24/7 Oakland Locksmith

Comments

This is a business. I wish I looked up these reviews before I phoned them.
The call centre was nice enough, but had a bad attitude and began finding all sorts of issues that are bullshit and tried to gratify me. We negotiated the price down but I still knew I was getting ripped off, but compensated him because I had to get in the unit and didn't have the time to get another locksmith.
AVOID OUR MISTAKES AND DO NOT WORK WITH THIS LOCKSMITH.
I would if I could leave negative stars.

A older woman for $800 ripped off for changing the lock and stole her door handle. Do not call these people.

The call center was nice and all and then this man shows up with a piss poor atttitude. Replaces 5 says also locks , this will be $580. . .what!!!! I wish he would have talked to me rather than my wife. New locks are only $25. On top of that, the locks weren't What a joke

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. My buddy called the locksmith and got locked out of the apartment. He was told that the man (Shai) would be there in 25 minutes. Well the man gets the lock available and finally shows up. He did not have to break any locks; the work lasted less than a minute and was speedy. Then he handed a bill for $278 to him! Absolutely unreasonable. Don't use them again!

I took a look at the lock myself when I got home in the day. Quite quickly, with no experience or training, I figured that that the lock could be reset by creating a quarter twist and placing a coin in the slot. I cannot know how a trained locksmith did not understand that and opted to force the door open, damaging it.
With guaranteed to have a technician in my location in 15-20 minutes. The technician came in an hour. The locksmith technician said that he was not able to pick/open it and it had been an expensive lock and took at look in the lock. He couldn't afford a ticket and advised my guest that he had left on the road, so that he had to work. So instead of addressing the lockhe pried the door open with a bar, damaging the doorway. After charging $15 for service, $244 and $229 he left. He had been in my own condo for under 15 minutes.
I am unhappy with their services and this organization. A houseguest secured himself from the bedroom in my condo on a Friday morning while I had been at work an hour's drive away. He phoned me in my office, and in a panic to avoid a weekend call-in, I did a web search and this business came up prominently from the browser: http://www.247locksmithoakland.com.
In conclusion, shame on me for trusting this organization and for not appearing at the lock myself before calling for help. Second of all, for wanting to give decent customer service for sending an locksmith on this business and shame. You can be sure that I won't ever use this company again.
I phoned the 24/7 Oakland Locksmith company to complain about the ceremony. Every moment, said that I would be called by a service manager and the call centre person took my information. The second time, I warned that I would be going to Yelp! And the Better Business Bureau when I did not receive a call. So here I am.
I asked him to explain why he had to hurt my door and called the technician when my friend explained exactly what happened. He said that it might have been more costly to drill the lock out and it was an expensive lock. He ensured me that I had received excellent service and that there wasn't any harm.

Price range that is quoted isn't anywhere near what they cost. He spent a total of 5 minutes. Website states that labour starts at $35/hr, but counting driving he was not even here for at least 1/2 an hour.
I hope someone shuts them down. They prey upon people when they're stuck in situations and need emergency assistance. Quite costly lesson. The jerk had the gall to ask for a tip!! I nearly had to go to prison.
10x what they quoted and didn't show up to correct anything was charged by him. He screwdrivers and had a drill. Seriously. No tools to correct a lock. None.

I called to see whether my Mitsubishi Keyfob issue can be serviced by them. The call centre individual was quick to answer my questions before taking the opportunity to listen to me. She was short and rude. She made me believe I wasn't important. She said the visit was about to be $20.00 and then I would be told how much the entire service call could be. I explained my unique situation with my key, and she cut me off by giving me the cost of the crucial cutting and programming that was $75.00. Considering that the going rate is $200 plus out there using this kind of crucial, I again explained to her that blade and my key fob are as one unit. She then replied with"Sorry we can't help you" and then hung up on me. Wow need I say :(

0stars. . .they never got back to me and were fucking unprofessional!! Stay off!!! Never got refunded. .

24/7 Locksmith is a entire scam run out of mid U.S. somewhere. Expensive for minutes of work that is locksmith. Willing to ruin your house compared to unlock it. Uncooperative and jagged to the core.

This company is a Entire SCAM! And Yelp you have to modify your settings to at least show zero stars.
Jonathan was completed in under 20 minutes me then billed . As it was $100 over what he quoted me, I contested the charge. He said that he was chased by me. Get to work and I reluctantly paid to be done .
When Jonathan came I asked him the charges could be and he said it would vary from $118 - $220. I questioned why it'd become so high in price and that he said it depended on how much work it would entail (which essentially involved changing a part on the ignition).
Don't call them.
It has been around two days. These operators and I have been fighting in their multiple numbers they have listed on line and they are all liars. They insist that their technician has called me and I haven't answered their calls. Why then do I not have one voice mail message from him, they claim that their techs will not leave messages, since they call customers, I asked them. One of their operators told me to not call back and screamed on the phone at me.
This really is beyond infuriating, not only was I cheated $325 but that I have to phone another locksmith to fix this same problem and I'm out money. How does this company eliminate this thievery? Who knows although I will write to the BBB. Hopefully by reading our articles others will not be scammed out of their hard earned cash. Great luck.
Like all previous articles I have experienced the same specific scam. My ignition went out on my truck since they are the company to pop on 21, and that I called them. They quoted $15 for the technician to come out.
That part change was done on 2/7/14 and the ignition went out. I called Jonathan's direct cell that morning and asked him to return on a warranty call. He explained he would be out during the afternoon, however, he never called me . I called to follow up about 4 pm and he explained that he could come in the day. I let him know that it was my son's birthday and I would be departing for supper by 7 p.m.. He texted me back at 7:10 p.m. to say he would come at 7:30 pm I advised him that I was at dinner for his son but I would be home by 8:30 pm he afterward said that was too late and he would already be out of the area. This is where they are currently putting the blame on me - it's my fault since I was unavailable.

Let us just say, I felt like I was about to get robbed. Following I was told by the technician, called them it was going be $29. Took him less than 5 minutes using WD40 and key. Then said it was $229. Their customer support is lacking and their communication procedure with customers is non-existent.

Like? Are they in business? I wanted that I read these reviews and a key made. I won't even go there to get a key today. WOW!

The site states that charges will be explained. It also states that the service cost is $15. (We were charged $19)
However, with no explanation and the choice to be stranded exactly what do you expect your clients to do or be charged and to either execute the service?
It was either be stranded or pay. And I was given a hard time to use a credit card as soon as your site clearly states you can.
I called to find an explanation. No phone call.
I had a car-lock out last night. When the technician arrived he said the price (with no explanation) and when I asked why a lot of he said he completes the ceremony or leaves the vehicle.
I predict this morning and get the run around again now with inane comparisons.
We received no explanation to the $185 extra charge to unlock a our car once I referred and requested to the site info I was told nothing!
NEVER use this support Can there be a celebrity?
Inferior Company. STAY AWAY

I contacted 24 Hour locksmith Service--Oakland to help me get into my flat unit. The locksmith came and attempted for about 20 mins to pick the lock and was not profitable. He got the door open and drilled a hole through the lock on my doorknob and afterwards informed me I would have to pay $268 for the ceremony. I paid so that I could leave for work, although I was very perplexed that it had been that much for a hole to be drilled during my doorknob. I later consulted with various people at work and each and each of my colleagues informed me that I was"hustled" or even"ripped-off." I informed them that I paid $ 268 for someone to drill a hole and called the business back. The agent said they would have someone call me another day after receiving the locksmith's bill, however, no one contacted me. I requested to speak with a manager and phoned on 10/4/15 and I was informed by them a manager would call me . No one called me to speak about my concern to me I was left with a hole within my doorknob and had been overcharged.

And what is more, First Bay Locksmith came this afternoon and opened up the door in 5 minutes!!! No drilling. See my review.
I called these guys because I had locked myself. Got me on the phone with a dispatcher who quoted me 40 dollars. However, I was so desperate I just said okay. He had the man who was coming out call meand he was at my apartment in about 25 minutes.
After the"locksmith" got to my apartment, he brought his arsenal up, looked at the lock and then said he couldn't open the door without drilling a hole and breaking the interior of the lock. I said there would not be any demand for this, (believing my landlord could only come in the afternoon and let me in, but it turns out she was gone for the weekend)
All I can say is, its easy to get ripped off if its one in the morning on a Friday night, its cold and raining and you'd do anything to get back into your apartment.
The man still charged me FORTY DOLLARS JUST FOR DRIVING TO MY APARTMENT!!!!!! HE DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING.

Their website says"free online estimate" around it. BUT you fill in all of your personal info, it turns out what they give you will be a free estimate OF HOW MUCH AN IN-PERSON ESTIMATE WILL COST, which will be $19!! Freaking liars.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!I locked myself outside of my car while. So, I looked up and known as the local locksmith. The site advertised a discount ($15 service fee and 15 minute arrival). I asked the operator what the price would be and also he said 15 plus"the technician would provide me a quote once they arrived".
The technician called me in about 10 minutes and arrive about 20 minutes later (meaning 30 from the time that I made the call), not 15). And lent me $145 for your occupation. I asked him how it may be expensive and he said it is a flat fee. He asked him how long it would take and he said"some time". I had to be somewhere, so I let him start. Of course,"some time" was literally 120 seconds and a bent stick later.
In Oakland, I must think a locksmith is that is not gauging customers out there. Good lcuk.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! IT IS A RIP OFF! Called this place within a crisis because they stated they are there in 15-20 minutes. They arrived 50 minutes later. Website stated they charge $35. I was charged nearly $200 to have my door hanger. Showing up and opening your door is worth $200. Door knob was not replaced by them or do anything else. That might have been an additional $200.

The man shows up and that I direct him . The fricken man opens in literally 5 minutes then charges me a total of 240 DOLLARS! ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING ME!? RIP-OFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! FRICKEN SCAMMERS. Seriously???? WTF. I'll tell every single person I know to not use this company. EVER. EVER.
After the man unlocks it, he turns to me and ask if I'll pay in cash or credit. F YOU. I was shocked with the cost that I blurted out"well, S*** I am never calling you guys . Rip-off, dude." Then the man says"here, lemme tell you what... the next time this happens save my number and I'll come do it for free." HAH! THANKS! That makes everything sooooo far better. NOT. Screw this company. Not worth it.
I asked them how far it'd function, the rep said it's a"15 dollar service charge" then was very vague about any additional cost. I asked how much it'd be to open my BEDROOM DOOR and he told me it is dependent upon how long it takes to open it difficult the lock is. (Mind you. . My lock is the simplest one we have - use key on the exterior, turn small knob on handle on the inside.)
This place doesn't deserve any stars, AT ALL! But I am forced to give them .... augh

I would if I could give them zero stars. These guys quoted me to start my vehicle and billed me $174 on website. I asked for a quotation and called and they told me so I went to inquire why $174 billed and they told me that a manager would call me back. A manager explained nothing was uttered by them and never called back so that I phoned him and that he was a bag.
