My SO's car key snapped in half, late on Monday. We had quotes of $150 to $ 200 from any standard locksmith after phoning around. The dealership we can tow the car to said they would have to wait until the morning to give us an estimate. We had the car and I became the chauffeur.
They had padlocks door handles, and lots of distinct models and makes of car keys. If you're in the same situation (we'd no transponder, so no comment on that), I urge you to contemplate Jerry D's first.
We had no appointment, but stopped in on a lunch break - together with 2 associates behind the counter (that was FILLED with key possibilities, in case you're looking for something to fit your character ) and another customer in the shop, we had been in and out in 10 minutes. Andreas was helpful and friendly - took one look at the secret, glued it together so he could laser cut a replica, and it was $20. My SO will probably be going back to get a second backup - just in case.

Incredibly expensive. Their job is ok but to change 3 bolt door locks 45 minute project: $440, with identical key.

Their job is capable but their prices are high, and their timeliness sucks. Give yourself an extra 2 hours of wait time if they arrive in any way. 4 appointments late. Maybe all locksmiths are all prima donnas.
