Will definitely recommend to anybody that's currently looking for a fantastic firm that is professional. Tanner was quite considerate - asked before obtaining rooms before leaving and washed up perfectly.
I had what I thought was a leak in the slab. I'd gone through and turned off everything and the meter ticked along. I phoned my plumber and I was called by them to American Leak Detection. They arrived when they said they would, and Tanner started setting the equipment up and distributing the pipes from the floor. It led him directly to the toilet that was leaking I had neglected to test. It was not a leak in the chimney and $9 I had a replacement valve and what's good .

Very nice guys! They helped me resolve a problem and saved me $$$. Karma works.

Out Tanner is a magician, although the workplace needs some organizational help big time. Make sure you get an email confirmation when booking and it led to a good deal of confusion. They did an superb inspection, and their final accounts arrived within 5 days as expected.

STEAR CLEAR! I had my home for sale and needed to make sure I wasnt selling a house. They said they'd have a tech at my place by 9... didnt reveal til almost 11, only to say he wasnt prepared. Goes on to say he wishes to fire everyone he works with, trying to find the flaws by blaming it. . .This was the first red flag. But still I schedule them to proceed with the review, and say nice.
The following week they give me an 8-9 am coming. I called at 9 am when no on came. They could arrive between and said the tech was stuck in traffic. No one showed til 11:30!!! He was fine, and quite helpful. But the tardiness is unacceptable and unprofessional.
Fantastic news! No flow. But I needed the paperwork to verify. When I called to follow up, the man HECTOR, on the telephone, was rude. Everytime I called he had the shittiest mindset and no helpful info. The only time he had been"pleasant" was when he had been taking my card info on the telephone. Go figure! Strongly advise you to use someone else. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and regret it!
Not only are the telephone repetitions rude but they've been late every time they have been scheduled to meet me.

This company is ethical. If a situation warrants it I would use them. I can't speak about their work, but certainly recommend them according to my incredible encounter with them. They are trustworthy.
Brian was amazingly helpful in educating me and even supplying me referrals to trusted plumbers. He sent a extensive email summarizing our conversation to me.
That is a long overdue review.
I'd received a notification from the water company about a sudden spike in water use. American was discovered by me and called.
Actually, I didn't end up using them because the advice he provided expedited prompt and thorough servicing elsewhere, that saved me a great deal of money and time (and stress).

It seems like I'm not. He came to my home to work out a escape that others had not been able to find. He was very professional, kind and knowledgeable. Thank you Scott and I appreciate you as a human being that is superb but also as a technician.

It is an honor to promote this provider. I was amazed by their service and experience. I had been told the earthquake proofing I had completed was ruined by water damage. I didn't know where to turn. I predicted American Leak Detection. I ordered an inspection that I didn't understand. I named the organization. The owner of the firm came over and spent some time with me. He didn't charge me. He wanted me to believe I knew what I needed to repair the issue. This sort of concern and care is overriding in business today.

ALD was the company we brought in to assess a flow that is sub-floor, and I'm going to echo previous posts to build up Tanner's fan base. He arrived looking about 15 - 20 years younger than the other rivals' technicians and I confess I started off with an unfortunate prejudice for this. But then....wow. If you're inclined to a prejudice, drop it once you see him coming--he's a superhero. He might have schooled others. He discovered things that they had overlooked and that ordered some rather significant changes in the steps we need/ed to take. (The others confessed it.) Everyone at the company is likewise adept on evaluation, identification, and importantly! --communicating. Whatever the situation, should you get Tanner, you are getting the best.

Wow!!So, after we returned from Thankgiving journeys I discovered that while the house was cool that the floor was hot! WTF?? Called the insurance and they advocated and called American Leak Detection. David, day, came out. He left no mess behind and put on booties on his shoes.
Now.... On to repairs. UGH.
Back in the day to discover a leak there could have been such and jackhammering and digging, but that I know where my leak is AND what it sounds like and now, gadgets cool! The positives of a circumstance that is negative.
I would recommend ALD.
David was favorable with super great and my puppy . The leak was found by him under our slab. I must hear it. !! ( Hey if your going to have a costly issue, ya might too get to hear it). It had been much less obstrusive than expected.

Patrick and tanner are professionals who explained to us what happened during detection with our slab escape and whether it was being mended. Work was finished on time with no concerns or issues.

I must admit I was skeptical. But there was the escape! Grabbed glue and a few PVC fittings and had it eventually mended.
I had a 150' long x 1" PVC pipe leaking for several years. Finally gave up holes there and here. Scott came out in their own ALD truck. The first thing was that he gave me his card. Darn important. I've grown tired of contractors showing up in and with their business cards. He put his test equipment up and inside only a few minutes he announced that he'd discovered the leak.
Scott at ALD got it spot on, on-time and was professional.
Can not beat that

I am not happy. A licensed plumber managed to find the leak in 10 minutes despite being paid $150/hour for a total of 6 hours the geniuses at American Leak detection didn't find. What the geniuses at leak detection did find, which was not the targeted spot in my yard, but instead a leak in the refill to my pool. Their remedy to fixing this was a quote for $3,300.00 to jackhammer my pool . Fortunately after much pleading I managed to bribe their technician to just put in a sleeve for $175.00 which provided a robust fix for this issue. (I slid him $200.00 cash on the side). This saved trashing the pool . Did I mention the first 2 times they sent out a technician he wandered around the back yard for few hours scratching his head and analyzed NOTHING! (They did not charge me for this.) Way, way ended in February, that only needed a happy ending because of another companies brought into the discussion. Bruce

I had my uncertainty originally since after the first visit they were not able to find the exact annoying and prevailing flow in my own pool. This leak was occuring since I bought the house and began to wonder whether it was unfixable or would require rebuilding and draining the pool, which of course would be the worst case situation. Well after checking the skimmer, and all the pool and spa plumbing we waited through the autumn and winter to get Tanner to come back as he required the pool to be a certain temperture for him to dip the pool and also for the epoxy to set on a potential pool light leak. Finally in the spring we got around to it and it was. I wish I would have proceeded since its as with this step that is second. It simply takes a little patience but the more scientific strategy of American Leak Detection will narrow down the source of the issue finally or either immediately. Thank you guys, I doubted you but you found the source of the issue and fixed it so Im a satisfied client.

American Leak Detection is among those businesses that you expect you don't have to phone, but you're thankful once you're doing that they can be there. My insurance company sent out them to review a plumbing issue in an upstairs unit was was leaking in my own unit.
I had been blown away by just how professional, considerate and smart that their inspector - Tanner Cook Do not let his looks fool, you this guy is a pro. He had been thorough and explained everything. Very please. Fantastic firm.

Terrible Experience. AML finally connected our difficulty that was previous and refused to honor the guarantee. We paid the $395 for the inept assessment. Customer support, really inept service pros and let it be known that they won't honor their work. The print is exhausting so that they will need to cover ! A plumber that worked hard to fix a issue solved leak. AML are vindictive and rediculous. Unless an extremely clear problem I would not use this organization and if you do -be aware that if things do not go well they'll be negative assistance....actually will try to blame you!
The plumber awakened the concrete but was leery of a flow if there was zero signs of water. The pipes were nice and there was no leak. He stuffed it and we predicted AML. Well the guarantee said you have to dig 3 feet radius around the spot because he was convinced that it was not there, and the plumber only dug at 18 inches. The business would not honor their guarantee. So the plumber went back and dug up the 3 ft of concrete to reveal there was no escape at this spot.
Here's a review that is dual. 10 years ago ALD recognized an outside leak. We hired by capping the pipe, them to complete a workaround fix. Well the funny thing was that they didn't solve the flow and they capped the region of the irrigation that people needed to the landscape. HA! It was a catastrophe. Obviously we explained we didn't want because we had no faith in their procedures that were hokey them back to rack up more expenses and refused to cover. threatening a lean on the 12, they tried to frighten us but as soon as we talked court we never heard from them. We hired a plumber to use some creative engineering to allow us to hand the yard but only active when watering the yard to water. Fast forward a decade. We had to sell the house and hired a plumber to help us set up irrigation from the back yard. The plumber hired his escape detector since the flow now had to be addressed ernest. I cautioned him but he gave me another name. I met with the flow sensors and failed to notice before it was too late that it was AML again. The YOUNG guy finely settled under the cement where the escape was discovered by him on a spot and walked around with his headphones and listening device.

I had a leak in my kitchen counter that was causing the wood. Scott professional, came inside scheduled time frame and detected a faulty saddle valve at under 5 minutes. Good experience overall and would recommend their service. Thank you!

American Leak Detection has been came gave identified the escape and quote to repair. . .reasonable, fast, considerate, very nice to individuals to use. . .the BEST

After getting an extremely high PG&E and water bill ($300+ each) I decided to speak to a local plumber to check to get a water flow. This other company was very nice and very affordable, but I was not satisfied in their own"rough" estimate of where an actual leak may be found. I was told their escape detection could include breaking through the foundation of my toilet (where the sound of flowing water was slightly perceptible ). American Leak Detection as they've had experiences in the past was recommended by my insurance. I was happy I did! That the day an appointment was scheduled and the technician was able to rapidly locate the flow. He came armed with an infrared device which was able to pinpoint a hot water flow. Given my busy schedule I was unable to start work right away, but the technician made sure to adjust the water heater at the meantime (to stop the round-the-clock cycling). One week after, his apprentice and a seasoned plumber came by to fill out the job. They were terrific! They were great with my 2 dogs, made sure to minimize the mess due to the fix, completed within a reasonable amount of time, and walked me through what to expect. I highly recommend them and had a GREAT experience working with American Leak Detection!

My roommates and I will NEVER AGAIN CALL AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION. They invented we had water leaks and signaled where the leaks were detected. Both my contractors and 2 plumbers confirmed there were no leaks in the areas said by ALD. Every one the pros in leak and plumbing repair - not ALD - tried desperately to find leaks to give me peace of mind-none were found. They reasoned they were done and asked multiple questions regarding the procedures used by ALD and flows in the specified areas would not be possible to find via the ALD methods used. In walls, holes were cut due to the diagnoses of ALD and bathroom repairs were done unecessarily. Waste of money and time .
Recommendation: If you ever get desperate enough to predict ALD, always have your plumber and/or builder present to ask their own questions. Mark my words, you don't want to undergo the waste of time and money by telephoning ALD. If you're feeling desperate, call another firm, your plumber(s), and/or contractor(s) - even a handyman to start the ball rolling. Most importantly, listen to your gut before, during, and after the ALD trip. And, as our contractors told us, a reason is ALD states they will find a leak in a period that is particular - they will invent one to promise a leak is found! After a leak is found, VOILA they will need to charge you full price! Scam job!!

Terrible experience. Because I had a flow, I called them. I'd the bucket test and it showed I had a flow. I phoned out them and they said there was no escape 9 months after my swimming pool is leaking. I called to let them know and see whether they would come out and examine for less than the 400. They said no complete cost. Why would I ever use them. Need to find out about client service. Pool business is accomplished by referrals. I will make sure that everyone knows to not work with you.
