Every key that I have had cut in the last 16 years has been perfect. Try to beat that. Stay the hell away from Ace hardware and Home Depot.

These guys take good care of anything and all with caution and accuracy. They are the go to guys for custom locksrekeys and complicated problems .

Friggin love this place. It's an institution around the Miracle Mike. They have got me out. Even once custom creating a spring for my expensive front door lock. My last visit, they made a new secret for my Thule cargo box and that I had no key that was original.

Good place to go if you would like to get ripped off. Quotation me $15 for a kwikset 5 inch deadlatch (retails for $12.97 in Homedepot) on the phone. The price changed to $29 when I got there and it turned out to be a used component (from box - that the price written on with marker, no screws). They then charged me an extra 3% with credit card. I had been in a rush so that I could not shop elsewhere.

His reply -" Yeah we can do that today"! I talked it over and they eliminated the digital electronics all out of this flimsy half of housing, I was using and place it in housing. They charged me $50! You do the math.
When GREG'S LOCKSMITH is not accessible, also if you're currently searching an honest locksmith, Visit TRANSBAY SECURITY SERVICE. They charged me 1/4(!!!) Of what Honda of Marin went to bill me.
This old fashioned locksmith that has been in business if you reside in Marin you have driven past it a milion times near the start of the Miracle Mile on the best way to to San Anselmo. He has also got a group of older cameras. I'll post a couple of pictures.
I lost my Honda auto key at home. My spare was falling apart, although I knew I would find it. I went to Marin Honda. I was using the key . When they could replace the housing, I asked Honda of Marin. They stated,"No" and also the cheapest they could do was $190 for a valet key!!! That is only $30 less than what they would charge me to the key the remote options working with all.

There was just 1 thing to do... LOOK ON YELP! I called TRANSBAY SECURITY SERVICE.
I was not planning to take this sitting down. I called called GREG'S LOCKSMTH, my go-to locksmith. He is the best! He Goes on place and set up a safety system for at a really reasonable price. Unfortunately, he was not available.

Trans Bay Is The I seem to come up with hard things or lock issues that are and I always go to Transbay once I do.
They came for my company on a lock fast.
They are the only locksmith. It is well worth the drive to get capable, fast, support, if you aren't in San Rafael.
They get my difficult issues fixed immediately for an honest price. If you want it call these Boys. They know what they're doing on jobs and the small things like getting hard to locate keys made, they do in minutes while you wait.
They can always brighten my day with my job ended when I depart and I am smiling.

Does not even bother to attempt and understand when I predict, what I'm asking. And I am pretty clear when I speak. They've been fine for keys but so rude, cause I'm feminine or something? Cause I have a title? I don't understand.

Old fashion service that is friendly that is great. They know what they're doing, and answer the telephone when you call! I won't go anyplace else.

Absolute customer service. I've been trying to solve an Safe problem and was known to Transbay from the company. Greg is but Greg isn't never in the office, he fails to return telephone calls. Ever. I've tried for over a month to reach him with telephone calls and voice mails. He does not respond. So, I can't comment on whether Transbay does great work, because I can not get beyond a phone call. Will not waste my time any further and will appear elsewhere.

Do not consider anyone else!
You couldn't ask for professional locksmiths. I've given up going to anybody but them for my lock needs. . .even having keys created. Plus they are'Seinfeld' afficionados!

I work for a large property management business in Marin. Transbay has ever worked tirelessly to help us out when we need the additional service call. We appreciate professionalism and the service.

The worst. After I explained that they needed to change a lock out , the repairman showed up without a new lock. The repairman did not have the information when he revealed, about exactly what he was doing. But the kicker was when I informed him I asked a new front door lock, he informed me"oh that lock is really hard to change"... and then suggested a lame quick fix. So my first experience with this company resulted in a lack of communication followed by a lame excuse. How much faith would you have in a builder who said"oh this is actually difficult...". I found out they wanted to change out the front door lock. Which to me said"I do not wish to do what you are requesting, so I will charge you 4x exactly what it ought to cost." Thank goodness there are MANY other companies out there to get this job done. Pathetic.

That is your view of this lock. As you have to use the force of turning the key to open the 23, the door knob on the outside is useless. I do not like it. I really don't care what you think of the quality of it. Daily, I have to use it. If you didn't like the doorknob you use every day, you would change it rather than think much of someone who tells you of it is"quality". The purpose of the review was to illustrate the failure of your communicating with the home management company and the you along with your locksmith exhibited by highlighting the quality of the lock over my desire. You had a bit of business and possibly could have made this into a win , win by offering to modify the lock. Your employee could have offered to communicate with the home management firm in the construction ownership or my behalf and ease the change I wanted. But you and your worker did not do what speaks volumes about your opinion and interest in your clientele.

I got the voice mail of Transbay when I called on a Saturday morning that said that outside of standard business hours Monday through Friday , I had been to leave a message and they would return my phone on Monday. Well... The message I made was that they could not be any help to me because I wouldn't get a call back until Monday. My front door lock needs repair today. They just lost my business.

Not accessible for protracted period once I had a car key made. Needed to visit Orchard Supply, which managed right away.

Friendly and Capable. If you require a key made proceed straight here and skip Home Depot.

Fast (1 hr to get a re-key at the store ), fine, and very reasonably priced. A bit of pride in the world. Bring your business here.
