Following some googling, we discovered these men. Tyler arrived at our home where the Jeep programmed a new transponder key for about $120 bucks, was stuck, and offered us a transponder key for $60. Overall, we have two keys for under the purchase price of one in the dealership, and didn't even have to pay for or manage the trouble of a tow. It took about a 1/2 hour once he got here (which was the same day we called).
Following a road-trip/who-knows-where-that key travelled mix-up, my husband and I were able to find a key to his Wrangler. . .the one that would let us but when we started the ignition, would promptly shut the motor off within 5 seconds. Yep.
