I really wish I'd seen these reviews! I called A 11 and Yong came out same story as the others on here. All I had was cheap Master combo lock cut away. He clarified that Master locks couldn't be cut off with bolt cutters, he would have to saw off it and it would be 29 plu $218 having a $47 discount for paying cash. I got the money and moved into the ATM. I'm sure the IRS will be interested to hear these stories.
I'm contacting the BBB to file a complaint. It does create an official record and will cause me to feel better although it may do no good.
Of course I found out that the combo lock can be cut away, they do it all of the time at fitness center. I trusted him to know what he was doing, my error.
The same as other reviewers....we telephone and quoted us $29 and $35 total including tax ought to be around $65. We were bill $200, when the person show up.
I tried to call a supervisor, but after many telephone calls, I found out that Alexandria Locksmiths is an answering services. This guy, Yong, owns his own business called.
I would if I could give zero stars to this company. I don't usually take some opportunity to write reviews on the web, but I believe I need let's know about my experience.
Obviously I called a locksmith not because I actually wanted to. My husband fire safe box would not open using the key and we REALLY needed the critical documents inside straight away. So we called Alexandria Locksmiths. They stated they would have somebody finished within 30 minutes that cost $39 and the fee will be $25+ to open up the safe.
I believe that Yong took advantage of us in an awkward situation. I know we might have denied the service, but the fact remains that this guy is out there charging those ridiculous prices for a job that took 2 minutes (NO exaggeration!!) If $218 for 2 minutes billed then they ought to be the profession that is wealthy around!
I invested a lot of time arguing this to Alexandria Locksmiths and Yong, but it doesn't matter. Nothing can be achieved for us but I only hope others decide not to use both of these companies and can prevent this situation. There is no storefront, which means you can never talk to anybody is person.
The locksmith seemed at the safe arrived in 45 minutes and stated it would cost $ 218 to I was in shock! After arguing about this and questioning that this charge, the guy would not budge stating $218 is your fee. The safe just cost $50 to start with so we did not care when it was ruined by him. I would have kicked him out of my house, but my husband felt that he did not have an option because he did not have enough time to look for another locksmith, so that he paid the fee and needed these records.
He offered me a $47 discount if I paid nor would I run outside to a ATM given my toddler, that by that point was very hungry and hot.
One hour after (and that I have a toddler) he arrived and told me it was $29 and $218. That's a whole lot more than $15! He said it was"$15 and up". The worst part was that he had been rude and uninterested that customers should be better informed by the telephone dispatchers . Once I complained about time and the purchase price he even questioned my integrity.
I had the same experience as the reviewer. They quoted me $29 for the service call and $15 and said he'd be there in 20 minutes.
PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I phoned Executive Lock and Key Services in Del Ray, that told me it would have been $100 for their service, and said that the speed I was charged was absolutely absurd (it wasn't a deadbolt and took him less than two minutes to perform .)
