Interesting expertise - those people were advocated with neighbors, so I'm sure they do an adequate job. However, I'm really curious - is it standard pricing to charge $1350 for setup + drilling a hole in walnut to install an under-the-counter filter?
This doesn't include the filtration system - I'd bought that separately.
While tech and the office team seemed knowledgeable and friendly, I was comparing those services which quote was so much greater, I felt like I was missing something. I had other vendors give me quotations from $500-$800, so I'm not sure why such a number was given by Monkey Wrench.

Today didnt show up to an appointment. Nothing, no telephone. My tenant took work off to fulfill him. That is completely unacceptable. They had been coming to repair something they allegedly repaired moment. Don't use them!!!

Either the testimonials here are fake or I've the Monkey Wrench. Just WOW. They man charged my elderly neighbor $2000 for a single pipe fix and then intentionally broke any plumbing (in front of her). Sweetest little woman.

I couldn't afford it Because I have a fixed income and also I was referred by the to their loan shark who gave me a loan for $7500 when I only needed a loan. Monkey wrench tacked on several parental fees for work that they did not do.

I had been there on the day they showed up.
I'm not thrilled by the way they performed that day. I will attempt to acquire info, till that happens, I do not think I'll be using the Monkey Wrench Plumbing again.
They plumber that the company sent to my dad's house was professional. What I believed should have obtained at most one hour, turned into most of the day. I started wondering whether this has been done intentionally or not. I phoned a few other pipes businesses was the one: it should not have taken that much time to finish the job.

Called Monkey Wrench for my kitchen sink that was slow emptying.
I am extremely impressed. Their fees are fair. And the way they treated me was superb. I would highly recommend.

I recommend Monkey Wrench Plumbing and specifically Josh. I have a 1927 home with pipes and Josh has been resourceful in addressing a variety of problems that have come up within the past few years. He does a great job and is responsive. Josh walks you through what he does thus there are no surprises. If you want your pipes job nicely I strongly recommend Josh and the staff in Monkey Wrench Plumbing.

These guys showed up same day and fixed the problem FOR FREE. Turned out it was a distant. Easy fix.
You'd be amazed how hard it's when you want one to get a plumber.

Leo did a great job installing a water heater and repairing some plumbing that did not work. He was very educated and I would recommend him to friends and family.

I have lived in Los Feliz and owned a house her for more than 20 years.... A plumber is necessary and hard to com by. Luckily we discovered Monkey Wench! So far each tech has been great and friendly.
Daniel our tech was great! He was very intelligent and clarified each scenario how it'd be repaired by him and clearly. He was superb detail oriented and asked questions to confirm my own satisfaction and my tastes.
When I need something I'll be calling again and I request him!

Recently needed to receive a water heater replaced. These guys are extremely fast and simple to get on the phone so I called them. Was given a quote for over $6000. The guy was really nice and assured me that I wouldn't receive a better price anywhere and that"funding is available". Call me old-fashioned, but whenever your plumber is hoping to get one to finance a fix. . .it begins to smell fishy to me. I eventually got the tankless heater installed for $2000. Therefore, if you enjoying paying have at it. Judging by a lot of the recent reviews on here, this is something of a pattern here.

Gave completely WRONG info on their range of work. I initially spoke with Adrienne and explained that I had leak detection and was advised that they do all kinds of escape detection and also have all necessary equipment.I scheduled for 3 months later ( was departing town over christmas break). On the day of the appointment Michael cancels and calls the appointment. I had also scheduled my plumber to the fix after detection at precisely the exact same time and had taken off work. Michael rescheduled me for today ( 1/8/19) and promised to send his very best escape detection expert who carries all the latest leak detection gear in his truck from the name of Leo. My plumber is scheduled by me for today who shows up on time however no Leo in sight. Monkey wrench is called by me and I'm advised that Leo will be there in 10 min. 30 Min afterwards still NO SIGN of Leo, therefore I predict the office. Adrienne informs me that he will be there soon, he needed to make a stop.
I also discovered that firms PAY yelp to take the bad reviews off, since there are few of these, which makes sense.
Worst experience !!!!!
5 min later another person ( NOT LEO) shows up and informs me that he's just a regular plumber also that Monkey Wrench DOES NOT DO LEAK DETECTION!!!! I'm furious,...I lost another day at work and needed my plumber come out for nothing.

They'll lie to get. They ruined my warranty on my own water heater and gave me an outrageous cost to"fix" it. I called 3 other plumbers and all confirmed they were pushing to earn more money and false statements were being advised to me. I called my appliance business and they affirmed their statements were not correct. I lost my money with them and because of their claim my warranty has been ruined by them. These other reviews are not duped very unhappy.

Our Rinnai tankless heater stopped working and could show an error message each time we ran hot water. We called a plumber who recommended that we ask a Rinnai technician to support the unit and inspected the unit. We discovered Monkey Wrench Plumbing on the Rinnai website and contacted them. The intake person asked questions to understand what the issue is and scheduled the exact same day Ezra to return to our home. Ezra came within the scheduled time period and was very kind to describe each and every step along the procedure. We were happy to understand that, while he is a licensed plumber, his main focus area would be tankless water heaters and that he is seasoned with our specific model. He performed a diagnostic examination scrutinizing the water lines, the gas line along with the Rinnai device. Then he supplied a detailed quote for the suggested service to us and upon completion the malfunction was fixed, and our home had water. We could not have been more happy with his support and will recommend him without reservation to any person who needs repair or service of a water heater. In addition, we intend on using this firm for any plumbing requirements.

I'm appalled at the lack of professionalism, skill and now attitude(!) These employees continue to display. NEVER AGAIN.
Our plumber has been correct the leaking water filter . He was to own components arranged and shipped in"2-3 days max." He was to call us to follow up to establish an appointment. Within no phonecall was obtained and a week went by, no components were shipped and almost two weeks went by before we had to make another appointment.
When Ruben arrived at our house, he did not possess shoe covers and refused to carry his (clearly filthy ) boots off. Our house has a no-shoes policy and he really had the gall to tell me,"Do not worry about it."

Outrageous. Quoted $1100 to hydro-jet a line. Two other companies quoted $300. I can imagine just how over priced they are on every other support. This seems common with Monkey Wrench upon reading the remaining reviews.
