Baldino's Lock & Key Service

Comments

Dustin, Chris, and Snake have been assisting me with a complicated issue for more than a month (to no fault of their own on the time ). During this entire time, they've remained educated, kind and prepared to assist until the problem was solved. I'm very pleased with the outcome and even more grateful for their assistance after reaching a solution now. Do not look anywhere else, if you're looking for top of the line customer support from a company that is family-owned.

Literally walked into Home Depot across the parking lot. While awaiting my key, I told my story to the worker by the counter. He laughed, cut my brand new key and said"have a fantastic day." Can I mention he said"no charge"! Crucial worked.
Must have struck this place on a bad day? Walked in and I was never greeted by the guy. After standing for many seconds, the guy stated he would be with me. I had my own truck key and Fob (bought online) but that I needed it to be programmed and cut. Apparently he wasn't happy I did not purchase the things from his shop. He said he can't guarantee that the key would work and gave this narrative. He told me what times of the afternoon that he would program the Fob when it came to programing the Fob. .
I hear good things about the Mclean location perhaps try them before the Reston one? Good luck. I'll give this place another chance down the road. The Chevy dealership and oh ended price up matching the programming price.

I had a replacement key for my Lexus, or so I thought. The cover had cracked and fallen off. Three locations were predicted by me before Baldino's and got quotes ranging from $70 - $220. The man that I talked to here instantly said that I needed a cover. He I could get it online for about $10 and gave a fresh name to me. Problem solved, heaps of money saved. Because they certainly care about the customer, not the money, I call them again next time I need key and lock support.

Great service from beginning (estimate ) to finish (set up ). They called before they arrived and installed 2 locks. The quote was higher than what I paid found a creative way to save money that I would not need to get an entirely new lock for one door and vacuumed after the job. He even gave me guidance on locks in the house. I didn't call anybody else for quotations, so it was reasonable, although I have nothing to compare the cost and my damn cat can't allow himself and the dog outside while I'm on the job!

Mike, at Baldino's, was nice, honest and really useful. I didn't feel ripped off -- how wonderful!
I had to change the lock and Baldino's was really useful -- and by far the cheapest choice. I had called a locksmith referral agency who explained that it would be 25 to come out and"assess" the circumstance, and following that, he would quote me a price. That sounded a bit much when there are 1000s of these locks all over individuals and the place must need to rekey them they should have been able to give me a ball park number at least to the installation. The reason they don't (in my view ) is that they want an opportunity to upsell you. The person on the telephone said that they would assess the safety of my lock. It is a mailbox -- I wanted another one so that an old roommate couldn't get in to it. I neither needed nor desired a safety test!
Baldino's on the flip side, said"bring in a picture" The replacement lock was under $30, and it changed out myself in under 10 minutes -- now that I have done it once, next time it will likely take me 3 minutes. As long as you have a key for your old lock, there's nothing to it. One screw and a clip (and a hammer to bang the cylinders out and in ).

GO TO HOME DEPOT INSTEAD!!! Btw I have been on more than one event (poor judgement on my part), and the individual working has extremely bloodshot eyes- and also seemed super sketchy. Each time that I've had keys made here:shocker:.
This place is TERRIBLE- the key they gave me was wayyyyyyy too thin, seemed not at all like the original. This place is an embarrassment.

$198 to get back into my condominium in 9 a.m. on a Saturday?! And 4 efforts in a single hour? So much for 24/7. No thanks.

This place sucks. I moved after buying a replacement automobile key (which was not cheap) and the guy there completely messed up it and made the replacement unusable. He decided to state there aren't any guarantees if they wreck. I should have left but I thought the workers at Home Depot might not have greater skills than an actual locksmith. I went to Home Depot and got a replacement that worked first attempt no issue.

They may be great locksmiths, however I don't know and can't recommend them.
Guru: This place actually is present, unlike the majority of locksmiths.
Disadvantages: I drove by two during posted business hours. Both times, the lights were still on but the door was locked, with no indication of if they'd be back. I can understand they may not have somebody to sit down there all of the time, and may be outside a telephone... but posting hours and just not being there during these hours is disrespectful to your potential customers. How hard would it be to install a"Will be back in..." signal?
This place seems far more focused on ink cartridge refilling than locksmithing. The letters in the window are all about ink, and tiny letters indicate it the locksmith. For a minute, I thought the locksmith was eliminated, replaced by an ink man, and the marquee hadn't altered .

Fantastic service came in for deposit box did it while I wait. I've come here a few times had a good experience with keys.

Fantastic service! They charged me 10x less than the 3 locksmiths I predicted! Very quick service and friendly, will certainly be back my lock/key needs for all!

I used them to have the locks in my new condo replaced and serviced. Frankie the service guy was friendly, on time, and explained in detail exactly what he fixed and how to maintain my locks so they would last. I was able to cover a credit card that was good because I did not have any cash on me. Don't know whether I got a good deal or not because this was the first time I have used a locksmith, but the price didn't seem exorbitant.
So that I can't comment on how quick this wasn't a crisis service their turnaround has been. I walked in to their store. Their main dispatch office is currently in Chantilly.

I recently used Baldino's in Reston to copy a key. Was superb. I'd gone to two different areas to have my key. The two times the key didn't work. I went to Baldino's and explained my predicament. Tim said he'd make it appropriate and that if it didn't work to come back and made a copy. He explained that my key was not a first it was a poor copy. He spent time on it but it ended up not working. Next time I went he decoded my key and gave me variations, because my key was a poor copy. He explained one of the two could be like a new original and another one might not do the job. He didn't charge me anything for this service. Needless to say one of both match my lock and worked perfectly. I was really pleased with Tim's dedication. THANK YOU!

I have tired of going to Home Depot to have keys made only to need to go back because they didn't do the job. This has happened 4 times. Got a secret and it was a perfect match on the first attempt!
