Service was great!! I called that he and Ed showed up in under 30 min. We needed our leaky broken tub faucet he was reliable and got the job done! I would suggest Ace Plumbing.

I called several plumbers in the region, and they quoted my 300 -$375 to install a"smart bathroom". Only caveat was that none of them could come for a couple weeks, and that I needed the job. I had the electric socket put by my plumber, so what was required was to take the older basic toilet out and set up the new one.
I called him out, before he left. He said he did not know what I was talking about, as he sheepishly looked down and avoided making eye contact. I made him come with me upstairs to have a look at the scratches, and he said"oh, that is just ceramic dust out of the toilet."
Two months after, I finally got his brother in law (Rob) to come outside to assess the damage. Rob is kind, and has been frankly appalled that Ed damaged the flooring. Rob said he can't buff the scratches out, and that many of my toilet might have to be sanded down 1/8" and also re-polished to repair the issue. That never occurred, although someone was supposed to get me about scheduling.
Nope. Sure was not. He attempted to say that marble was SO HARD rather than scratches. As marble is just about the most finicky, delicate substance clearly this man has never possessed anything with marble there is.
My next mistake was letting him do this job. He straps to move the bathroom upstairs that is next and did not have the equipment, so he wouldn't hurt them and that I needed to assist him carry/move it. I thought he would be OK after he made it upstairs, since he had it on wheels to transfer it to the bathroom. WRONG. Therefore was I! He RAKED the bathroom across my new polished Carrera marble floors and scratched the flooring SO BADLY it can't simply be buffed out. Because he so f -- ed the flooring like all the floors in the toilet has to be sanded down and glistening by 1/8 inch.
This was my error. Had I known he would charge $675 for a single hour of. Whether I used him or not I have to pay his support fee, so that I felt screwed no matter what. I'm also pretty certain he chose to charge me more because a) I am a lady and was alone in the home with a kid ( b) I reside in Burr Ridge, though I reside in a shack compared 95 percent of the homes in the region.
That afternoon I messaged Ed to let him know two plumbers happily gave me price quotes over the phone at of the price I was charged by him. I believe that the real issue here is that he feels entitled to charge maximum Union rates to get a tiny potatoes residential job which doesn't warrant this rate, although he said that wasn't accurate. I also told me that he should not do job with heavy items since he clearly is unable to lift heavy items, and it was unprofessional to allow him to f -- k up my flooring so badly. He replied and said he would not take my"verbal abuse" and his brother in law would be calling to put something up.
Because this batched install took place it has now been around THREE MONTHS. My floors is still damaged, and because this is just poor business practice I'm going to explore taking action for damages.
When he gave the price quote to me I was somewhat astonished. But there was something about him that borderline made me fear for my safety if I declined on the spot. He said he promised he also did a lot of groveling that I would care to overlook, and did outstanding work. It was a very uncomfortable situation I never want to experience.

By using Ed to complete a bathroom install I essentially got screwed. That is why.
He finally owns up to the reality he totally screwed my floors, and states"the brother in law does tile. I will have him fix this at my cost." He composed on the invoice he made me the flooring repair at his cost.
Problems: unresolved after 90+ days
I called Ed on a Friday at ACE Plumbing, and he said he can come from the next. This should've been my first clue to not use him, because he was available. I requested him to provide an overall cost quote for the task to me, and he declined to do so over the phone. That would be put on the job complete, although he said he charged a $125 service call to come out to provide a quote.
No word about getting my floors fixed, A month later.

Business, what sets Ace's plumbing and Sewer is they are efficient and care. I was helped by ed our sewer fix and finished the job faster than we expected and lent us lower compared to our previous plumber. Would definitely recommend

Was told there was possible tree roots and quoted $900 a floor drain in my basement to rod. We had standing sewer in the area. Ed came in with his rodder and within a matter of minutes the drain opened , no shrub roots. 54 minutes from the time he arrived until the time he abandoned and 10 minutes of this was real work. Spilled some germs on the floor and told us to disinfect and change the furnace filter. Was told that the $900 was absolutely absurd and called 8 plumbers after the job, ought to have been $275 at the most. BEWARE
