We have used Einstein's for a couple of jobs and they do a great job. Joe at Einstein goes above and beyond to provide a wonderful experience. I can tell that the company values every customer and each and works hard to earn our organization.
Short Story: Terrific Service, prompt response (regardless of the Brooklyn traffic congestion) and worked together with me regarding price. He handled our Brooklyn house with care and that I could leave my house .
Long StoryWe were in a bind together with our line. We simply had a clog that frustrated a couple of plumbers. Joe Collins was recommended by the friend of my wife and he didn't disappoint. He and his staff were the professional, providing a quote beforehand for the work to me. He shared if snaking the line didn't work, he wouldn't charge me. He was able to clean out the sewer line that is delicate from pipes from our 120 year old home after speculation that it was busted. He gave us advice on the best way best to proceed moving ahead to ensure flow. I am satisfied. You will find good caring technicians out there. Going forward, I am faithful to Joe and Einstein Plumbing and Heating Inc..
I really don't feel I have the words to describe how Einsteins Plumbing Inc and great Joe were to us but I'll do my best to communicate in brief and in details when Josh and Joe visited our house. .
First off, I am perplexed at all the negative reviews posted regarding Einstein's Plumbing and Heating. As summarized below, I am sharing my expertise:
I was distraught that my bathroom's toilet had become clogged. This toilet had just been serviced earlier this overflow incident that was new. Tom Annan arrived on time. He explained that the previous work hadn't been comprehensive. He showed components and the particular areas that needed attention to me. He offered a price. I was relieved to cross this crisis. I'll certainly contact Einstein's again.
Since solving a major flood in our basement, his guys and Joe are our go-to plumbers. From replacing mechanicals to receiving the garden hose to work, no job was too big, too little, or too last-minute. Einstein's is responsive, flexible, tidy, and gets the job. Highly recommend!
I had Joe arrived at the resecue. He knows precisely what he is referring to. Took 4 teams from power to confirm that joe was right. He is the one if you need a person who can diagnose and fix. I am not giving him a 5 star since he charges a leg and an arm, but I had a crisis and it was the weekend.
They tried to price gouge me.
Another plumber that I called the following day for a 2nd quotation did drywall/restoration work for $400 all in and fixed my problem. About 6-7hrs of work complete.
I had a leak that has been in a spot in my house. The pipes group they sent out were fine kids (no older than 23), however they quoted me $4000-$5000 as the ONLY fix for my problem (no recovery work included)
The plumber that they delivered switched into quite hard pressure mode and provided me something off the price if I signed on the spot, he offered. I cut my losses and paid the fee that was diagnostic. I won't ever call them.
Run Away. $900 into 2 fill valves. Wasnt the issue. Incompetant ripoff with support.
Rip Off! I was really value of their answer to my query, the automobile reminder I had an appointment, and the tracking system the day of the appointment. An none of the products was obstructed we tried worked. We paid nearly $100 the"trip fee" to get someone to stand in my kitchen and provide me estimate. Do not even pretend to look under the sink or fiddle with all the basin. If the drainage pipe broke in the basement because we shouldn't have tried to use a product 32, it wasn't their fault I was told.
After our landlord sent a plumber the men asked to get a wrench and a plunger. After an hour, they utilized a snake and the sink was fine. No parts replaced. He tried prior to giving a diagnosis for this problem doing something with the sink. Save your money. I wish I had assessed Yelp until I called these men.
I made the mistake of calling this location since it's so highly rated. The rating is undeserved. The first time that I called, a plumber came who refused to describe what was wrong with my toilet (a busted flushometer), was visibly intoxicated (painkillers?) And vomited in my toilet. Once I agreed for sink fix to an seemingly very high quote for the one of two options, he broke my bathroom sink in an attempt to mend it. He finally waved the service charge, and any cost, when he arrived than I had, but was left with much more busted plumbing.
The second time I called, a more competent-seeming and different plumber arrived. I was quoted two"options" one to complete half of the needed kitchen sink repairs for about $400 or all of the needed repairs for $800. He offered to phone the manager, when I complained about the cost. I calling another plumber, and ate the service fee, realized my mistake in having called the same plumbing service double. This plumber did the full needed repairs for just under $400--less than half of what exactly the Einstein's guy quoted.

Rip off!!! Do yourself a favor and deal with any other plumber. They will need to rip off people because obviously they don't have a customer base that is returning to run their business. In addition to that they'll do a sh*ty occupation to increase the frustration, stay out!
RIPOFF! RIPOFF! RIPOFF! Regrettably they had me over a barrel since I had a gas escape I had to repair instantly. They charged me a ridiculous amount of money. They then had the nerve to give me an estimate to replace my boiler that was tens of thousands of dollars more then three other plumber's estimates. That's right not tens of thousands of dollars more, tens of thousands of dollars more. Happy to say I used Control Plumbing for the boiler that was and they did a magnificent job.
I would not use Einstein pipes if my home was underwater and they had been the plumber in the city. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Einstein Plumbing. Nothing but a rip off!

I must say other than there being a small price gap, from what the young lady said on the telephone and what the tech billed, (Only left a message to find some clarity on that) my experience with Einstein was great. I was able to find someone here. ( the firm gave me an appointment for a week from today ). They arrived within the time. The tech was respectful and nice, he did not attempt to sell me anything more. He identified the problem fixed it and I had heat in less than 20 mins.
After seeing reviews , on yelp I came. We have water heater and a brand new boiler 3 years back through another company. Our experience together was a nightmare, so I was forced to try another firm when the temperature dropped when my heat wasn't turning yesterday.
Credit cards are accepted by them and did it.
Dave the plumber removed. He also provided and set up a brand new pull-out spout kitchen faucet. He examined unwieldy sink drain rod in an upstairs bath and defective faucet handles after the kitchen project was complete. This was not part of their first job petition, and he didn't take the repair parts for the fixtures, but he gave directions that are outstanding for a repair, and he didn't charge for the time.
These people were horrible. I predicted on a wednesday, requested for a friday appointment. By late thurs., once I hadn't heard anything that I called back and got a girl, who said she could not find a record of my phone and had no thought that I was speaking to the day earlier. It was 4pm on a friday, when the plumber finally came, and though we had no heating and a bathroom he was clearly not planning to do any work. He looked at the job, billed 69.99 only for that, explained that I need a new furnace (which I do not know whether to believe), also said that the manager would call me that day or the next day to discuss costs. It is now and no one has called.
Very responsive - responsible We had an emergency escape. Early the next morning they came out. Before they arrived to say they called had been in their way. Joe, came in assessed that the issue. Gave us a price went outside to his truck to receive his stuff. Came altered what was needed and in repaired the pipe and was done within a hour!
We were scheduled for somebody to come and look at a leak. The time frame was between 9:00 and 12:00 in the morning. When no-one showed up I called and instead of an apology I was told I need to understand that there are people and emergencies with no warmth. I advised them that I do know so we do not wait for nothing but I would have expected a call. Still no apology, and no one showed up.
Nothing better than an honest businessman! Difficult to find these days. Overall great support. Happy Client!
After the rain my rear patio flooded. I called Joe and Einstein came and immediately repaired a clog. He also helped me with my radiator with an problem. He was amazingly fair, professional, and among the nicest guys I've met in 2013.
