No one came out. Got another call from someone who clearly didn't know this little game had played out itself. Inquired about the region code, was hung up on.
Not neighborhood, not even a locksmith business. Called to setup appointment. Scheduled it, worked in the home daily. An hour prior to the appointment a"supervisor" called me because I guess she noticed I had some unique requirements. Adding her pictures into an east shore area code. Called back me and was fast to get off the phone. Do not want the business or could not do it. Didn't matter, was strange.
This IS not a neighborhood small business, even though there is a regional Dripping Springs speech recorded online.
I is with me, and asked her why that was because the part needing service isn't installed whatsoever, she hung up on me.
Kind of surprised with all the impolite way her company was represented by her and projected her answer, and of course that she hung up on me, I decided to return. I started my conversation with,"hey, I'm new to the place and I just talked with you concerning re-keying a lock...".
You yelled at, sworn at, guessed it, and hung up on. Wow. Just wow. Don't bother calling these folks. They do not want, and do not deserve your company.
I called for s simple re-key of a residential cylinder/cam and inquired if I could walk in and await the service.
There was a local address recorded on the website when I googled"Dripping Springs Locksmith", but I do not believe that is a local operation. The operator told me they were near by in the region and should be arriving shortly. She offered me a drive fee, and a price for a normal unlock. After waiting for two hours, when the 2 guys showed up, I learned they were over 30 miles off (at a heavy traffic area), together with another job in front of me when I called. This is definitely a number to call and we worked out it, although Clearly I did not pay that price. Both guys who showed up were fine and needed their own company operation (I believe they bidding on the leads that come into that number I called), however I felt quite bad for them and I'm guessing this happens A LOT - the call center misrepresented the charge, didn't get any information from me, and such folks drove from Austin expecting to make a lot more money than I was willing to pay. If you're currently searching for a neighborhood I don't recommend calling this number.
