Such a fantastic lil shop. Excellent customer support and a fantastic choice of knives. Blades of any kind sharpened this is where to bring 20, Should you need any of your knives. I have brought everything out of my knives, kitchen knives, and the blade out of my lawn mower to be trued up! :)

The owner was very nice and fair. Will definitely go back. The price is resonance. I had my battery for me personally changed.

This review is for leather restoration. My spouse had a leather handbag that had stitching coming. She was informed that so as to repair it, the fabric liner would need to be trimmed, since a number of the reinforcement would need to take place underneath it. It'd no hint of having been sewn up when she got back the bag, and she was informed that the straps had been bolstered, even though only 1 strap came undone. That's going above and beyond! And all that cost a very reasonable $20! If we have other leather and/or shoe repair requirements, We'll return.

Good shoe repair support. Things are overpriced, although more than a shoe store.

Service was fantastic! Went here in order to find a watches along with the gentlemen shifted it in 10 mins. Very nice gentlemen. I'll be coming back here for battery!

My handbag broke while on vacation so I found this location. Within a half hour my handbag was mended and it only cost seven dollars! This guy is awesome.

'd my 1000 miles re-soled here and he did a great job. I think that is due to the type of only used although the threads were sunk in a groove. They and went vibram this time arrived back glistening. When they will need to be re-soled again I will be coming.

I adore this place. It is totally unique, the owners are as sweet as can be, and that I can take my well-loved (read, old and ratty) boots in there to get new insides and come out two days later looking like I have brand-new sneakers, for $20. It will not get much better than this. Dig on your boots from the closet, take them in, support an wonderful business!

I brought in two pairs of Johnston & Murphy men's dress shoes (a pair of brogues and also a loafer). I'm thoroughly impressed I am very pleased with the price and finally I value the fact that he managed to get the pair. I was impressed.

Mel's is an remarkable shoe repair meticulous and high quality work, with great customer support. A true gem! Glad that I found Mel and don't need to choose shoes and hand bags for repair to LA.
I took two identical pairs of shoes to Mel's. One was 2 years old and needed the other rubber soles that are needed and refurbishing. As soon as I got them back, Mel's had done such a great job I couldn't tell them apart! Awesome craftsmanship. Very grateful.

Love Mel's - they have saved favorite shoes times! Really nice people, and when they are needed by me they appear to always be available. They take all kinds of helpful things also - my husband was searching for a shoe polish and of course it was on the shelf at Mel's! Knife sharpening too - bonus points!!

There's an interesting mix of product (purses, knives, jewelry, etc), but what actually makes this shop stand out is the fact they are a general"fix it" kind of place and the superb customer support. I took in a strap to be shortened. The gentleman gave me a quick turnaround knew how to do it, and charged a very reasonable price. Darn it. I suggest you visit Mel's Should you will need any kind of shoe, leather, knife, watch fix.
Mel's Shoe Clinic is a conventional company - actually it a mom and pop shop. It's a shoe practice. They lowered the heels on a pair of boots. Because they were too high, boots that were seldom worn are now comfortable and readily wearable. There's all types of shoe paraphernalia: shoe pliers, suits, cleaners, etc..
This is just an amazing place. It might become common if many people know about it!
If you still like to put on a watch (like I do) then it's possible to get watch batteries replaced or buy new watch bands.

Both pairs for work of she's using a life after repairs at Mel's Shoe Clinic. Fair price. Friendly support. Reasonable timeframe.

The folks who run this place are very nice. I feel like I got jipped! I took my luggage to get one of the 2 zippers re-tracked. I had been told that he may be in a position to perform it. But if not he leave one zipper for $ 5 to me and would remove it. When I went to pick it up, he ended up just removing one of the sliders and adding (what's safe to presume ) an old nike pull on the slider that I had been left with. I was rung by the girls up for $10. When I asked "why?" She responded that the zipper was re-tracked. That it wasn't! It had been removed. So she moves to confirm with the man in the trunk and he says"well we added a pull".
3. It wasn't!! I could have obtained the second zipper off myself AND used the pull with that slider!
$10 isn't much but this was a bs experience. May have used this money for a burrito or something
1. If you told me a specific cost... STICK TO IT!
2. If you can not honor that price allow me to know so I can determine if it's worth the money. Which...
4. I shouldn't be charged for something which was laying around.
Here are my issues:

This man is incredibly good and friendly. He has made my favorite pair run-down booties whom I've been wearing almost daily for 2 years look brand new (brand new, thick rubber heels) and he did it in 2 days. Very fair prices. Watch bands will be replaced by him while you wait. I started going to him!

Great service all the way round is what was provided at the place, what made me fall more in love was that the pricing is affordable. I be sure I bring any of my shoe asks to him way from Bay Point.

We walked into the door, our first time in Mel's, we were greeted with a smile and it just got better from that point. We had been quoted Saturday pickup and to their sentence, everything was bagged and ready to go. Done, I cannot express our satisfaction. My wife brought her pricey watch in for repair (or maybe just a new battery, we weren't convinced ) and instead of just replacing the battery we had been asked to leave it to get a through examination to make sure the mechanism's were all in great working order. They do it all at Mel's, with a smile. A complete, easy, non-stress experience. We've found our go-to location for many things. Check it out, you won't be sorry!

What a wonderful store. . .went in to replace battery and didn't have the coupon but the wonderful lady honored it anyway. Great inventory also.

Greg is a craftsman in a lost art. His work is beautiful and he makes my shoes beautiful. I have issues and need to have custom build ups. I drive two hours each way to bring my shoes to Greg. I know he'll do a job and I will not go anyplace else. For taking good care of me thank Ida and Greg.

They did a wonderful job fixing my Michael Kors and Coach purses! Not only did they do a fantastic job reattaching the straps they're also fast! They were prepared to pickup. Thank you again!
