Though some of the clerks speak Polish and Russian, they may benefit from a Spanish-speaker for reasons that are clear.
Aurora is a good instance instead of being closed it down, of a small enterprise that has thrived. Kudos to them and a blessing.
This is the one of the hubs of the restaurant culture of Williamsburg, therefore it might benefit the shop to bone up on plumbing supplies and restaurant hardware. Likewise, hipster gardening and houseplants can be enlarged. Any sort of repairs and bicycle equipment could be integrated, imo that is subtly. They've already made these moves within the course of the previous decade, so I might be late to the party with this one.
This team was a helpful resource while I worked one of the building projects from May to July 2019 in North Williamsburg, over by Kent Ave.
Always happy to have a dialogue about building projects, and the talks can be humorous and light-hearted or virtually technical. Not every clerk is versed so they could at least commiserate. A building boom has been caused by gentrification in these buildings where I worked, and there's a steady renovation marketplace for this company.

I'm usually getting lightbulbs or screw/anchor combo packs, but occasionally I go in there with a particular art project objective which I don't really know how to execute, such as a"I want to do so with this and want it to look like this or be in a position to hold x amount of weight" and they're patient enough to listen to my babble and prepared to make suggestions and brainstorm possible solutions.
These guys are fantastic! Super helpful and though they look tough, they're very friendly. I think that which seems as a"tough face" is much more of a"I-know-my-hardware face".
They have lots of house ware stuff too and it is always well-staffed!

The proprietor was really rude when I asked for screws, once I asked him when he is nicer he explained what do you want me to perform kiss your ass? Unacceptable vulgarity stay away. He call himself but he yell and advised me to go somewhere else, although I dont know if the guy was he proprietor.

Good customer support I love the men there!
They may appear tough but they are amazing like other places do, and you will not over charge!

Support small business. This place is much less expensive than Home Depot and it is a place that is local. They are extremely friendly here and have the basics of what I need. Once I need anything hardware crucial or related doubles will keep this place in mind

Today, Enormous fail. Will never go back. And will gladly give my business to Amazon/ Home Depot etc..
Like many reviews of the kip on here, I've experienced helpful staff and a fantastic choice of merchandise for a neighborhood joint (although, not entirely all that friendly for the most part - sudden would come to mind).
But today has motivated me to write my review on Yelp coz all I needed today was a garden hose.
In a nutshell, I cannot come to terms with the penis behind the counter and his attitude. I stated that I needed help - what you will need assistance with? - length etc., choice, price - tell me what you need - ! - the penis looks at me with the body language that says I don't give flying fcuk about you dude and I sayI don't know why this needs to be so hard, I'm just looking for a small service - that responds by dismissively saying I'm busy I can't help you... what a massive penis. Good job pal. Nice way to conduct your business and live your (non ) life
They had a choice but they were piled high so that I could see the range of choice incl. Duration, price and other elements that will help me pick at a hose that is decent.

I've been coming to the store for over 3 years. Selection, the service, and prices are unbeatable. We needed two and moved across the road into a new apartment, A/C units installed in a 3rd floor walk up. Ayder showed up within 20 minutes and did an incredible job. As a small business owner myself, always excited and pleased to support local places. Among the hardware stores !

Really nice men and women. Very helpful and courteous, give lots of advice to you when looking for items. Rates are affordable. Has an older mom & pop atmosphere. Places like this exist.

And because my mom is coming, now, I wanted to make a replica of the key. Well, I went to the shop there's 1 guy asked me if I want any help, he is quite friendly. I said I only should make a key copy. He advised me to ask another guy who was stading in the cashier. Ok, I told that guy what I want then he left me TWO copies of the key...I was supried and asked why, he insisted I stated two copies, and kept asking me to consider what I really said....He was mean, and kept saying he isn't a perfect man but he is perfect in his work....seriously? What a joke.
So suprised to see the good reviews here. I made a key but I needed to rush to the shop to make a new copy because the door couldn't open. Fortunately the version exercised - so they are able do a nice job but why not just do it.

I broke my crucial in two, and a copy was made by these guys in no time. It worked with the very first effort - and that from a secret!!!! I picked up some tools. I'd certainly go there again.

I love buying in this shop. The staff is very friendly and they take the time explaining how I can replace parts and fix things . They do not try to sell me. Their prices are very good.

Like an old hardware shop but with the latest products.
In addition, I enjoy interacting with their knowledgeable Staff...
I like this Place...
I've been searching for years and I Highly Recommend this Area.

Perhaps I am going at the wrong times, but 3 of 4 of the staff members I have asked for assistance, have given me phrase, snarky answers. They do not appear to be able to leave their chair behind the desk and when I want help finding something, point in the general direction rather than help me. I find them being rude to other customers, not just myself and are some of the friendly people at a business on Bedford I've met.
There is one younger gentleman who frequently jumps in when the guys behind the counter are too rude to help, and seems ready to help. Noname young blonde guy is very appreciated and if the employees were even half as helpful, or friendly and eager as him, I'd have a much different rating.
I'm a little surprised to find out what great ratings this place has. I have to say, I am now in search of a new hardware store and live right around the corner to go to, even if that means getting on the subway.

The most inspiring people I've ever dealt with. Told me the size screw and wouldn't take it back. Do not bring them any enterprise. I won't

Great shop for the basic needs. Can make keys cheap while you wait. Lightbulbs, paint supplies, etc.. Should you will need any basic home improvement items or toolkit belongings - they ought to have you covered !

Highly suggested.
The store is fairly small, so finding things may be hard. Ask for assistance.
Great store in the neighborhood. The employees are all friendly and always ready to help locate whatever we're searching for. If it'd achieve the same goal they recommend a product that is cheaper.

Fantastic choice of hardware for jobs. Service was always great and guys working there are always helpful.

They have what I want so I dont gave for supplies to trekbto Manhattan! I ho here for citronella candkes, tarps, summer stuff as well as staples such as lightbulbs.

Fu*k this location! No one, who knows what they're currently doing, comes here. Point blank. An arbitrary 40 markup is not wanted by any expert. People are ripping off and keeping their customers stupid.
WAAAAAAAAY overpriced. Yes, exactly like everything else in the neighborhood. Especially, here, they're gouging customers based on the truth that. Recent example: Furniture Dolly @ Aurora $52. Furniture Dolly @ Crest $23. He gave me this finky grin when I called their Owner out in their BS. You've noticed this grin before. The single alliteration that comes to mind is that the grin you get when you hop in a some stank 3rd Earth taxi where the driver asks about your excursion just so he can locate the right time to come back with some stooges and steal your inner organs using a hacksaw - that grin. Its beady eye grin. Its that smirk the mouth are forced to create since the venom sacs gradually fill.
