Tom out of Jantzen came out to our home to correct a door lock which wasn't working. He explained that, having a comparatively new home, we were given"contractor grade" locks which corrode if they are not used frequently.
He fixed the lock, replaced the hooks, and showed us how to spray the interior of the keyhole with WD-40 twice annually, and then add and remove the key 10-15 days to"drill the pins".
Terrific work and client service.
I no one ever showed up and made an appointment a week in advance. I waited for two hours and when I finally called to determine when someone would show up, they informed me that I needed to reschedule and I fell through the cracks. I couldn't believe nobody had called me to let me know that no one was forthcoming. Because who has time to wait around and hope they show 16, I moved.
These people are magicians- they totally solved our catastrophe, cut two keys and chose a safe we rebuilt it disassembled the lock lost the secret for. All for a remarkably reasonable price in 24 hours. Highly recommend.
Nothing just craftmens
Step back in time and experience how company application to be. They cut on me a car key.
Downtown to Jantzen as they were the only ones that I had called that understood the part I was talking about & wanted for a 30-year old front door lock. They had several types in home and it was a matter of earning the part and describing exactly the difficulty. In and out in five minutes, beautiful service, and reasonable price for an"esoteric" part.
If charging exorbitant levels for small jobs, screaming over the telephone, and not providing quotes up front is the standard of great business of Jantzen, I will take my lock needs everywhere. The locksmith, Dan, was trustworthy polite, and professional. My guest commented that she heard Anne whilst demanding a credit card screaming at him and he appeared embarrassed. Its the desk jockey at Jantzen office downtown who has issues and can be incredibly impolite. Plenty of locksmiths in town. Do not use Jantzen. They aren't BBB registered either.
As Cat C. says, Anna at the desk has deplorable customer services. They wanted to charge me $175 to have a single deadbolt put in an indoor cupboard door. They sprung a $75"support" charge on top of labor and components without quoting me for the fee or the labour rate up front. When I called to inquire about the fee, Anne flew off the deal when I informed her I disagreed with the bill. She continued to insult me and my guest who let the locksmith at the door claiming I didn't know what"great service" is and"I need to not work for a living since I don't know how business works."
Came in with a broken key, asked if they could help with this, I had been told that they can not identify the secret (calling themselves locksmiths lol), this was the very easy single side metal key, when I asked to purchase a simple blank key I had been denied on the premise that,"we do not want people cutting keys out there".
The rude, not only that, when I left, non-lady that was historical, came back in the parking lot after me like I stole something out of something or her.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to your locksmith requirements, or, go there in the event that you would like to understand how to fail in operation.
Terrible service.
No celebrities!!!! Anne was so rude on the telephone that it was shocking!!! Never ever again and you may be certain I will tell. Too bad since Eric was nice. Call Charleston Locksmith they're polite and hospitable
Have never used this business and never will. The street ran off today. License plate P515813!!! I must have called the cops, he seemed to be either drunk or just dumb!!! Should be a bit more cautious when you have your business name
Incredibly professional, courteous, and timely. Couldn't have asked for better support.
They set up a deadbolt. No complaints.
I have needed locks changed on three doorways and a few properties. The woman who answers the phone problems a"guesstimate" at changing 6 lock places of $240 which is $80 more than what I have paid before. When I asked what the cost was to allow them to simply show up to compare with the other locksmith costs, her answer was,"$240 is my price." In other words: Should they are hired by you, expect to give them carte Blanche cost-wise and they'll not be questioned about how much anything costs. I have got plumbers and electricians that say $70 to come outside, and I will phone you when I get there and we'll figure out the most cost efficient solution for you. Problem solvers are truly appreciated by me and forward people. You will receive none of this here. It's my money your prices, beforehand.
I got a couple of important copies while I waited and they were done. Excellent service and a store indoors that is neat, for example you entered the next world.
Then I realized that I had been in front of a locksmith, and looked up. Oh, I guess it is coincidental whatsoever. Still cool, though.
I took plenty of walks, when I first moved to Charleston. Once I walked and detected that a secret embedded in the pavement cement. Then a different one. Then I realized there were a ton of keys around the place! I could not believe it.
Fantastic! They had EXACTLY what I wanted, just when I needed it. I was staying at a condo in Charleston and dropped the key and key chain. Jantzen was able to match the key chain and make the key in less than 5 minutes while I waited. I saved me my $250 lease deposit and charged me only $3 for the key and the series.
I called morning Jantzen once I was locked out a. They could not have been nicer! Not only did they appear in moments, but I was brought a jar of water because it was so hot outside by Eric. They were timely extremely professional, and polite. I look forward to working with them!
