Brandon did a great job! Called him in to fix a bathtub and had a problem with my toilet faucet during the time we waited on the shower area. Not only did he do a great job he moved out of his way to discover the faucet to be fixed by parts the moment! Highly recommend, knowledgable, professional, and a super nice guy.

I contacted them within hours, they had my building stringent insurance requirements met, they and were onsite doing job... I was in such a pinch using a recently constructed kitchen. We had a complicated installation, plus they had everything ready to go at our kitchen in a few hours. The owner, Jay, called me a few times to check in and see that everything ran well and to confirm the schedule. The office supervisor Howard was friendly and useful. Both technicians that came onsite were VERY professional, friendly and did work.
Super adapting, onsite in SUPERB JOB and a few hours!
This is a set of plumbers and a group to work with. Superior work and folks to work with.

The reviews and I'm assuming other people had experiences, wish I could say the same.
Yesterday, a pretty serious flood was in the flat upstairs that flooded my bathroom. Those folks attempted , they were supposed to come between 2 and 4 yesterday, then today at 9am and never showed.
I've contacted these guys and they could have been much more professional in the circumstances. First, was a broken shower manage and when they came they insisted they'd need to leave and drive around multiple boroughs at $150/hr to search in person for the area (beginning in the Bronx, I'm in Williamsburg). I needed to call the operator and spend some time explaining you may use"the net" to discover parts considerably faster. The project took a month or so w/ multiple visits to ultimately fix which is clear. I paid in person, obtained reception, etc.. I then obtained a somewhat unpleasant collection call later stating they had their money. When I told the owner he stated I never heard back and he'd did not think so but could test.

I have used this company twice in the previous 4 decades. Both times they arrived as scheduled and completed the work promptly and professionally for a price that was fair. You couldn't ask for a better experience.

Son & irwin Friedman was founded in the 1920s at Brooklyn. The Friedman household still runs the company. You don't get to stay around that long unless you are good.

The plumbers were friendly and extremely professional and mended my sump pump in less than thirty minutes. They were able to explain to me exactly what the issue was. I would be pleased to utilize Sons & Irwin Friedman any moment that I want a plumber from here on out.
I was pleased with how fast today, they could come to my house - roughly two hours later I called to make an appointment. When it comes to water issues, time is of the essence and that I have never had a plumber appear so fast.

Unreliable. Scheduled an appointment in advance and reconfirmed two weeks before the appointment and they never showed up. Said they would call to reschedule and I never heard back. Wouldn't call them again.

This certified plumbing business was friendly, competent and professional. They cut to secure pipes that was banging around like mad when the washing machine has been in use. They added water hammer arrestors on the other side of the wall. The task completed in the time period and in their hourly rate. We're satisfied with the work.

Called and left a message and Jay called back in a few hours. He didn't try to oversell, and was helpful troubleshooting my dilemma. In fact, rather than having him come out he made a few ideas to do. Really enjoy it, and would recommend to anyone.

Super friendly. They had understaff issues I had an appointment, but they rectified the situation right away and had someone. I had been pet sitting for the owner's, and they needed their sink faucet bath tub re-caulked and replaced. After he was done he took a the garbage down and smashed up everything.
After the owners saw the sink, they were super happy that the water pressure was repaired by him without me asking him. They noticed that the handle was on the side. Whoops my fault for not catching that.
I called them up and scheduled a time to allow them to come back. They showed up on time and fixed the free of charge. They were also great with the puppy that resides there:-RRB-. Support this family owned business. The customer support is great, and their prices are decent.

First off, these guys responded in minutes, not hours. They had been as fine as they were educated. It is no wonder why these guys are about their 4th generation of household owning and operating in the region. These guys are by far ahead of the pack although I've dealt with many plumbers over the years.

Our hot water heater broke and we had Friedman Irwin & Son replace it. We were quite satisfied with the team. Jay responded right away to our query via Yelp. When we spoke he had been helpful and friendly, and we have a very competitive cost. Brandon and Norbert came across to perform the work (eliminating the old water heater as well as installing the new one) and they were great - friendly, professional, efficient and thorough. Only minor gripe was that they arrived an hour later than the time we initially agreed to, due to some other job, but I am not knocking off a star for that because they let me know they were running late and retained me up-to-date on the arrival time. We had an superb experience in general. We'll use them to get almost any plumbing work in the long run and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to neighbor or your friend.

Because we had no hot water called and it had been a few days. I explained I had a really elderly mother and can they possible come to fix the issue. They have been amazing.
They arrived as they could - Jose, the person who fixed the problem was courteous and professional and best of all, explained all he he had done.
Jay did amazing follow up that is always a plus in my book.
They are highly recommended by me - no wonder they have been in business as long as they have.

Friedman Irwin & Son Inc is AMAZING!!! I called them last night out of despair -- my water was outside -- and they were able to come FIRST thing this morning. They have been in and out in no time and professional, respectful and polite. And my water is fixed. I highly recommend them ! They couldn't be better.

Only called about a leak in my shower. Were advised that for them to come and JUST look at it over would be a service charge of $175.

When my pipe burst came to give a crisis estimate on the same day.
The quotation was the same amount as was billed. The pipes were respectful and hard working, the job was completed in under one hour.

I called after hours and left a voicemail providing details and asking for a call back (I did not call the optional emergency amount provided, since it was not an emergency). As requested I got a call early the next morning. They are situated just a few blocks from me, and instead of having an appointment they could send a man over in 10-15 mins, even though I had been ready to arrange something for later (awesome), so I could get to work that morning and not worry about coming home early. My issue was a very simple clogged bathroom, he attracted a snake, and he had been in and out in 15 minutes since it had been simple enough that I probably could have taken care of it myself but wished to have called a plumber so as to demonstrate to my insurance that I was doing my due diligence. He was friendly and professional and made sure to double check the flush was working before departing. On the phone, I had been quoted $150-$175 depending upon the difficulty of the job, along with the man who came called after he had been done to confirm pricing, such as mentioning that it was quite simple and to not enforce the upper end of their quotation, which I appreciated. As quoted, cost was $150 (cash or check only, but taxation excluded so ended up being 164 ), and he gave me a reception without me asking for it that I appreciate when a company is cash only. I'd have enjoyed a slightly lower cost considering how simple the job was that I was flexible on timing, but these guys had the snake and did the job, and I didn't, and we are living in NYC where rent is certainly not free, especially for businesses. I felt as though this was in accord with local pricing, but not a steal, that is completely fine. I think I could have seen a (slightly) cheaper cost for your job, but based on what I've read just by about $25 and it could have taken a couple of days, and I like hiring local because I need that sort of neighborhood. These guys did exactly what they said they would for the price they quoted me, which is all you can ask for. Can not provide advice regarding work that was complex, but I might think about them for something much more serious and would certainly recommend them to get a job that was simple, and got an excellent response time and good feeling from them. I should've expected a snarky attitude from this guy when I read men and women who gave legitimate criticism his replies. This guy is dreadful. First of all, his firm was not open on time so I called an alternate number and perhaps he was grumpy since it was early but he wanted to charge $200/ hr to come back and estimate the work when I ask for clarity when $200/ hr was for the actual work or the estimate he replies"I do not work for free" nobody asked you to work for free I just wanted to be apparent. As a homeowner I understand that technicians charge agency charges but usually plumbers will say"we charge an agency fee of $$ and if you choose us to do the work this will be implemented to your cost" simple and professional.
I'm very suspicious of all those 5 star reviews, after speaking with him. Readers of those reviews should note that many people have raised the complaint about this guy although naturally I'm sure the owner will not be afraid to supply a reply that is nasty. Do not make the mistake that I made and overlook the tone in his replies to the accurate feedback concerning his demeanor that is negative and people. Ideally, one anticipates a plumber to knowledgable, trustworthy and cordial which inspires confidence that they know what they're doing more importantly it earns credibility which you will make things right in case something unexpected occurs. Sure you can correct a simple kitchen sink and get 5 stars if the unexpected happens, but when you're contracted for more complicated and work how are you going to respond? There is too many technicians in Brooklyn to suffer unprofessional nastiness - before doing the work I can't imagine he will be at managing anything that may go 37, when that is his behavior. Previous reviewers have noted at addressing your concerns when you aren't pleased exactly how bad he's. It's not about the $200 since I don't mind spending for quality work in my home that is all about personality and it is simply not worth the risk that this guy does poor work and treats you with disregard after you've spent your cash.

Will definitely recommend these guys. Their pricing is fair, the standard of their work is large, and they. His son and jay came by to do the quote and were great. Myron and Keyon came by to do the job and they were great (and quite funny) too. I do not need to call a plumber again, but if I do, it will be these men. :)

Irwin Jr. was fantastic. Super friendly, super communicative and super effective (they receive the plumbing going!) . Highly recommend.

I have worked with Friedman Irwin & Son twice and both timesthey talked to me and moved in a thorough manner together through my difficulties.
I called Jay now with a problem at 6:30PM and he can tell I wanted something. When other plumbers are done for the day, he fixed it came out and charged me a reasonable cost.
I'm new to the area and it's great to have someone I hope from here on out. I 100% recommend them.
