Had a man on the highway tailgate us for 15 miles. Passed us & went over 3 Baths on right to get rt 126. No signal, and cut away or maintain an collision! I have used Plainfield Lock Techs for repairs key copies locks and door repairs. Scott is professional always does what he says. I read the bad reviews and have no idea why folks use yelp to damage superior companies... I shall continue to use PLT.

My husband just returned from this store. He went there to receive a Volkswagen key fob cut and programmed, which they said they could do. Well $120.00 later, they couldn't produce. I can not say how awful this makes this company seem. To charge someone for a service they weren't able to supply is nothing short of jagged.

Just had a programmed to get a car that was used and a spare key I purchased. Scott did the job in short order and at a very reasonable price. I had contacted a few places prior to here and no one else was able to do the job. Would recommend them based on price and service.

Became a homeowner and needed the locks rekeyed. I was able to schedule that to occur the same day as final and predicted last minute. Came on time, was efficient and personable, and professional. Prices were very affordable. If necessary, will definitely recommend this place to family and friends, and would use again.

So while their site says they could help save you money, the truth is they are 50 percent more expensive, they did not have stock, didn't phone to tell me the key didn't come in and broke the cardinal rule, the client is always right. Not to mention if they did a replacement to program, the spare key could have been deactivated.
I waited two days and no phone call so I named the automobile dealer. Their key was a part that is genuine and cheaper. Since it turns out in order that they can be enrolled at the same moment, you will need to bring in all your keys. All the others will be deleted out of Illustrator if you just enroll the one. Of course, the locksmith said that.
They failed on every level.
So I go here to get a key made for the car. I made the appointment called ahead and showed up at the time. The man wants to cut a key which doesn't have the buttons. The man tells me he didn't understand I wanted the distant, and the woman behind the counter blurts out"he never explained distant". A solid key shirt isn't going to crack, so use your head if you believe for a second. If I was petty, I may not have stated"distant" but I did not say I needed a valet key . You're the so called experts not ask? As it was they stated they would purchase it and didn't have the blank that I looked for. It'll be here they stated. I would be called by them they stated. And, it would cost me $50 more.

Plainfield lock did an excellent job. Showed up on time really profession and did the job right the first time. Needed add a deadbolt and to rekey a number of locks. No issues. Price for the job done.

When I locked myself out of the home I was rescued by scott in less than 30 min. He verified that I was the homeowner and while some people could be bothered which made me feel safe.
Also had to change the locks anyway. His prices were very fair and he was very pleasant. Would certainly recommend him

My husband dropped the only car key we had and has been stuck at work at. After calling a few other"24/7" auto locksmiths and obtaining either the runaround or voicemail, then I stumbled upon Plainfield Lock Techs. My phone was answered in less than 3 rings and Scott was pleasant. He gathered the info and gave me 2 quotes that were definitive. He came in my husband's workplace in less time than he said and had my husband with a brand-new key in virtually no time. I will DEFINITELY be referring Scott and Plainfield Lock Techs!

She came to our house and began calling none of whom could give her a cost, locksmiths. Regardless of how much information she gave them about the lock, they said that it would depend on what they discovered when they saw it, and that it could be up to $200... till she discovered PLAINFIELD LOCK TECHS.
They said they would be there in 10 minutes and that it would cost $60. They were there within 10 minutes, my neighbor had been in her house 3 minutes and it cost $60. It Doesn't GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT!!!
Neighbor stepped out to check the email, not realizing that the thumb lock of her door was turned, and locked herself out without her mobile phone.
