I am a affordable person if it's something I can get by without. I have an extremely old Accord along with the key with the key fob handle broke a couple of years back. But not wanting to invest money getting it fixed, I simply used my valet key with a distinct key fob. The battery in the key fob I was using died but instead of replacing the battery, I simply used my valet key and opening the back using the back release lever (yes--I'd unlock my car with the valet key and go to the driver's seat just so I could open the back when I had no motive to get inside the vehicle ). And my back release gave out a single day. And I had no way to start the back! (I can use the original key and I did because I had stuff in the back I had to get out ASAP). Nevertheless, it was a little awkward with all the handle broken off and get a car key that is working and I decided to become an adult.
Disclaimer: I did not shop around to find the best price. I checked their site and they provided they had great Google testimonials and what I had. So I can not comment on their competitive pricing.
When I looked online to find out what places provided what I needed, so that's --receiving the key and replacing the battery in the key fob that is original. I found pictures on Carolina Key's site that resembled my keys so I got an answer saying that I would need to call in order that they can order the necessary parts and sent an email.
So I called and it turns out they could not attach the key but purchase a brand new key fob and cut the key that I have. They left me an appointment for the Durham place, gave me an estimated delivery date, and placed the purchase for me. They told me to bring everything I had (aka all of the broken parts). After I went into the store, I did not need to wait any and was outside the door in 15 minutes. All this procedure took under a week and a little under $70. The price probably depends upon which vehicle you have and other variables, but all having in all and from the space is worth $70 to me and I wish I had gotten this done!

I needed fob and an extra key for my automobile. A Google search helped me find Carolina Key. Matt managed program them for my truck and to dictate the key/fob. We then started discussing accessories--side rails and mattress cover. I opted to purchase them from Matt and shortly they were installed in my truck. Matt is helpful, very knowledgeable, and informative.

THE POINT OF THIS REVIEW IS GET THE QUOTE IN WRITING AT LEAST VIA EMAIL. So I know all the good reviews, at first Myles and Matt were super fine. If anything goes awry, Nonetheless, it's a different story. Firstwe purchased keys for 2 cars. The charge was $150 for 2 keys and $100 for each automobile site visit (to come out to the home and even though the two cars were sitting together at precisely the exact same driveway). We paid $500 beforehand. When they came outside, 1 pair of keys did not work (Accord). Afterward we discovered a key to this Accord, therefore we did not need two keys one. We said that we would come in and avoid the fee for coming out and asked about getting two remotes rather. Matt said they we could get remotes and also the gap would be $100. I assumed he would repay me the difference when I came in. Myles was there and then asked me to PAY $100 As soon as I took the car in 2 remotes and to pick up the key. I explained that I paid $250 and I brought the car in, instead of needing a home visit. Matt tried to achieve Myles to explain, but was not able to do so. I picked up one crucial and one distant. He explained when he returned Myles would hit out. Myles explained I owed him $100 and the remotes were expensive and predicted. He cut me off and got belligerent although I tried to clarify my understanding of our arrangement. I informed him I wasn't going to argue that I simply wanted to clarify my understanding. I was hoping to offer you a compromise given the fact as well as the misunderstanding that he nor I or neither had any written quotation or arrangement. He wouldn't let me clarify. I tie him I would arrive in. I wrote my understanding down and moved into the office. Matt said is that yours and picked it up. I said yes and I needed him to clarify my understanding. Without reading it, he explained he knew my position, he wasn't going to read it, I might have it back or it would only throw away, which he did, tossing it into the garbage can right afterward. There must be areas that can provide customer support that is decent and keys, and I guess I'll fins them send people that way.

Let me state with over 100 Testimonials, I Have only given a 1 star only 5 times... and a Few of the I upgraded after the Seller acknowledged they were wrongAfter get precisely the exact same key, and his failure I have to visit the Jaguar dealer
Blames my automobile on his failure....he is supposed to be the specialist on Jaguar keys....got the keys and cut on them could not program them to my car... and blames my automobile on his failure....the idiot even forgot to put a battery in each fob...
THIS GUY IS A RIP OFF ARTIST....DO NOT USE THIS GUY IF You've Got A EUROPEAN CAR....HE WILL FAIL and BLAME Your Vehicle.
Fees me $800 for two keys, informs me that the trader is over $1500...
DO NOT PAY FULL PRICE UP FRONT, AND I RECOMMEND YOU BUY YOUR KEY FOBS FROM THE DEALER OR ONLINE... AS for programming your own keys....good luck....and make sure he buts a battery in it
Since I could not do ZERO stars, I GAVE HIM A 1 STAR

NOW WATCH, the idiot would blame me and my automobile....isnt he assumed to know??? Even requested for a refund... he said NO... would you promote something or do a ceremony, that fails, and charge somebody?

Quick, friendly, economical substitute electronic keyfob - price 40% less than what the Dealer was going to charge. Highly recommend.
