I encourage local businesses first. They rely on holiday with its owner as residents, not a shop always on us. Tony the owner, along with his mother & daddy before him is helpful and always there. They have but J&J carries. It's like"Cheers"; in which everybody knows your name. Great prices too.

I always go to the hardware store. It's close by in their costs appear to be less costly then the hardware stores. The people are friendly and willing to help.

What they are doing is illegal they're not suppose to talk cost and force customer to have just 1 alternative. Guess what business bureau here I come.
The proprietor Tony does business when he sees that competition is going to get clients since his pricing is irrational he calls and threaten them that they'll lose his business in the future. Today I was in the process of ordering compost out of his provider BRITTON INDUSTRIES and since they were eager to give me a much better price that he called them to tell them he'd quit ordering from them going forward making them cancel in my order and offer an apology saying they didn't wish to upset their clients.
To write a review had to give them one celebrity however it like celebrities that are negative!
Well Tony should you practice ethical business people wouldn't feel the necessity to look else where.

Personally, I will not be supporting this company any longer.
A review is on here which I figure yelp but after my experience today with the owner of J&J Hardware, I am confident that the article was inaccurately flagged.
When I had experienced what the owner of the company is like, all of the aforementioned changed today. Saying that he's"Rude" simply doesn't cut it. .
Now. . It was far from it, although I know that some might see the above and believe that I tried to bargain with them or something like this. I was uninformed and only calling asking just how much the soil would cost. . As opposed to get somebody that offered customer support, I got somebody that was berating an employee while a client was on the phone, treating me like I was crap.
I phoned them to get pricing at first a employee answered the telephone, on soil delivery. . I had asked just how much the soil was, to the owner got on the telephone and said"hold on a minute I have a client I will be right with you". They need to have believed the telephone was on hold or something, since all I heard was degrading this worker about something unrelated to my call. Then he got back to the call, told me"It has been some time since I've done this, im assuming you've gotten additional prices so what other prices have you ever gotten for soil". I advised him that I had gotten a cost from a different place, but they had measured in"tons" instead of"yards" and I was unsure of the comparison. He advised me soil isn't measured in yards, and asked for the title of the other place (that I advised him). He said he'd be 4 cheaper per yard, and asked for my information. Contemplating how rude he had been to both the worker, in addition to myself, I said"I will call you guys back once I pick". His response was"Why you can call another spot for a cost?" And hung up before I could even respond. That he picked up and I phoned back, said something that I could only make out as gibberish, then wrapped up.
Still in shock from the aforementioned considering just how good the server was up until today, and just how much $ I've spent .
Up until today, I have only experienced handling the worker's at J&J (I've been a regular customer for about 2 years now). I've recommended them to lots of people. They"were" more suitable, educated, and friendly afterward those at Lowes/Home Depot.

Great community hardware business. Prices are competitive and the staff, by the proprietor to the inventory employees, are very accommodating. I proceed to Mt. Laurel for my requirements, though I live in Burlington.

Best customer service . . . Without asking for help he tracked it all down built up everything I wanted. It would have taken me to search through all the drawers and cabinets looking for those parts. . Only place im going for hardware.

Service and selection is top notch. The staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful with everything. Never had a bad experience! Avoid SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS and the guys!
