Than I managed to get at Cabelas, I got of an instruction in the workers and purchased a gun vault from Kats. Their costs were also comparable to this boxstore that is significant , in spite of the levels that are higher quality. Came from a different area locksmith who didn't have the type of vault I was looking for. Only 1 recommendation was offered by him. . .Kats Keys.
Vintage business storefront located in downtown Saint Paul. Kats appears to be family managed and a number of the family members may be known than others for their customer service, but all of these were willing to assist, and so were knowledgable.
When we moved in my wife and I have used them. We were able to make copies of our secrets no issue. However, when I went today at 11am to make duplicates for our cat sitters, the guy who reached the counter looked at me and then my keys and said"I require a letter of authorization". I have never had to demonstrate letter of authorization, and explained I have made copies together in the areas. He says nothing and just says I require a letter. Neither was a"Do Not Copy".
Because it had been an hour before close Seems like someone was too lazy. Never using them!
Boo! Guy:"that's plenty of keys."
Us:"okay, but why does it cost $65 for just one key - it's not a FOB plus it's not electronic"
Guy 2:" It's $65"
Eventually, another guy stepped out from a rear room and asked if we needed assistance. He wasn't looking at us so my friend asked," do you mean me?" , he nodded and looked at us. We we needed 2 copies, handed over the key and moved to the counter. He proceeded to inform us it'd cost $65. Due to the metals inside, was. It took all my power to not laugh. This wasn't a FOB, this was a KEY with PLASTIC about it. Precious metals? We asked what kind of metals.
Guy 2:"because it's electronic parts. . . "
Woman:"Oh we give them and give them away."
Maybe they know more about safes and locks instead of keys, but I won't be going here once I can go to Home Depot and get my key duplicated for $5.99.
Guy:"what can you do with all those keys which people don't claim?"
This place is great to sight but not so good to get a car key. I wonder what it'd cost to get my house key. It probably would be $30.00 because of the simple fact that it can tell the time or something.
Us:"why is it 65"
My friend and I walked in here to find a key for her 2000 Toyota Camary.
Guy two:"the metals and the electronic parts start the car"
We chose the back and abandoned. What on earth was he talking about? This is a KEY not He-Man's Master of the Universe power-sword inside using all the power of Greyskull. L found it somewhat odd that they did possess a million secrets hanging out in the store.
Us:"so why does it cost $65?"
They simply couldn't be bothered by the fact that we had just walked in the store and continued their conversation regarding keys:

Great local spot to get keys made. We have never had problems with the keys made here. The service has been good. We have used them a few times
