I duplicated a secret it does not work. Only costs 2.3 bucks in 3 minutes. Great!
Got my VW golf key duplicated here, less than $20. Great Support
1 word: AWESOME! I went in to get one of my car keys. I had. I called them up and they gave me a price of just $2.00 but stated they could not guarantee that the secret would work because I had been brining in my very own sterile key. I tool the risk, went and it actually took just like what 3 mins for them to cut it and return and they charged only $2.00. Wow, that's inexpensive and fast! Other shops gave me estimated of around $40 for cutting the key.
I could not be more happy. I WOULD GIVE THEM 10 STARS IF I COULD. THEY ARE THE BEST!!!
Using a racing heart, I walked into my car, opened the door with the key that was new! It worked! Next I began ignition with the new key (took me a while to find the car started as I needed to hold the processor in the old key near the ignition key slot) and voila! My car began.
I was somewhat tentative there might be Yelp inflation - what kind of locksmith gets many five star reviews?
Wish I could write more but I was at the shop for less than 5 minutes with other clients. Three guys behind the counter insanely fast and effective in what they do in a nominal price. No wonder this place survives on Castro Street.
When I went for some bent keys and copies, it was fast and a sub-$5 price tag. For fixing my bent keys, I didn't even get charged!
*~*It's like walking into the Italian Occupation cirque 1970s*~*Highly recommend for demands and the general entertainment.
Walking into the shop is like stepping back into time although I have not used these men to get anything. Who'd have believed a lock store would be so much fun!
From wall to wall, locks, keys, safes, gagets and gizmos.
They did a great job. Easy to use and no issues. The quality of work and service is exceptional and they have the job done at an efficient manner, provided a number of value added tips and improvements, and were reasonable in their pricing. Thank you for a great job! They changed three locks and door knobs and aided update some parts in my door.
Friendly and efficient service, powerful work. Can 100% recommend!
Desired a copied. Was in then out with two brand new operational keys in three minutes. Street parking was a breeze (I parked on Villa round the corner of this Villa & Castro). The two keys cost $4.24.
Hooray! Now I won ROTD in the Peninsula region! Check it out:
Talking of ROTDs, I'm approaching my third season as a Yelper today, and I am coming to think more and more that the key to Yelping bliss isn't necessarily PM performance on the Yelp smartphone programs. Do not get me wrong - I would take that if I could get it, but if I could name a brand new feature to add within the next Yelp software rollout, what I'd like to see is a check-box for every friend/follower that let's me get a telling when that person wins an ROTD. This could be something similar to the current feature that lets us indicate if we would like to acquire check-in notifications for a user.

Were it not for the minute wait, this could have been a five star experience. I might have given five stars when we came in that we would have to wait or return later, when we had been advised to them. Still, when they did the job, we had no complaints regarding the price tag or the quality, so Igive them three stars, and'll say the line was still AOK.
I took my Droid and starting taking pictures to pass the time...
The staffer came out again, after we had been waiting for more than twenty-five minutes; now she asked what we needed, then took the key and obtained on making the copy, the locksmith began. She indicated we bring the car when the backup was completed, so he could attempt it. We got the vehicle and went, and it took for us to repark it, the backup has been completed, and it worked perfectly!
While we are on the topic of secrets, I assisted my pasta-crazed compadre negotiate the last deal on her first"new" car a while ago - a 2007 Mazda3 very similar to the 2012 model I purchased last year. Her car was in excellent condition, but it only came with a single crucial, so the first thing I advised her to do was have it replicated. Like many cars, the keys for your Mazda3 have an embedded computer chip and can not be copied without specific equipment. I have read horror stories. I struck Yelp, and it directed me into Mountain View Lock & Safe Co.. They quoted a cost of $70 to copy a car key using an embedded computer chip.
We figured we would kill two birds with one stone - my PCC and have the new key and I moved out to celebrate her new wheels. Given the locksmith was in Mountain View, she picked Vaso Azzurro (her favourite restaurant on Castro Street) which happens to be on the opposite side of the very same block as the locksmith - sometimes, it is definitely better to be lucky than good! We got there a half an hour before closing and there was no one in the store. There were no other customers in the store, so I figured we would be in and out fast. A staffer came out of the trunk once we came in, and said they'd"be with us in a moment".
Here a year ago I replicated a key, and the backup did not work. I thought it might be an issue with my key. I visited again lately with another original key and my door is opened by none of the copies. I waited for about 20 minutes for them to find a key sample that was right to generate the copy with, seems they picked the ones that were wrong. They just irresponsibly made some copies that would not operate although they should've let me know if they can not find any key that matches mine.
It didn't fit they replaced it and As soon as I came to find some spare keys no questions asked. When something didn't work good service. Greatly appreciated.
We receive a piece of machinery which had a key switch with no key and a bit of the crucial inside of the lock. I managed to remove the broken bit but I needed Mountain View Key and Lock support managed to create me a new key for a reasonable price. My needs were tended to by A lady. I recommend them if you have a lock or key problem.
These people could have overcharged me to get a thing that was simple, but did not. They charged me $ 5 to the key whenever they might have charged me to start the box and much more to make a key and found a small key to match a box I was trying to start. That.
Honest location, great. So refreshing.
After a bike ride, my door opener stopped opening the doorway and stopped light up. The battery altered , but it nevertheless was not light up, so it wasn't even tested by us again, we brought it here hoping to buy a new one and have it programmed to the same frequency. They told us it was sending out a sign, although that the light was not working for some reason, so we should try it one more time prior to spending our money.
This is a location that is wonderful. It is where our property managers recommend we get our garage door openers that are digital.
Get information and I went into the store to shop for locks. Danny took the time to reply my million questions concerning how best to secure my property and was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Then Hector came to my house in order to locks. He was nice and knowledgeable. He took the time to spell out everything including showing me in his van how there is a lock rekeyed. The price was exactly as quoted. Their labor rate is $60/hour less costly than a rival in Los Altos. I couldn't recommend them enough.
These men wish to be sure everything works before state and are so professional. I moved to cut car key and it didn't work for couple of occasions but he asked me to bring car and ensured it functions fine..he was polite and patience and wanted to find job done 100%...
Things which are downtown are usually overpriced and overhyped.
I had them come rekey my mailbox and they have been speedy and reasonably priced. I had keys. Very nice people and a store.
Sometime I'll have to have a look at the museum next door.
Given service and the prices together with the fact that they're a family business, I would pick them within a chain daily!
Been going to Safe and Mountain View Lock for many years but didn't realize they made house calls.
We had a sliding glass door that stuck and their mobile van was sent by them into my location. They now the door functions just like new and adjusted the rollers.
They made some secrets whenever they were there. Fantastic support!
Great support. Obtained a duplicate key made in 5 mins, for $5. Very men and women, no service.
I went to receive a copy of the doorway key. They were fast (two minutes), precise and not expensive at all. An extremely satisfied customer.
Great!
I needed a key copy after one failed attempt in store. Thank you, your copy works amazing! Seriously you made it fast which machine in store:)
Cheers,
Sergio
You rock!
