Paul was great. He arrived over day, mended our drain and disposal at around 15 minutes.
Athena Care is Richfield area plumber and a Minneapolis.
Best plumber at Southwest Minneapolis. That's for sure!
Because we called another guy to come out and repair a trash disposal and leaky drain it is important to be aware that they are licensed plumbers.
We predicted Athena Care Plumbing.

Paul was extremely responsive. Called me back within 20 minutes and after texting him a photo he called me back and said"try this." I did. Problem solved. He did not even charge me for his time and experience. The next time I've got a plumbing need, I am calling Paul!

We had a garbage disposal, we called Athena. Paul asked good questions was very responsive and ultimately made suggestions, which I believe. He is simple, honest and knowledgable. His price was fair, workmanship and support great.

I am convinced Paul might do great work, but we got to that point. We had him in to take a look at a couple of things and while the quote he gave us could have been reasonable we decided that if we were planning to pay someone to maintain our property, we want someone with a decent mindset that doesn't complain the whole time.
I should have trusted my gut following my very first interaction with him about the phone he wasn't a person that I should use, but with the positive reviews on the internet I chose to stick it out. That's once I got in touch with him you want to do in order to contact him. That ought to have been the first red flag of just how difficult he is to operate with. He had been rude when I caught him on the phone and that I should have said I was not curious. But there were great reviews so I gave him the benefit of the doubt.
However for some reason(despite my wife telling me to cancel) I let him come out to our house to hopefully help. He might be a plumber that is fantastic but he's not a people person.  My advice hire him if you do not mind an argumentative/grumpy person on your house there is lots of other skilled and friendly technicians out there there.

Paul does work! He was prompt to answer to my enquiries, unlike a number of other local plumbers, and even had me take photos of the issue and send them to him on my phone which enabled him to become well prepared with every thing he needed to perform the task when he got there. (which saved me money) We had to call the city to have the water turned off in the supply in the road and Paul managed that for us also. Included in the repair we had to cut into the sheetrock in our cellar. the sum of repair to the sheetrock will be minimal, paul took care. He's ethical hard-working, and fun to be around. I'd give Athena Care the highest recommendation.

I am a repeat Athena client because Paul knows what he is doing, helps me problem solve first (he's had me fix quick fixes over the phone to spare him coming and save money); and is always fair and honest. It needs doing, if he says something needs doing, he is not currently upselling or slipping in additional fees. He talks me through everything he does and why. All the work he has done for me (three separate homes and 2 businesses) are done correctly the first time, and he will spot preventative options too. Now he recommending hiring a man with a camera and boy am I glad I did! The pipe into the street was FULL of origins - . Than waiting for the problem to 15, it was better to perform this preventatively. I believe this mindset has saved me money in the long term. I enjoy Paul's sense of comedy, but do not find him to be crabby. BUT - I would be pleased with a crabby plumber if he was thorough, honest and efficient as Paul.

Nightly the kitchen sink backed up and that I had it repaired quickly. I contacted Athena Care and that which was repaired the next morning. Paul was very helpful in explaining the way it would be corrected by him and what the problem was. He is honest and will not tell you to replace things which do not require replacement. Five stars for fair great quality work performed at a fair cost in a timely fashion.

Paul from Athena Care is Wonderful! We've had water temperature issues over 2 days of calling him and using our water heater for many weeks Paul came over and fixed the dip tube in the water heater for a reasonable price. Now the warm water works great. He was able to give us a fantastic range before he fixed the problem and the true cost was on the bottom end of that range of how much it'd cost. We are delighted to have found a trustworthy and hardworking plumber within our community that we can continue to work with in the future for our plumbing requirements.

I find I get service from this plumbing company.
When I can text a photo I get a answer.
Look all I want is to get the issue fixed and fixed right.

I frankly can't imagine any plumber being more thorough than Paul. He's spent a whole lot of time together with me and my tenants explaining what's happening, what has to be achieved, before he gets there that could save us money by conserving his 42, what things we can do. He's so open about what he is doing and his process that if I've researched the things he is performing, I see not only how much he understands, but also how honest his rates are in relation to what other technicians are charging for the identical kind of service.
As somebody who resides in our house and rents our old one out, we've found Paul to be an essential asset to the direction of our home(s).
The first time you need a plumber, you are constantly worried you are gonna get screwed by a man who informs you each occupation is a nightmare, and it's gont price a ton, but never takes the opportunity to walk you through what is needed and what costs so much.
I knew after the first time he did a project that there's no point in looking elsewhere again. I trust trust this man, and that's not something I expected to state about a plumber I found online.

I called him to fix two leaky toilets within my after my co-worker recommended his name at the U of MN. He also fixed on the road and the bathroom upstairs the next, he saw the plumbing in our kitchen remodel would not support the farmhouse sink my wife desired. He gave me free valuable advice the best way to prepare the kitchen wall to get extending the port height and re-plumbing the sink drain while he worked tirelessly to fix toilet number two. Free considerate counsel that is currently going to save us hours and lots of money!
This is simple; you ought to hire him, and Paul really cares.
Paul is similar to several tradesmen, who guard their secrets tight, or fail to explain what happened or what the repair will be. He went to guarantee the kitchen work could be successful, although he was hired to resolve the bathrooms. The man is thorough, punctual, and knows how to communicate challenging issues. You ought to hire him, you'll be quite delighted.

I had a crisis pipe leak in my cellar. Paul got back everything under control. I had been , so pleasantly surprised to find that he was in a position to replace the pipe. I expected a giant hole in the ceiling of our bathroom, but he managed to avoid doing any damage to the ceiling! I will call Paul next time we have a plumbing problem.

Paul did an superb job replacing a water heater in my property. He does high quality work, quickly responded to calls/texts, also understood that the other plumbing repairs needed (gasoline valve, water valve, etc).
Paul says what he means what he says and means. He's skilled and honest - that I found his prices to be fair. I'll use him again.

Not buying the 1 star reviews on here. Called Athena Care because that's what came up in a google search with my area and plumber. Paul explained the situation, the costs came the next day, and fixed the drain very quickly, he went as far as replacing the gaskets and aerator . He was super friendly and honest about the costs which is vital. I would do business with him again when a different issue arises.

I love he can select his tasks and conduct his business as he sees fit, I just felt like he was dismissive and rude and not at all what I was hoping after reading his other 5 star reviews. Bottom line, I was offended and was not impressed. Maybe he's too busy using an present customer base to take on new organization. I would have just asked him to be a tiny courteous in our coping, even though he did not want my business.
I was disappointed with my experience with Paul here. Paul was a little gruff on the phone--he asked where I received his phone number, which made me feel like I was bothering him, also felt like an accusation. After outlining my plumbing needshe proceeded to tell him things I had to do to save him time so he could get to his next project (I do not know anything about plumbing--that is why I am calling and offering to pay somebody else to do it) . Since I live in a condominium I needed to arrange to have the water. After making these agreements, Paul sent me a text message later (good thing I had a cell phone and a text message plan) saying the job sounded like too much hassle so he was cancelling.

Paul will be surely called by us if we need a plumber in the future. The cost was very reasonable and expertise and his service was fantastic!
Our kitchen sink backed up everytime our dishwasher was used by us and stopped draining. My spouse and I had been sure so I made some phone and email inquiries the garbage disposal was the culprit. When the garbage disposal was broken which meant I might pay for a diagnosis, not get the issue repaired, another firm did not look jazzed to help us. Paul scheduled a visit that worked with my schedule the next day and immediately responded to my email query. Paul explained what was wrong in terms, and was friendly, on time. He explained how we could stop the issue in the future and fix if we desired to do 22, it ourself.
So that I had him take a peak at our shower, 19, he repaired our sink/garbage disposal issue. Anytime we'd run. Not! Paul had it installed in a jiffy and had a new bathtub spout in his truck. Now we've got water pressure that is amazing from our shower. Yay!

Paul came to me on a recommendation from a real estate agent. I really like to support the companies that are small but want a job done nicely and at a reasonable price. That is precisely what I got.
The cost came in at the quote and he was very courteous and respectful. So excited to learn who to call if I want something else.
D:)

I had an extremely unpleasant experience. He is not agreeable and very argumentative to deal with. I needed a bathroom replaced and he would not tell me exactly what kind he went to bring. Called the next day since he felt his job was not respected by me, to cancel me. It was so odd, we almost got the locks changed on the doors...

Crabby crabby! Read his answers to reviews on his web page. Read his"Meet Paul" to get a sense of his personality. Ugh. Avoid calling this man for assistance. He will only make you feel like a pain in his butt.

Just got off the phone with this guy. The moment I said I live in a condo, he said"nah I will pass" what the heck? Who do these plumbers think that they are!!
