These people have everything in this little store. It looks like it is disorganized, but it is organized and intuitive to locate things. I made my way back and went in there searching for solutions that were mole. I seemed there and right they were. Trap etc.. The customers also assist out you there. One let me pick out a solution which I had not thought of.

Only went into have three keys created for the son's home. Job was completed right away and all the keys work. Shop is adequately staffed, and they have quite a list. Makes me long to get a neighborhood hardware store where I live at Santa Clara. You don't realize how important they are until they've been replaced by the big chains and you receive no support and it is a crapshoot in case you'll locate the product you really want/need. Treasure this gem San Leandro.

This place always treats me and the staff / family are pretty knowledgable. Rates are not bad in my view. As you're in and out.
But I'm a fan and will continue to conduct business here!
I believe this place should get more recognition in my view. I believe if it had been laid out a bit better they would get more business and perhaps have a lesson to make it more of a surfing store. But I can find what I need and if not somebody asks like straight away.

They sold the N95 mask for $2! Shops are selling it for $7.
It had been among those only WFH days I have had because of the poor air quality resulting from the Butte County fires. I called 3 different hardware stores looking for an N95 mask, all 3 said that they were sold out. When I believed that it was impossible, I attempted once more, and Dutton Hardware shop said they have a lot. I came in, there was a lineup of customers who all were trying to receive collections of mask. It was mayhem, but two young folks (one male, one female) were handling the situation professionally. Kudos to both of them.
This place is truly a god-send, I wish this family and the shop the Very Best and I expect they are repaid by karma nicely
1 thing to note is thatthis hardware store went forward and purchase a lot of mask for the area and even said they are placing orders every day. This is a small mom's and pop's shop, although the stores that are commercialize are failing to provide us with these mask, this shop on Dutton is discovering ways to provide our requirements.

Family-owned hardware shop for the professional contractor and the do-it-yourselfer . I know because I'm both and I find everything I need here whether it's for a job or a hobby task.
Surprisingly well-stocked than waiting in line in the large take-a-number chain stores, and more convenient.
Rates are competitive too.

Business closed 1/2 hour later posted time. Could have loved to patronize a local hardware store rather than a box, but if I'm gont move out of the way to do this and they are not bothering to run like a business? Never again. One and done! Recommended before bothering to come over, to call, as their hours can't be trusted.

They are very valuable and typically greet you with a"good morning" After you walk . This location has saved me several trips to Home Depot when functioning in Oakland mountains area. Perhaps if they carried some timber would be awesome. Still 5 stars for the advantage.

I had the customer service ! I went in to find a hook that was certain. There was a guy at the register without the customers. The device client that was there to get his role was directed by him. He directs me to the back to the shop. I am looking for some time and return and say that I can not find it. In a rude voice he said it is back on the left side. I ask if he can help me and he got angry and says I do not have time to come and help you I'm at the register. I said it is your job to help me..., you do not have any customers! The other one client was at the trunk still. As I'm walking back to go to the left he gives me the hook and walked past me all goes to the right and aggregated. I said. . , this is the right. . Thank you! He walked me rang up I left and thanked him. He did not apologize. . , nothing! Worst customer service ever!

Yes, they have a variety of stuff.
However, their return policy is kind of terrible: store credit only, within two weeks, and not on tools. Thus, forget about buying extra of whatever"just in case you want it" -- it is not a place for projects, it is just one for small repairs.
There's pros and cons, here.

I would rather drive across town to OSH on client support . Accusing me of making the purchase rather than exchanging what I bought for the right thing. . .not what I want from a hardware shop. Bad customer support and bring in a better company and atmosphere will shut this place down soon.

Aisleways piled w/merchandise all the way to rear of the shop. (Seems as the shop offerings in things Doubled-Up as when back storage space was opened to client entryways) Clutter galore. Not organized & lacks organization. Items not in bins & NOT PROPERLY placed on shelves. Inadequate displayed merchandise, some instances are things tossed on floors, racks. Owner unable to find his instruments to reduce length of substance customer arranged. Possible injury hazard. As it was kicked was struck by rack floor space in aisle manner. Overhanging ext strings (little bulb light ) in close proximity to customers/staff off & under LOW ceilings are a danger. I got briefly entangled (caught) in 1 wire as I was walking by. For a plug disengaged, taking a lit bulb connection & could not be reconnected it is not too permanent of a setup. So this resulted in a no light/low mild safety hazard (no avail. Windows/naturals light). Contacted city code enforcement, no callbacks, & FD... they don't have jurisdiction & chartered to inspect/investigate/cite.

This family is wonderful. They not only go the extra measure they go the extra mile. When they do not have your item in stock, which is an extreme rarity, they'll find it.

After I arrived I was directed to a bookcase variety of spray paints without the costs posted and certainly no Valspar brand. He clarified the paint ranged from $3-13 (with no obvious indication of costs ). My mom then told the worker again that we had and wanted Valspar spray paint and that he said it did not exist and he'd know he is a rep. Nevertheless they had the paint that was canned...
For wasting my time, minus three.
Called asking if they had Valspar paint. Whomever I spoke to was very polite and said of course.
Two stars on the telephone for politeness.
Well I am a big D.I.Y.er and I watched several YouTube videos, read several blog posts and'd clearly seen photos and videos of people utilizing the Valspar spray paint. I will not be back. Headed to get what I actually want and desire for my job.

Recently the horrendous attitude is getting unbearable, although starting to not like this place, been coming for decades.

Worst experience ever. The customer service and quality of service I purchased here sorely lacked although I don't consider myself difficult to please. I came in to have a copy of a secret (a pretty straightforward request) along with the man working the register gave me the wrong shift. He gave me a random quantity of change back just didn't even count it and took my money. Give the right amount back to me and I had to tell him just how much I gave him in order for him to repair his mistake. He admitted he didn't count it when I asked him concerning it. I then get home and the secret does work and will not open my door. At this point I do feel that it's worth it to go back and try to return the key because they gave me a receipt. I don't feel like getting in an argument over $2.18; not worth my time. But they are unprofessional and I will not come here.

They had the Merv 13 Home air filter that I desperately wanted to get smoke from the house. The men really appreciated that and were help that is no-nonsense!

Well desired staple gun in the home for a few jobs. Called to make product that is online that is sure was at store. Staff was kind and very friendly. Lady also assisted in obtaining my basic gun and knew. Gave me great advice on which gun I wanted for my tasks. I would suggest this hardware store that is nostalgic, local and helpful to anybody.

They take cleaning supplies, nails, tools, painting supplies, and other household items. They take seasonal items like Christmas lights. I frequently come here in order to get cleaning equipment and mason jars for my canning requirements.
This ACE Hardware looks deceptively small from the outside, but once inside, you'll see exactly how much stuff they have! The store goes all of the way back, and the shelves are stacked pretty large, so they have managed to stock this store with lots and a lot of stuff!
It is always better to ask the owners.

I stop here for my hardware and miscellaneous handyman needs.
Each time I move in I receive what I needed. Batteries bulbs, keys. Great color collection of spray paints, and I really like the vibe (densely packed with goods, no inch wasted, but familiar & welcoming). Should you have to find something where it is that they know, just ask.

I really don't know, perhaps it's only me, but I'd love to obtain the keys in the exact same location. Because of this, a star is docked off by me.
Wonderful place to acquire new copies!
As soon as I walked in, I was instantly greeted with an older gentleman. Obtaining key copies was quite quick but he made me go to pick the keys up.
