He did not have the Harolds van and was not wearing a uniform when someone arrived. He couldn't assist me and explained he would need to drill it. So I did not proceed I got uneasy feelings.
I had used Harolds 4 occasions and Hal helped me and did a great job. Over the past year I got someone who and phoned Harolds.
It was not open although I've driven by Harolds store.

Do YOURSELF a FAVOR and Don't call this place. Consequently, if you call"San Gabriel Locksmith", they will"agent" your call to a amateur locksmith. They won't even have the ability to open your door and likely overcharge that the SHIT out of you. Turns out, this amount has places in different cities. He gets paid a commission for every call he gets.
Waste of the time. There is no physical location, nor is this place located in San Gabriel. When you call, a man picks up and sends your request to a"locksmith". By going through a middle man, right off the bat, you are paying. I gave them a call since I didn't realize there wasn't a physical address. I ask how much the service price and that he asked for my address, then said I'll have a technician over in 15-20minutes. WTF? Red Flag #1. I ask for the cost again and he explained prices"begin" at $25 depending on the lock. Okay, I have a lock that is fundamental so that I should be paying $40-? Wrong.
If this technique doesn't work, he will try another way, and he says that the lock will charge $125 to open and it is going to be $185. The crucial hole will be drilled by him as a last effort, if the two try did not work. This fool trying to upsell me to get a service that is fundamental. Fuck that. I will call somebody else. He responded,"I'll tell my boss cancelled and do a side transaction. $80 flat fee." Red Flag #3
Now, I'm super frustrated. I wasted an hour of the time and 15 for a few unprofessional to tell me that they can not open the door. I then call another locksmith I discover on yelp. The place is called Key & LockFix Doors. He asks me to send him a picture, and confirmed the lock can be opened by him. He said he'd be there in 20 minutes he had been in 18. Herman, pulled up in a van (WITH a business name). When I told him about my 10, he had been amazed. Literally moments after coming to my door, he gets it all open. I grab my wallet and pay him less than HALF of the other area is charging me.
It required the"locksmith" almost an hour to get to my house. I use quotations because this man pulled up in a dumpy looking Nissan Altima with half of the coat gone and no business name. The interior was filled with junk if he slept in there and that I would not doubt. Red Flag #2.
So now I understand this is all bullshit but so I agree I dont want to waste time. He spends about 15 minutes looking like he has no clue what he's doing. Turns out he "cant" open the lock. He wants to drill it. I told himI'm just going to call somebody else. He offers me the rebuttal stating"nobody" can open this lockand should you call somebody else you're going to end up paying more for the identical outcome. If it can not open, I told him I will call somebody else. He says alright but I have to charge you a service fee. LMAO. I don't want to argue with him so that I pay him $15 to leave.

I was locked out of my house after arriving home after 30 minutes of waiting they advised me nobody could help and I called Harold's Lock smith double. I used 24 hr Lock Smith and they arrived in 20 minutes to my door and assisted me. If you're looking for a late night lock smith might want to use a different service.

I got in and out of there in under 5 mins.
They were fast to support me. I walked in as I wanted to get a duplicated, and they helped me right away.

I've been waiting someone to come my house lock situated at SGV region open. There were few times more because no one comes and no one calls back for almost any update, Considering that the first known. The call from us was around 7am, they stated the motorist got stopped by a police, when we need, they could send another individual to come to an hour from 40mins. If the company and my house are how come you need 1 hour to come my lock??? open

This place is remarkable. If you run into a lock or key issue that you need work on, this shop can create wonders. I had a house key which I needed duplicates for. I went to each local key shop in the city. No one could do it! I was told no one carries the blanks for this particular lock and this lock had been discontinued for many years. Well, this shop did. So thank you.

Of your cash will be taken by this locksmith, although I hate to leave a review on Yelp. I locked myself from my apartment. Called this locksmith and gave them my situation and address. He said someone would call me back. Someone calls me and they quoted 20 to 30 minutes but it took longer than that. He's me signal but does not give a price to me, After the locksmith finally gets there. My door is unlocked by him and tells me its 264. 264! For less than a minute's work. 220 for the job and 44 service fee. I better off just broke off my door lock and installing a brand new one!

A side note on the above visit, a general builder once explained,"the issue with tradesmen now days, is they don't respect each other's job". This wasn't accurate for the locksmith from Harold's. He was careful not to scratch the paint on the door frame, spread a canvas sheet above our hardwood flooring and swept up after himself.
A deadbolt that goes deep to the frame of the doorway, into 2 x 4, not into trim molding was set up by the locksmith. The screws are. As he worked he explained what he do and why. I feel knowing how powerful this lock is.
I trust those guys.
I choose to review our home safety, because a neighbor had an attempted break-in. I knew we had a greater lock on front door. The service guy out of Harold's key shop was out over a day.

I stopped in Harold's Lock to acquire a don't duplicate key blank for a apartment that I'm renting out. The locksmith suggested that he simply stamp the key that I already had to prevent paying more or waiting for the one on order. I appreciated this so much. I had not even considered doing this. There isn't any one greater if you are in need of a locksmith. They've been serving me out for a couple of years.

Harold's Key Shop was. Desired $60 to come out, then said it would cost $200 to open it since it was a lock that was challenging and he would need to run it. Ridiculous.
Harold's got the door open in even re-keyed the cylinder and moments so the door could be opened by that our office key, if we lock again. The rates are incredibly aggressive! $75 to re-key for the lock and $20. 10 minutes and $95 is all it took to have back our office - wish we would have predicted Harold.
Great service - couldn't be happier.
Harold's is your best bet, Should you want a professional locksmith.

Fantastic service! Hal came when he said he would. Worked efficiently and fast. Got the job. Very reasonable for same-day services.

These men are great!! Hal can be a bit cranky at times but he's cool, as soon as you get to know him. His bark is worse than his bite:-RRB-. They can work on just about any lock plus they do house calls.

Honest. Fair. Easy to get a grasp of.
John came by to rekey and swap a number of those locks. We asked for some additional work after finishing the original project. We had already agreed to the additional commission but since the other items on the original work arrangement were more easy than he'd anticipated, he offered to do it.

This store is actually helpful, eventhough they do not have the support to unlock my car. They advise me a location to help out me.

Excellent fast and reliable. Got my key stuck in the lock and managed to break it off. So I pulled the lock. . . On injury. . . Anyways took it and then he fixed it in 5 minutes. And made me a key in like 30 seconds. I've had spare keys done in home depot and other places and no where was it quick.

Until I paid -- he tested the secret on the car -- on ALL the guards. Very comprehensive and considerate. I recommend this store!
This store had just what I wanted, the worker (Howard? I don't have any idea) asked me exactly what I needed and assessed while I was on the telephone --and that I didn't ask him to perform it.

Used to love this place but today there never in the store eventhough it states open from 8am to 5pm. I wanted there was another place close by to make keys.
