After a week of drain difficulties, waiting around for'men', and receiving messages saying,"the'guy' is running and blah blah blah..." I joined with Pipelines to fix what the drain men broke, and have been smiling all day. This was so easy! Chris came early, (in a nifty truck), explained the problem w/o being condescending, did the task, showed me the broken part she replaced and said she would send us an invoice. This is the antithesis of the plumber experience that is customary when we have future plumbing requirements, and we will call them.
Another gem in the community!
I suggest Pipelines with enthusiasm and, while we expect not to need them we're keeping!

Like it gets really! We had a major leak and an inconvenient time. Pipelines arrived we escaped major damage and averted a weekend. They are great!

DON'T USE THIS BUSINESS. Here's what happened: We got a quote from a plumber who works for them, but who had been too busy to appear and do the work on the side. We decided in the interest of time we'd go to Pipelines and see whether someone else could do the work. Meanwhile, a lot of matters went wrong as occurs with houses that needed a plumber.
Their plumbers are pleasant people, but is a control freak with business practices.
Plumber came out, but they refused to take the initial estimate, and wouldn't allow the plumber who had been there to do a new estimate. For ANY of this work. Apparently the owner is such a control freak she refused to allow him to stay to do a quote or the work. So, now they have lost a customer for life. Good going, there. There's lots of plumbers within this city to choose from, choose someone else.

This winter we had a pipe burst in the wee hours of a morning that is frigid and Chris came over asap. She was professional, thorough, knowledgeable and pleasant. Chris/Pipelines has a great reputation in our neighborhood and that's the reason we called her right away. We were fortunate to have her experience. We will call Pipelines again if/when the need arises!

I will not be moving for plumbing needs.
Heard them about out of my neighbor recently, and they came highly suggested. I am in complete agreement, and recommend them.
The people at pipelines are friendly, prompt, knowledgeable, and complete amazing!!

Include stars because I expect that it, unlike my mails and phone calls, will conduct an estimate from the company and I hope to update this review.
That has been almost two weeks ago, but that I had been assured by the end of the week, although the people seem educated, and respectful. There's been no answer to my requests to get an estimate.
I can't get an estimate for work, although I really wish to rate this company greater.
It suggests that the firm does not value your own business When it's tough to have a business to supply the estimate. Ok, maybe I'm small potatoes it is not a good fit.
Is it a prediction of the punctuality generally of the company? If this is so, no move.

The service tech was cleaned up after themselves and friendly. After she left that the neutralization media tube was never changed out, I realized. After I received a statement for $375, no extra parts were needed.
They have been around for awhile and likely have plenty of customers, so I suppose they're not in the business of maintaining any fresh ones. The hunt for a good plumber continues...
Kath might be a whole lot more friendly and stand even over the telephone, although I have no complaints regarding the technician that came out.
A lot was written on the job ticket, a lot of assessing and celebrating and vacuuming no real service, around items.
I called Kath these issues about both. She made me did set a while for it to be replaced and send in images of this still-dirty neutralization tubing. She was a lot less friendly during this telephone call than the telephone I had with her setup service a month ahead. She had no recollection of the conversation on cost. I figure it slipped her mind. She clarified they charge by the hour. I understand, don't chit chat with all the service tech. We must have chatted for a minimum of 30 minutes of this visit. Pretty pricey conversation if you want my opinion!

Was given an estimate of $150/hr however no estimate.
Bathtub needed a new part ($90) - clogged sink unable to be repaired (though I paid for the time of this plumber to tell me this) - from the time he told me we needed new components for your kitchen sink to flow the water (which I needed to cover his time to go buy the components, and cover the components without a quote ). . My bill was at $352. I asked the plumber to put it back how it was. I suppose plumbers are expensive however although with no estimate, a bill for $352 seems ridiculous to me.

Bonus is there are no"truck fees" or other nonsense to deal with here - that the job they do is exactly what they charge for, and the pain-in-the-butt a la carte charges I have gotten from other plumbing companies are nowhere to be seen. No nickels and dimes work besides that is nice, and here.
I enjoy saying that we have - whether it were just that easy with a number of the other transactions!
I have called on Kath, Kevin and the Pipelines crew over a few times, and they are as good as it gets - they treat me with respect, they know what they're doing, and they are alright with working within a budget. Can't recommend them highly enough on most that.

I have used Cath and her staff in my home over the past couple of decades for plumbing problems. They respond quickly, constantly educate me about my pipes, resolve the matter, and provide accurate quotes for the job. This plumbing firm is strongly recommended by me.

Chris loves what she does and has been plumbing longer! She understands modern strategies but also has the strength of background with the transaction. You can have confidence in endurance and her skill level. Insight and her elegance are unparalleled.

So wehad to rearrange our schedule to find another plumber in prior to the vacation, and've booked somebody else. That'll teach me to wait on somebody once you actually need the service.
I would give zero stars if possible. This firm was dreadful to respond to phone calls. Kath came recommended to me by a friend (who admittedly knew her from circumstances out using her as a plumber) and that I dropped the buddy's name and still couldn't receive a response. I called myself back and then waited to get a call got somebody on the phone who said she'd speak with the scheduling individual right now and return to me and it has been 24 hours and still no response.

I was happy with my service from Pipelines. They had been to my home earlier to get a"consult" that they didn't charge me and now returned after I had had a bad experience with another plumber. The issue was resolved and most importantly, explained . I truly appreciated that Kath seen that part of her job was to educate me on the procedure and what she didn't resolve the issue.
The fee has been fair and I didn't think exorbitant for the professionalism and service.

Although I didn't have any service performed by Pipelines, they helped a support call is preempted by me by operating an issue for me email - for free. I love their honesty in helping me determine whether their services were genuinely needed. A honest company will have charged plumber rates for an issue that didn't warrant a plumber at the first location.

This may seem like hyperbole, but I suggest it - Pipelines are the top pipes in Boston. They have fixed many different things in my previous house (furnace, tub, sink, radiant heat). They request images, do research, come and fix everything without leaving one hanging. More than once, they've talked me. I feel blessed to have discovered them.

Where great. I highly suggest them. Chris was really responsive and helpful . She explained the matter but provided advice on the best way to take care of the problem. I will definitely be calling them again.

While trying to repair a different part of my toilet today I managed to break a part of my toilet. In a panic, I called Pipelines, Inc. and left a message. Chris called me and had me email her some images. When she phoned again to discuss, she told me)"it is not nearly as dreadful as I thought it had been," and 2) that she'd be happy to come back and mend it, but that I could probably fix it myself. (note: I am not that handy, but I passed the phone to my friend, now to be referred to as Wonder Woman, and Chris gave Wonder Woman detailed info on what to do.) Chris could readily have taken good advantage of this situation but she did not. She gave regarding replacing my toilet/bathroom reno some helpful guidance, along with free repair help, also had been patient. The only reason I did not give five stars was because she did come to my home to perform the repair. Next time I need a plumber, I'll be calling Pipelines, Inc!

Had a main line leak in basement mended. Pipelines were quick to fix and diagnose , and showed up within an hour. Extremely pleasant experience (everything considered!) , also would recommend without reservation. Courteous and friendly.

4) Some time later, one of the Pipelines plumbers parted ways with Pipelines. Pipelines was kind enough to send us a letter of recommendation with this particular person! They were so proud of the work this plumber did that they wished them in writing the best of luck they also supported this person to their clients. How many businesses do you know that require that additional step?
1) Before we bought the bathroom, as we were scheduling the visit, the person on the phone explained what we had to know before we bought the bathroom from Home Depot. She let us know how to tell a good bathroom from one that wasn't worth the money. She also explained how to measure to get the best match.
What I love about them:
2) Our plumber not only perfectly punctual and professional, she also took the opportunity to describe how everything operates. She pointed out that even though our bathroom was a fixture that was decent, it wasn't installed properly. In her years of experience she had never seen such an install that was awful - it's amazing we were not having troubles. She also referred us as it was not the fault it was really so bad of that toilet, we could send our bathroom - and we really wanted the new one installed.
3) Our new bathroom works amazingly well. Absolutely no issues and it has been about a year. Not a clog!
We had to replace our bathroom because it had been so wimpy and Pipelines did a phenomenal job- I would recommend them. Seriously, I have already referred friends and folks in my condo.

Well, Pipelines did appear, but Chris didn't. Our neighbors said to make certain to schedule but she was busy. This is unsatisfactory, but fine. He was rather nice, and useful, on time, practitioner, listened to our concerns, agreed to draw up our quote --then we've never heard from them. Ever. I wouldn't ever recommend them.
I called Pipelines at the end of July 2010 about getting a quote done on a few sump pumps for the cellar (flooding problems in the spring) and also for a few outdoor faucets being set up to water our backyard. Spoke with Chris who said she went on vacation, but advised us August 12th, I think. We were very excited as we needed to do this and we'd had basement companies come in and quote us 8K - 15K to prevent flooding.
