However the first phone call got a bit garbled and the plumber who first arrived had not been granted complete information (he was advised one job when there were two). He called for assistance, so it all got done.
It would appear that people are saying that Mitch The Plumber does work but there are issues with communication.
My strong suggestion is -- don't rely on a phone call if you talk to Mitch himself (I feel that the answering service is fine ). Follow up with a email that is special and complete. I think you'll be happy.
That was our experience. Were amazing, working really hard and efficiently with perfect effects and no chitchat, at a price which didn't seem out of line. That is why they get five stars from me.
The notes . They got me on the program for the next Monday and called back on Friday afternoon. Very quick. He did not seem to appreciate pleasantries, although plumber showed up on time. But okay, that is fine, just fix my pipes and we are going to be good.
I just had to warn you with this one although I am not mad about leaving poor reviews.
1. Showed him the tub spout, he looked at it for 5 minutes and said"I can not do that, I am 70 years old, semi-retired, and have had several operations on my hand and shoulder." OK, let us look at number two.
2. Showed him the toilet faucet handle. He said"what type of faucet is that?" (it is nothing exotic Moen, Delta or here, a bathroom sink faucet in the big box store or something undoubtedly). Looked at it for a moment and announced he doesn't have the parts for it and can not tell what brand it is but it likely came from Lowe's or Home Depot.
They * might * be able to help you, Should you require something simple done fast. But when they decide from a tub spout and toilet faucet fix, it is hard to say what they *wouldbe up for.
Can't recommend. I predicted with 3 issues. 1. Tub spout needs replaced. 2. Bathroom sink faucet handle demands repaired (water will not close off). 3. An entire bath has water pressure.
Now I realized he wouldn't possibly be up for handling an entire toilet with no water pressure so we mutually agreed I should look to have my very basic plumbing needs met elsewhere.
Service that is outstanding, Quick. Very professional. Quick phone back and fast to come out and fix my sink that is and drains. Reasonably priced.
Fantastic service overall, highly suggested.
Timely installation at a good cost.
I wanted a new water heater. They took care of it immediately and for and came by the following day. They replaced my water valve immediately, and they responded within the hour, every time there came a leak up.
Mitch is available and gets issues resolved. Occasionally not actively responsive (e.g., you might call and they'll receive your message, but never react to you unless they're prepared to schedule something), particularly if you call the telephone number.
Mitch was also able to provide input on what could get fixed with the pipes and gave an estimate to me but wasn't high-pressure on needing to have it done, which is always valued.
Had Mitch and his crew in before this week and they did work for a affordable price. First crew member evaluated what he would need and showed up and his co-worker was waiting for his call to quickly get the substance and head over. I have gotten screwed earlier by crews charging me an hourly fee for them for what they'd need to go.
Mitch the Plumber did a fantastic job setting in a brand new hot water heater for us. Thanks Bob
Another Ann Arbor plumber known his business and Mitch.
On Friday, we called and talked to some person. This individual guaranteed to have a plumbing"technician" call us in the road and schedule an appointment to service our business' bathrooms.
Seems a shame that this business could not only call and say they were too busy to take our job.
Never got a call back. Nothing. Provide and we needed to call the business to another plumber and showed up immediately.
He was very respectful and with my tenants - they actually told me that he was awesome!
Mitch might be tough to get a grasp of and is a guy that is busy, but I still have nothing but fantastic things to say.
Grateful to have someone appearing over my property.
He arrived out free of charge on *twoseparate events to inspect a water heater at my rental house in Ann Arbor, and he was able to work together with my tenants to install a new hot water heater AND install a new faucet that was leaky. I didn't need to buy the faucet beforehand - he charged me a fair cost and took care of everything for me.
The plumbers came out, started working on the backup and they detected the older sump pump wasn't working properly, so had them replace the primary as well... sadly, on the water backup system they had been missing a part, so for this trip, they replaced my primary, they came back five days later and installed the backup system... through the entire period, they were very professional, informed me of all the things they were doing and showed me how the new system worked.
I don't have to worry if it rains... I used to go downstairs if it rained, but no longer!
Needed to substitute our battery managed backup pump system (which died a few months ago) and after googling around, found their information... call up them, asked them just how much the water established backup system would cost, got the quote and made the program.
Called Mitch this morning in regard to a bathroom that was leaking and was told someone would be out to our house around 3:00 pm today (8/31/15). After 11:00 pm and not only did no one show up in our house, it is, we did not even deserve a telephone call to say that they couldn't make it. I also called and left a message in approximately 4:45 pm. This isn't the first time we have called Mitch, he's always come out however it is going to be the I guess he is yet to learn your company is just as good as your reputation. My advice to anybody call somebody else.
This inspection is really for Mitch's call back coverage....It's bad!!!
Is state they are too busy and return a call, although I am not positive if my problem was too small / too big/not worth his time.
Everybody wishes to use the"small regional guy", but if they don't do the basic things such as returning messages, I will just proceed to the larger corporate companies!!
I wish I could examine his job, but I never got the chance!
I failed to receive a call back, after having a message through the work day about my non-emergency plumbing issue.
I had two experience with them so far. Once about 5 decades back, a man came over to fix my sewer line, which was performed. However he said let the house, and he had to get some part, and billed me for his time. I had a taste at that moment.
I called them recently for water pressure tank replacement, and they promised to call on Monday to come out, but not hauled back to me. It would appear that there are quality gaps in plummers working for Mitch. And it seems that they have a lot of turn over in that followup communication is feeble, or are either quite active.
It is hard for me to recommend them for emerging plumbing problems due to their communication issues, and for work that is non-emergent, it's a little bit of risk to have a better plumber to emerge.
This company was fantastic! They have been prompt, courteous answered my worries along with telephone calls and seemed to be fairly priced. My problems included some water and Mitch made a special trip to come out to explain the situation to the claims adjuster which made the entire process. I got some recommendations for the work that needed to be done from the plumbers. I will call Mitch another time and highly recommend him !
The water heater burst last Thursday night (way sooner than I had hoped!) And I went away so I phoned Mitch back on Friday afternoon, hoping to wait till the next week for a replacement and at a higher price than the original estimate. Gary, another team attorney, took my call, although mitch was not accessible. He ordered to have while he retrieved a fresh water heater, his helper come to start removing the unit. The unit was installed within an 2 heaters. In addition, Gary substituted a feed valve which certainly needed to be substituted and customized the port in my utility room. Total price was $835 less than I had feared. I highly urge Mitch the Plumber.
Mitch was spoken to by me a couple of weeks back since I suspected that I would need to replace my 26 year old water heater. We discussed my options and he estimated that it could cost between $750 and $900, depending on what option I selected.
The tech that came out (maybe not Mitch) was educated and during in his evaluation of the pump and informing us of our alternatives. He'd use language, which I found to be unprofessional and unnecessary as the other reviewer noted. In the end, we determined it was time for a new pump, that was set up.
We recently called Mitch the Plumber to talk about repairing and diagnosing a sump pump which refused to shut off. Talked to Mitch himself and he had been quite clear about choices and the possible causes and on the range of cost - from $75 for a visit and adjust $375 for a pump with installation and necessary pieces. $25 away Yelp discount was offered. Scheduling was elastic and they came out to take a look, which we valued.
Overall, a good experience for the knowledgeable and prompt service, but I would have preferred not to go back and forth to have the expense to be what was agreed. The error was corrected with no disagreements and quickly.
The issue was that the invoice. It did not contain any details as well as the write up said"Install new Sump Pump and Check Valve. $375. I was not paid the entire $375 amount. Perhaps there was some misunderstanding, as the tech who did the work was not the individual I scheduled and approve the costs with. The good news is when Mitch was spoken to by me he consented to the understanding we had and we received a check for the $25 from the mail.
Mitch is polite, capable, and nice. Great rates too! 5 stars!!!
I had a Fantastic experience with Kevin and Craig from Mitch the Plumber. They fixed a slow emptying, eliminated an old pipe and installed a new one, ran to the store to recover a far better fitting bathtub fixture (because we purchased the wrong one!) , installed it, and appeared all. I use them again and would definitely refer them to others!
They had been on time, really efficient, and gave me a price which I thought was honest.
Thats a big red flag. A firm that is reputable does not dismiss paying clients. In the event that the job can't be taken by you on or are too busy, let the customer know.
It looks like I'm not the only individual that has had the exact same problem with this company, it appears to be a common problem with their customer service/communication.
I called a different plumbing business and they had been out over a week and did the job for me the exact same day. Deal with a business that treats clients as a burden when there are plenty?
I called 2 other local plumbers (during business hours), and got voice mails. I left a message at a single but didn't receive a return call. The phone was answered by mitch and came over within the hour. He managed to replace our broken hot water heater and from the time I got home that afternoon I had warm water! Was quite pleased. Would use him again and recommend him to anyone.
We had a toilet, also called a couple of places. In other areas, I either got a voice mail (did not leave a message), or they were sending somebody out hours from when we predicted (I called at 9:00 am). Mitch answered the phone , and came out within 30 minutes (or not even)! We had it fixed within the hour of calling him, and I'm now on my way into another appointment I have for the morning. He isn't only fast, but also very friendly as well. Highly recommend him!
