Gus Lock And Key

I do not generally write reviews but I'd really like to support that business that is local! My car keys are broken for awhile and then they broke more I decided now was the time.
Parking is a bit hit or miss. . Usually the front has a taco truck so that it takes a lot of space in front up. You may have the ability to park on the face of the building just a bit away from Gus Lock & Key... I opted to Lyft the next time around so I didn't have to worry about parking.
I didn't feel like this was an issue here although I certainly do not know much about transponder keys. Everything was explained to me in terms that I would understand. My brand new key was created within half an hour of birth and I had been on my merry way home.

I went back the next day since I had some questions with the buttons but it wasn't their fault, my keys are simply outdated and fading off. People today will need to come here to their services!
This location is located less than two miles from my work place, and so I went for the convenience and the excellent reviews I'd seen online, and I really am happy I did. Everyone here is fair and quite friendly.

The guy at the desk literally made me a key copy that was completely incorrect. It was apparent his copy was missing the first ridge when I held them both up against each other. I asked him to look at both the keys that he refused to do and he explained can leave it or accept it. I asked him to look at the very first ridge on the secret that he completely missed and once he finally saw what I was saying (he missed the whole first ridge of this key)he responded with'. . .that's nothing and it does not matter but that is your own key. Take it or leave it'. I was not likely to depart with an incorrect key so it was left by me of course but speak about horrible service along with a refusal to acknowledge you're wrong and a bit lazy to need to fix your error Gus. A shame for something.

I called and asked about getting my fob replicated. The guy on the phone was nice and informative and said 175$ for the key copy. I came into the shop a few days later and this other guy that I didn't talk to on the phone said that the cost was $250 which is way higher then the initial quote was. I advised him I was quoted 175 and he brushed it off saying that he brought up paying several things that had nothing to do with it and his rent and that the guy was wrong. I am going to dealership and left with no key

I really like this Location because they Understand everything about cars Concerning reprogramming keys and locks to any type of car Mercedes anything that is Beamers

I have used there in House service Double n they were Fast efficient friendly and made it easy for me to Cover them That They have a shop, storefront n I ended up there yesterday, Quick service friendly n very professional again if u Require a locks smith call Gus they r there like Johnny on the spot

What else would you really ask for?
This place is. Quick. Easy. Physical Site. Makes keys. Cheap. There doesn't need to be additional talk or banter. It should be as straightforward as"Can you make me a copy of this key?"

Excellent service, fast and very reasonable prices. I had called several other companies before calling Gus Lock and Key, all other companies charged more for a job.

Great company, I brought in a high security auto key copy and the entire team came together to make it occur, at a cost that is very reasonable. Seems like they have pretty much everything anyone may need within this category. Between the front and back the place is fully stocked and large, I can't picture there's a lock and need they can't handle!

I forgot my keys inside my car. So I predict this location as it's quite close by my house .they said be there by that and 8:30 I am called again by me they state by 4:00 I am like fine. .4:00 came by and nothing so I call and they said can not make..next morning known again try said we're occupied telephone someone else too go really like really wtf is that. The great thing about that place they have great rates. . I had to call another location and they came in 10 min charged the exact same amount. .

Service was great. And they had been about costs.

Star Wars, Disney, creatures, etc.. Have padlocks and stuff. Really big ones also.
And they have a variety of blanks.

The shop is easy to discover and street parking is easy. You can just park your vehicle on the street right in the front of the store. Easy.
Really cute keys... So I purchased those instead. I know I'm going to get a lot of compliments on my keys. LOL
Can't know why this shop hasn't had any reviews on Yelp yet.... They've existed since 1989.
Nowadays got keys created. They weren't those which say"Don't duplicate" on them so it was easy to get them made. It's a dad & son operation and the son was friendly & enlightening and created me 10 copies. Easy.

Door and 10:00 am is secured. I called the number on the building and the lady said she will not wait for another hour or hour and a half. It is suppose to be open at 9:00am.

I stopped-by lately to find some copies and their customer support is non existent. They used to be polite with a"Hello" and"Thank you" but now it's only stare at you, tell them exactly what you require, they create the copies, put them on the counter and also let you know the total owed, get your change, that's it. I was the only customer in the area, although I'd understand if they were active.

This store and its own service is unique. After going to 7 key shops all around LA, this store was. The shops lacked the initiative to do so or either didn't possess the tools. The owner, Gustavo was quite polite and humble. After listening and going to give up on the job he made research and the effort to find the task finished. Thanks to the location now I can ride my bike. Additionally on a reasonable price. I strongly recommend this place and will definitely be a regular here.
