I have a pair of nice (somewhat expensive) Italian-made chelsea boots and I went on to see Angel because the leather soles had started to wear through and the heels were rapidly wearing off. Angel was simply terrific. He had been friendly, easy to talk to, and quite clear about the various options I needed to repair the boots. He also replaced the heels and front part of the chief soles and while I was somewhat skeptical that rubber would seem good on the boots, they ended up looking FANTASTIC! Angel really cares about the quality of his job and obviously has a fantastic attention to detail. I am pleased with my boots seem today. I can't suggest Angel's Shoe Repair exceptionally
One suggestion -- call beforehand concerning the hours for Angel's shop. They vary a bit and he's sometimes open as late as 7 p.m.
Angel is wonderful! I took in my beloved Frye boots which were trashed on the bottom- hole in the ball of the foot, ripped/missing some. He was able to make them seem new again.
I would recommend him to anyone. He is good at what he can, moderately priced, and fair.
I cannot say enough good things. A real find in our neighborhood. Always resourceful and can help with almost all from rebuilding the fixes to hitting extra holes in your belt.
Raymond is the most friendly person you will meet. He does amazing work and can breathe fresh life into any dress shoes, boots, and other kinds too. Very. And he's honest. . .he is only going to offer you the work that needs to be done for the cheapest cost.
I have been going to Angel for several years. He is the cobbler at Seattle that can manage high end shoe fixes. I brought in a pair of Paul Smith boots and he made certain that he found a high excellent leather and billed me cost. Angel is skilled, friendly and trustworthy. Wish I could give him 10 stars.
Plain amazing! Both craftsman ship, cost, and customer support. First showed up when my bridal shower was Saturday after calling with a zipper on a Tuesday. Every tailor stated no way especially with the sort of zipper (imperceptible ) being busted. Not only did he fix and take within a day however billed pennies. I had 7 pairs of custom flower girl shoes arrive which didn't fit 1 girl. In 10 days away from wedding I rushed down to beam. Did he choose the work but literally did it 15 minutes before me on the place. 7 pairs of shoes!!! Again I showed up last second with a reception drown that Toms Tailors gave me estimate of $200 to remove 6" of tulle. Again he out did himself. Highly recommend not just his work, but his customer services. He has been in nonstop communication and has bent over backward to accommodate my requests that are bridezilla-ish. Due to my experience I will NEVER use another tailor mark my work. HIGHLY recommend!
Angel never disappoints in the quality craftsmanship or ideas for protect or how to fix shoes. Consistently recommend him to others and so happy that he managed to relocate to another shop to continue to supply his quality service! Highly recommend!
Hands down the best cobbler at Seattle. I took various cobblers trying to find somebody who could perform my shoes. Then I found Angel's Shoe Repair and I have been going ever since. His work lasts and lasts. He is hardworking honest, and quite capable. Bonus - he accepts credit cards! His new place is within the Family Arcade building (formerly the Capitol Hill Vet location).
I need to leave a review about the shoe repair place. First of all it is under construction, but don't let discourage you. I have a pair of boots that I adore. The owner took a look at them and advised me that he doesn't do zippers; nonetheless he had a trick for repairing the zipper in home... and it worked. I am saved 60-80 for a zipper replacement by his bit of information. It was a breath of fresh air to have excellent customer service. If I have shoe fixes I will return. I'm certain if I'd left a pair of shoes for him to fix I would have given him 5 stars.
Best shoe repair in town. Quality workmanship and pricing. Raymond was so pleasant and very honest. Told me exactly what pair of sneakers should not be repaired, not worth repairing. Going to recommend him.
I missed this place, because I didn't realize his shop is next to Uncle Ike's, basically don't pass by to immediately! I had two pairs of my booties re-heeled. One of those pairs had demanded a similar fix it is SO clear how far of a task was performed by Angel this time than I'd done before. The portion of the heels was worn down that I didn't even believe they could be repairable. I was also afraid, this being Seattle, the shoe fix could be disgustingly expensive, but to get both cost me about $35. He did let me know he was going to be shut for a few days to see family since I brought them before Thanksgiving, but that I didn't mind waiting. I cannot get over how impressed I am that not only did he fix them but they look good! Thank you so much!!
I had a frustrating interaction , although when he wasn't feeling so angelic maybe I caught Angel daily. I went in planning to get him placed some waterproof soles on some leather-soled apartments I bought (that was on the advice of the shoe shop ), and he told me I should not wear the shoes at Seattle (which seems somewhat impractical, because I live here), and then told me it was likely to cost $40, which looked steep. When I asked him why it was so pricey and politely questioned if it had been the substance which cost so much (he had already told me he simply cuts size and glues on, therefore it didn't seem as if it was going to have a lot of time-consuming labor), he got VERY snitty and basically told me to take my business elsewhere. Which I will. From today on.
I've taken my shoes and other leather goods for fix for more than 20 years to Angel - he's always so fair and kind and does amazing work. Angel relocated his business a few feet from the old store....phew!!
