I coped a toilet after an internet company did some damages while installing equipment to the roof.
My thoughts would be my boyfriend and I had been the ones having the toilet and perhaps he didn't like the fact? I can't really figure out this whole situation.
Mark was bad with communication, showed up in my house on the wrong date before we had the opportunity to get the paint, then kept me waiting over two months just (he explained he had been booked up the whole month of June) to finally return my call telling me he is not doing the job and to obtain a new seller. He was very rude to me on the phone both times we spoke telling me he did not work for me but for the internet business and telling me to check my mails - of which I did; we'd no confirmed date (also attached to review).

We had some beautiful, paneled doors within our carriage house that started to rot out. Mark did a fantastic job fixing them (so we did not need to buy new ones). This entailed substituting and dis-assembling the molding and panels, redwood bits cut . I think that the doors may be in better shape than when they were fresh! I would whole heartedly recommend Mark you want. He's very professional, skilled, knowledgable and does top notch work.

Mark is a true pro, and individual. He gave advice and referrals for a complicated issue to me.

The guy's a total scumbag. I was totally disrespected by the man in my home. Walked right in without taking his sneakers off. Won't listen to me when I requested him to leave and had to call the authorities. Apparently he had talked to the landlord who told him I was a pain in the ass for asking him to fix my shower door! When I pay the rent I don't care its my home. He began to correct the shower door and just walked into the toilet would not answer or talk to me. But he dropped it came and put a dent on the bathtub. Then he told the owner that it was there. Later on I heard him tell the owner that I was crazy and I should be evicted by him. I think he out of his demeanor!

Mark saved our kitchen sink!! It was getting pretty gross since it was clogged (the incinerator/garbage disposal wasn't functioning ) and it wasn't draining any water, so whenever anyone used itbecame like a swamp (green and oily because pesto sauce was inside it). I'd used buckets to transfer water in the sink. He asked me what my difficulty was, recognized the problem, and gave me directions on the phone to fix it Though Mark was booked up for today. I'm thankful, he had been kind and his help has attracted my quality of living back up... Thanks Mark!!

Mark was useful, punctually and got a whole lot done in the two hours we worked together. I'm super glad I called him and would again if I wanted help. Recommend!

Mark is the man. He has meticulous attention to detail and is a specialist in his area, a craftsman. He went above and outside my house to ensure everything was done to the maximum standard and kindly pointed out in which there was room for advancement in the future.
Now for the part that is wonderful. He was on time, worked days, and did not call it quits until everything has been done. Truly a man of his word and an all around good guy. I look forward to getting Mark be my go to guy for maintaining this older 1905 Craftsman home.
He's also a bit of an historian, and was able to walk through my house pointing out when each and every inclusion was made. I discovered from him than I did throughout the entire home purchasing process.

Mark was extremely helpful! While he was likely to be off, he went so far as to come into my home on a moment's notice, and even took my call. Though we didn't get to use this time around to , he gave me warnings to subs that could answer my calls and program me in so that we can get any work done. Definitely wouldn't hesitate to offer him!

Mark rescued us from a chilly house of over 4 days. We sadly have a deadbeat landlord who let us move into your house without heating. And we have two little girls. Who does this??

After 4 days of our landlord ignoring our pleaswe called Mark to help us all out. He was in the house within a couple of hours and had the warmth running in almost no time.

I had had a water flow whose source was not clear. He came out with his extension ladder and checked that the gutter, which turned out to not be a problem (not obstructed, hallelujah!) . Took a look at the rot I'd discovered, deduced the source, and suggested a remedy for now, and also a fix for afterwards, exactly what I'd wanted.
It was only when he was packing his things which I realized what a huge load it had been, having my property is worked within by Mark.
I have lost too much sleep also it was solved by Mark . He also dealt well and calmly with my dogs, who decided he had been the bee's knees in the long run.
Frankly, I can't wait to have him back to address my myriad home ownership struggles. Mark's men and women that are great.
He made it done, but was happy to explain what he was doing and answer my own questions. He left the place clean and neat and was not jeopardized when I spoke of doing some home fix myself. Also, I was never talked down to by him. As a woman, this is enormous. It's hard without being treated like an idiot to obtain a fence board at Home Depot.

Mark and I in the last year have been in a position to work with every other / been in a position to provide each other work and when one of us are busy were able to provide the other person a bone. I had the pleasure to do a job for a customer recently for Mark since he had been a little too busy and that customer had nothing but excellent things to say about Mark and I just wanted to let other people know that he's a great guy and he would be a great alternative to me if you ever need work done.
I would like to say mark is a guy I've known him for ages. Consistently does work and glad to know him.

Mark is your handyperson for my mothers landlord. We were searching for someone to come outside and re-tile our bathtub within, and chose to give Mark a call. Mark asked us what we were looking to perform, but it was that he does not do this kind of tiling. He told my husband he sounded kind of desperate, which fit the bill since we are preparing to list our place available on the market. We told him that several committed"tilers" would not call back and which we wanted to get it done ASAP. He reccomended simply replacing the grout, and delivered us over to some other vendor (also on Yelp!) . We obtained the grout replaced, and the toilet looks FANTASTIC.
Not only was Mark honest about what he could/coudn't perform, he had been willing to send the job to somebody else and helped us out although there was nothing in it for him (at this moment!) . It is rare to find somebody ready to take the time to learn where you can be helped by them .
We'll definitely be calling (and undoubtedly reccomending) Mr. Gilman again to another job we need help with!

We haven't been completely happy with anyone hired to work on our house. Mark, however did work, provided fair pricing, and gave excellent advice too. He fixed a broken lover instead of replacing it for far more cash, and work. We'll be calling him soon again to get projects.

Mark never did some work in my house, but he did offer me an estimate -"$0" I had two contractors come out to quote"dry rot" mend out of a pest report. One contractor estimated up to $40,000! Mark came over, got underneath the house, analyzed it and informed me only some minor maintenance/ repairs needed to be achieved (which he proceeded to inform me how to do myself). Mark is an honest contractor that I will be calling in the future.

I had advice and aid on a few of my endeavors and known as in Mark and his staff at Alameda Home Repair. They came fixed it and out, explained my problem. They were clean, on time, neat and courteous and best of all very reasonably priced! I'd use Mark and the Alameda Home Repair team anytime and refer them to all of my friends and customers! Mark is awesome! I have had him to my house several times to help out with a number of maintenance issues and some stuff. He is honest, honest, knowledgable about all things-electrical, plumbing, carpentry etc. and very neat-senstive to your own preferences.
