of the heater after it was installed for no excess charge.
The cost is low, but after three years of putting up with Jim's gruff fashion and his guys' always having to make many trips to fix things, I have had it. The final straw is the fact that he moves the implications of his ignorance on the customer and does not know city codes. When faced with this, he explained:"I do not expect you to comprehend how the entire world of plumbers do the job." The simple truth is that he and his associates were too lazy or reluctant to call the inspector directly and find out what the code is beforehand. I asked:"Why not just check the code before doing work? I have the inspector's phone number right here and so apparently did you since you told me you talked about him after the actuality!" Really? They changed it in January, Jim, but two and a half months was not enough time for you to figure out how to use a phone to reach out and find the proper info. Do your self a favor and go everywhere.
This is a company to work with. I have used them several times, and they are always on time, professional, competitive, do work and are fair! Angel performed the most recent service and that he was very pleasant and tidy. I highly recommend Connors Plumbing and Heating.
I've utilized Connor's Plumbing as my wife and I purchased our house over ten decades ago. They are responsive (I have had success calling them first thing in the morning and receiving an early same-sex appointment) and they do great work. The prices are about what you would pay for any plumber; unquestionably not cut-rate. But, they are trusted and, as I said previously, they do great job.
I never miss a chance to brag about the job Connors has done for us. They get the job done and are very considerate warm. I never have to remind them (as I often have to with other repair folks ) that reside here and their occupation is to get my life back to normal.
This business has changed hands, of course, from the last owners, or these other reviews are just shills, since I set up an appointment with them on a Friday afternoon for an early Saturday visit - between 8 and 11, they told me, carrying my address and phone. I waited until 12 Sat. Can they get captured at a different job? Can they just change your own mind? I never got ahold of them, they never called me, that they never showed up. I could not feel that a company in this way would just never appear, so that I kept putting off calling someone else, and it's Sunday and my wife can't take a shower. Arrogant and disrespectful. Infuriating.
