Jim chose my call this morning. I advised him that I needed my locks rekeyed. I said ASAP. He came over in less than an hour (5 minutes before he said he is show up by). Made up the number of keys that I desired. They all worked perfectly (unlike Home Depot keys).
This company is highly recommended by me. I am a happy client.
Glenn and I agree. Go to chains, when it's more of a pleasure doing business with your mom and pop businesses?
Rates are fair. If I ever want keys composed again, I'll have them done here ($1.75 a secret ), where I understand they work. I went to home depot 3 days this month to receive my keys done and they only worked on the 3rd time (hardly;I needed to fidget with them to make them work).
Jim was a fun guy to talk to and I asked him questions regarding the procedure and it was intriguing. I even told him about how I found his place (Yelp) which led to more discussion.

I recently moved and needed to have my locks re-keyed. I spoke with Jim who stated he could be at my house and phoned Baystate to get availability and a quote. He generated keys and arrived in then 4 locks and nearly exactly 30 minutes. Service was prompt and excellent. I highly recommend.

Together with changing another door knob jim came out and rekeyed the doors in my house.
Jim rekeyed the lock, and also installed a new door knob rekeyed dead bolts and the doorway keys in my house!
Jim was very professional and you will immediately see that the quality of his job was at a master degree. Jim would be strongly recommended by me!

Total charge: $121. $25 since our plate/door, $20 for the lock, and $75 for the support call was a mangled mess. I believed it was really reasonable.
Since I was a little perplexed, because we did not use it, I can't review the other one, I only wanted to point it out.
A very wonderful person, been in town for 30 decades. Very polite. I highly recommend his services and him.
He replaced with the lock so that if fits , and was here for about 30 minutes. The house is old - roughly 100 years - and the door is, too, and he was gentle with it.

Please be aware that this company isn't THE SAME as Bay State Locksmith.
I called Jim today at around 10AM, to inform him our deadbolt. He said he would be able to come by on his way home, around 4:30, and lived in our city. He actually came - around 3:40. As I ran out to pick up my son from school, I wasn't home. But Jim waited. He waited while we have settled (got my child a snack), then came in to perform the job.

The deadbolt front door had broken. Baystate was able to provide the part and repair our lock. David was prompt and very professional.

Extremely reliable company that I've used many times. The owner, Jim, has run the business for I believe over 25 decades and does a good job with lock-outs, re-keying houses, etc.. Anytime I go to a new apartment I have him make me new collections of keys bc service the chains once you're able to assist local business!

I found Baystate Locksmith on Yelp and has been really happy. Jim was able provide keys all within a half hour and to replace a lock and came on time. He was very nice, effective, and his prices seemed reasonable.
