Kenneth was effective in his job, comprehensive, and prompt --it's clear he is an expert in his field! But over this, Kenneth was friendly. The project took approximately an hour, and we chatted the entire way through. As a first-time homeowner, I have a lot to know about how to care for my property. As we chatted, Kenneth shared some tips and fixes for smaller issues he noticed as worked--matters unrelated to locks! I'm very grateful for Cy Drake and the warmth and friendliness of Kenneth: the brand new door fixtures and locks are ideal!!
I'm so content with the job Cy Drake Locksmiths did for my property. Before starting the projects at the home, we stopped to ask some questions and select our brand new fixtures. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, with a wide variety of merchandise. After we moved in we scheduled job for the week, and Kenneth came to complete the job.
Of the 3 keys I had made one was created wrong. So the key would not even fit in the lock, the blank was used. I haven't managed to return to exchange the key but expect there won't be a problem with getting a new one to replace it.
That is a review based on experience that is limited. I moved back to the area and needed some keys created. I was amazed to discover that it cost over $13 to possess three keys. In Manhattan they would've cost me. I can't comprehend why a company like this would want to charge so much for keys. The prices have been 2-3 times what I would've paid at a place like Home Depot, and even in, again, Manhattan, and yes it's just a few dollars per key, although I'm all for supporting local businesses.
I needed to get two keys made for my minivan (has a lot of fancy distant features and a hidden secret ), and my vehicle.
Fantastic place, we are fortunate to have something really great locally.
The keys for your minivan came with a defect, they fixed it no problem.
They do great work, and this is a place you can trust, they have reasonable rates and stand by it. Can't ask for more.
I needed to prepay the $280 beforehand before They'd even have the technician call me and then I had been told it was $35 on top of the $280 when I asked him to make me a key to the door
Charged $280 to unlock a bedroom door in my home yesterday - took the guy 5 mintues...
I compensated FOR 5 MINUTES!!!
The door I would break down prior to giving another dime to these snakes.
This is the go to guy in the region. They know their stuff and are professional and friendly. Do not bother getting keys created at the hardware store, go here
I certainly recommend coming here for your locksmith demands that are associated.
Came here to have a car key trim, and to my surprise it was below $10 (every additional locksmith I've been to or spoken with at the region charges nearly triple that price - or more). They were very insightful despite the collection of arbitrary questions I had.
Exceptionally easonble costs (best I've seen in Jersey so far), as well as capable and hospitable service.
Excellent service. Gentlemen that showed up to my house were pleasant, fast and made me feel quite comfortable. Described anything I had questions on. Kenneth and another man which was on his very first day for the company (though an experienced locksmith) were professional and I am quite happy with their job!
Great business. I picked up an Audi TT to revive. I needed a new key fob. Only came with you. The world wide web has a ton of conflicting information. When I went to a dealership it'd cost a small fortune for a brand new key, is. I called and spoke to Brian. He ultimately got me a brand new key fob for automobile that was considerably less than s, explained my options, and found the right fob. Call Cy Drake Should you require a replacement key for a car that presents a challenge. You won't be let down.
Thanks Guys!I purchased a security key for a Subaru Outback that demanded laser cutting on ebay. Customer supplied keys typically don't cut with my clean and original key, my in-laws fell in following some promise that I didn't require any warrantee. They were quite helpful and fair on cost. I still needed to find the transponder chip programmed. They gave a recommendation to me however I used google and wound up with the chip and divides it into my new fob key. I saved some cash over the dealer and discovered a locksmith. Thanks again Guys!!!
These are really nice, super people that are competent. I secured and goofed . My imposed problem was repaired in less than 15 minutes and that I didn't even need to feel foolish!
The staff is both Friendly and knowledgeable, and the shop is well stocked with a wide selection of locks, keys, locks, etc ).
The two guys working there knew what they do and were really helpful.
10/10 would deliver my locks again.
These men are just the best. Your cat's pajamas. The best thing since sliced bread.
I brought them a few hand-made locks from our house that are over 90 years old, and haven't been in production since Taft was president. They sent me home with fully functional, clean locks, keys, and installation instructions (all within my budget) And didn't seem to mind I constantly came to the store as early as.
I brought them a blank and they cut it . They did warn me, they could not program the chip that is essential ; I had to do this at the dealer. The price was fair, and they were very courteous during the procedure.
I came to Cy Drake's after hunting around NJ for a location that may cut laser cut (security cut) keys. Those where they retain their rectangular shape button. They had been the only people I might find, out a dealership - and that I drove around 20 minutes to have them do so.
It could be appropriate if there was a zero star rating. Very unprofessional, incompetent, rude, poor experience. They are only in business because of their location and also the lack of competition. Stay away.
With any and every potential kind of lockbox, lock, key and anything else under the roof, should you want any of these items that is the place.
I came freaking out a bit - I had broken my lock key away in my car's back, and without that could not lock/unlock my vehicle. I had looked up the costs of locksmiths and'd seen all kinds of mad prices. So with trepidation I moved indoors and drove to Cy Drake.
In case you've got a issue of any type, go here.
Within 10 seconds I had the key out of the lock, two replacement keys $10 less in my pocket, and created. Between other people's difficulties and my issue, could tell that the guy behind the counter had experience and took care of individuals.
I took a broken car key/shell to them. . .along using a new blank key to allow them to cut (instead of visiting dealer). My blank cuts for $70 and informed me it had been guaranteed. It didnt work. They didnt have a blank in stock to fit my vehicle. . .it was only. . .said they'd have the most suitable one at the next day and I would need to return...I came back a couple weeks later (they told me on the telephone they had the blank in) and they only had the longer version....so they tried cutting on that. The guy told me that the casing and the blade are two bits. He'd say that all I needed was to obtain a shell that is new because the blade was fine. Anyway, its works and the new blade dismisses and that he charges me another $70 and says they dont guarantee when cutting on customer-supplied blades. 70 gain for them I guess. . .clearly they want the $ more than me.
I just checked online and can purchase the shell (the component that was really broken) for $3....so, instead of sell me the $3 component I wanted, they charged me over $140 to cut 2 important blanks. I guess that is good for short-term gain but much less helpful to me...I wasted $$ and a couple hours with them. Next.

I locked myself from my house on a Friday evening in December (it was freezing out ). They wanted $350 to unlock my door.
