I had been billed $219 for an auto lockout at the center of the afternoon on a Monday which required 30 seconds and a slim jim.
1 additional star for promptness - telephone calls were received and the locksmith arrived just at the time frame promised.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! TOTAL SCAMMERS! Because I locked my keys inside while shopping at 18, I wanted my car door open. When I called and spoke to a dispatcher and asked how much it would cost, he asked for my model of automobile and speech. Then stated it costs $30 to get a tech to come out plus"roughly another $30 for the unlocking, so it is going to come to around $60." (his words!) Then told me that a technician will call you. They called 30 minutes later, saying it would take ANOTHER 30 minutes for him to get there. I asked the Technician I was talking with just how much it was going to cost me and he said $30 for the visit, and it STARTS at $30 for the unlocking. I asked him"what exactly do you believe it begins at $30? All I want is that my door unlocked, what other circumstance would force you to raise the purchase price?" He didn't have an answer besides"it begins at $30" and then told me he'll call me back with a cost. A couple of minutes after I get a call in the original Dispatcher I spoke with who told me it'd cost $60, who is now telling me it is going to cost from the greater 100's of dollars but he can do some thing and now it is going to cost me $115! I asked how come now you are telling me it is $55 MORE than the $60 I was initially told by you. He too then said exactly what the tech said, it begins at $30 and is based on how they open the car and what car I have, and"looking at my info it is going to cost $115." I got mad and told him I GAVE YOU MY CAR INFORMATION THE FIRST TIME I SPOKE WITH YOU AND YOU STILL QUOTED ME $60 I began yelling back at me and told him it sounds as if you're trying to scam folks like your testimonials say. I kept saying I'm not paying over $100 when you told me $60 first time, and also to not send the technician out since I'll just call a place and cover half that. He continued to argue with me and I again said"I told you I don't want your company anymore, this conversations over!" and I hung up. He called back a second later and I replied saying"don't call my cell phone again!" And then hung me up. . So that was my experience with this horrid company that informs you one cost to fool you, then will try and slip in all the"well there was this fee and this fee", blah blah blah, to try and charge you double or triple the original cost they advised you! Not to mention the customer service I had with the dispatcher who had ZERO conversation abilities and cussed a customer that was frustrated since they kept changing the cost! NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
Scam!! Overcharge people! Talked and hide behinds his technicians pants. The problem himself yet claim to be a supervisor can't be solved by him! What a shame... do not ever use this company guys or you may repent it!
I have nothing but excellent things to say about the service I received. . .locksmith was very fast, he came and got me in to my car QUICK..within 30 minutes I was in my way. The price was fair and the operator answering their phobe was affectionate and
helpful. I will come to these guys again!
A young girl showed up to perform my job, I would add that she was in her personal car and was not dressed. She cut the key that she provided (it was not a smart key so it did not have the remote on it), she was not able to cut the smart key and ended up taking it into a hardware store. She was not able that they would work in my car to program key. Send her on her way and I wanted to pay for what had been done. The fee: $29 $98, for the trip to cut on $20 and two keys that she provided. A grand total of $147.
I took the keys to a locksmith in the city the next day. In about 15-20 minutes he managed to program the two keys and send me on my way. The price? $85 for both.
Locksmith Plus, Inc. has a very impressive website. As you look at it, you get the impression that they can do any job which you need. This isn't true. I needed a new key for my own Ford Edge programmed and cut. Have that programmed as well and I also wanted to buy another key.
Needless to say, I don't advocate Locksmith plus.
