My new house in maryland wanted since the owner had given them out to people 24, new keys and locks created. Payless Locksmith was called by me and they gave me a price hired them. They came on program to my house and did a GREAT job for the price I was told by them.
DO NOT CALL - AVOID this Firm. I profoundly regret until I read the testimonials calling them. 20 minute arrival time was really an hour. As in one - I was locked out. Felt just like a hostage since the tech kept piling on the fees. $275 for the Lockout service that consisted of 60 seconds of drilling my old lock - demanded no time without a"locksmith skills". $95 for the replacement lock ($25 at Home Depot). And then the tech wanted to charge $55 labor. I balked loudly and that he eliminated the charge admitting to being late to the call. And the"Convenient low cost for the service call $15. That is the only thing recorded on their ad online. Still a $334.00 nightmare.
SHADY.A search on Yelp revealed what I suspected. This location is a TOTAL SCAM.
My wife and I had been locked out late at night and dialed the initial locksmith. They are very nice on the telephone and receive someone out you away, don't worry. All that was wrong was that people had the wrong secret but he insisted the lock was busted and drilled off it for $275.
AVOID!I locked myself. These things happen to individuals. But $300 to substitute a lock is all rape out!
A locksmith was dispatched to my residence and came about 30 minutes after I called. I was told by the operator it'd be a $29 service charge and everything depended upon that. Upon entrance, the technician explained that it'd have to be drilled away for $169 and $89 for a fresh deal. Oh let's not forget the tax! Hell, I did receive a follow up call to tell me that my payment had been processed. Overall it wad a grand total of $289 and while I'm fortunate to have a job, I will have to write this off learned. Because I swear that I feel voilated from those 19, one of those lessons is to find a locksmith!
