Good, prompt service!
I needed to receive my locks changed. Someone I really could no longer trust had keys to my condo. Baldino's came out and was able to change the locks out and supplied me new keys for both types of locks.
Great. Day and night in my last experience. Friendly, knowledgeable and quick! The lock is at least 40 years old. Not a key you can get out of the city (or out of Frager's) most of the time. They understood the blank by whipped out it and looking at it. They are recommended by me.
This is the Leesburg store but it doesn't appear on Yelp, I wonder why?
Leesburg Va; Not only are they overpriced and not friendly. My son needed the toilet and the man told us no! That the insurance doesn't allow use of this bathroom. That is a basic human decency and hospitality! BTW $24 for to keys cut, and they didn't even supply the blanks, and that I needed to ask beg to get a bag to put it in. So much for the in town men. Maybe they ought to put up!
Because my key broke off in my door I called the crisis line and I don't have the spare for my door. It's 45 degrees and 7pm... I was told the locksmith would call me in a couple of minutes to affirm. 20 minutes after I call back and was told"sorry he must be driving"... 15 mins after that I get a call from the locksmith that he would be another 45 minutes... mind they charge $198 just for entrance to the house and another charge on top of that move extract the key. I found another company that came within 20 minutes and replied immediately and then unlocked my door/extracted the key for ONLY $100!!! This firm is a RIP OFF!
From which my grandson lost the secret I was with my computer locked in its docking station this afternoon in their Chantilly, Virginia location on Lee Rd. Raymond Cottrill got my computer out of the docking station and was really useful. He stated he didn't do anything, as the docking station was based on him loose, when I wanted to pay. He made my day and I will be back.
Fantastic support and staff. Very, very happy to discover this store. They provided to re-copy my key if the copies he left did not work because my"first" was actually a copy . That was surprisingly customer-based support. I find that less and less. They were helpful in picking blanks and tags out, and they stamped the tags at no cost. These men are my go-to locksmiths from today on.
They rekeyed our locks in November. In February we started having difficulty with an external door. We phoned them to come fix it. It would not open and that was the door in or outside of our construction. They squirted a little lubricant, came, and billed $175 for the visit. That is apparently their cost. It was $76 for the squirt of WD-40 and $99 for the visit. Ridiculous.
Our accounting department called to talk to the supervisor. She says that he got snippy and mean. He asserts we had been quoted the cost on the phone. We weren't. We won't use them.
We had a contractor nightmare to say the least and we had someone to modify our locks away. I phoned and they had someone out that exact same day. We paid for piece of mind although it is somewhat expensive and they delivered. Very prompt and effective service. Chris (Chantilly) known to to tell us that he was on his way. I tell him that our 14 month old slept and that he was really respectful. Chris knew what he went and was very friendly. We had 7 cores rekeyed in hour and about. They make keys on site. Would recommend to anyone!
We needed it opened and dropped the keys. It was taken by me and walked 5 minutes later with two keys. I have never needed this kind of service, so that I really don't know the cost was. . .but it was undoubtedly less costly than replacing the safe and it's contents!
The short version: I take the home and try it. Same problem as most of my 1.00 keys. I asked what to do and called the manufacturer of the lock. They said any locksmith should be able to analyze the keys and determine what the issue is. The girl then told me that she cut on the secret and so she doesn't know what to tell me and spent approximately 3 minutes. I clarified the manufacturer told me to select the secret to a locksmith for examination, and she said there. I asked for my money back, and she said she can only do this if I've the credit card . Because I had been hoping to leave with a secret, not a refund, I did not. I told her that I am not coming back here a 3rd time and to keep my cash if she will not refund it. I shall take my company to a locksmith that is actual.
I began to explain the situation to the girl working there, set my key and walked into the shop. She seemed completely uninterested in what I was saying, turned and started to copy the secret. She then handed me the secret and charged me a whopping $5.00 for one crucial. Ok whatever... if it works I really don't care it had been 5x more expensive than Home Depot.
The extended version:
While they stole my money, I can only expect this review costs them at least $5.00 in clients who go somewhere else after reading this review.
After doing some research I purchased an expensive lock. The maker says the key should be able to be replicated everywhere. My secret was taken by me to Home Depot and purchased copies. The lock was opened by all of them , but none of them turned easily. I returned the keys and went to Lowes. Same issue. I returned the key and decided to go to a smith for expert help.
After two trips to Baldino's, they put no effort into solving my issue, and wouldn't refund the money which they charged me for an overpriced crucial which did not work. Save your money, take your lock problems to a locksmith, not to Baldino's

I've been to this location a half dozen times, and Ray has helped me each time. He's educated, friendly, and we get what we want from his shop.
