Capital Locksmith

Capital Locksmith has gotten me. It's a neighborhood hardware store. When they have what you need, amazing. They will discover it out of their rows of crap and storage for you. Where you can get it if they don't possess it, then they'll let you know. The rates are inexpensive, the place is owned, and they'll come by and help you out of a bind should you need help with a project at home. Were you expecting a cappuccino?
For those men and women who complained about the service, you shouldn't be from this region, or have not lived in the region. If you would like someone who will"support" you, go to Home Depot. They have kneepads on.
I will defend this location till the death.

Only downside is they close at 5pm.
Fantastic place to get keys cut for $2.49, select up hardware supplies, etc..

Because he said he didnt have all the resources he needed. When I asked if he could return the next day to finish he told me"yes but you also know that will be an excess service fee". Are you kidding?! I'd have kicked him out of my house When he hadnt already started shifting my locks.
Absolutely terrible support. Im thinking NO WAY could these testimonials have had the same guy who showed up an hour and a half late to half and my house did the job

These people are out and out crooks.
I called this service to have a lock since I was robbed the night before changed on a security door in my house. They charged $700, outrageous, so I was robbed in 24 hours. They didn't state so at first, the man kept saying he had something or parts.

These guys were great. They arrived by exactly the moment. The man that answered the phones was super fine. And, they were far cheaper than some of the other areas I called (hope they don't read this and change that). Fantastic support.

I experienced the Jekyll and Hyde's Hyde customer service store. The man behind the desk borders on rude with each gesture, and, given his behavior, he needs to be dumb or dishonest or both.

I have read the negative reviews and I find them difficult to believe given my experience over the years. I believe Capital Locksmith deserves a five star rating, and more.
That's within a period of ten years, which gives a long term view of their quality of their service to me, although I have been to the hardware shop four or five occasions.
I have not been disappointed. When they don't have exactly what I need, they inform me how I can get the merchandise. I have always gone to get work a protracted process, so I have had many opportunities to see interactions with customers flawless
It is everything you can ask for in a neighborhood shop. The owner and his helper are knowledgeable, understand their stock, are considerate and helpful.

I'd lost a key and they were helpful and friendly when I brought it in to see if they could create a new one. The owner spent a great deal of time trying to help me out, although I could not offer the important codes that they needed, and didn't give them a whole lot to work with. I really appreciate the effort they put in trying to crack the key.

STAY AWAY!!!!! IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A BUSINESS DONT GO THERE!!!!
Being new to the dc area,I made the mistake of going in this little, dark, and dingy store to make a purchase. We'll,Exler was not interested in my purchase. He walked past me,and straight to my african american teenage daughter, and started talking about his vehicle, and would not she like to go for a ride. . I thought he was kidding at first. When I asked for an explanation,he became much more rude and arrogant. As I immediately left,I told him that I was going to plead for him,and I thank God I did not go to prison that day.

The star that is lost is for no notice and a late arrival. However, the service more than made up for this!!
This is simply a review of the services, not the retail. Before yesterday, we had a 5-key entry system: storm door, front door, back door, security door that is back back gate. And on top of everything, every door required a key in and also a key out (read: on my than one event, I found myself locked in the house--maybe not so great in a crisis, right?) .
Input Capital Locksmith. $350 and A hour we had one crucial and change bolts in each door. Ah, now I can rest easy!

I received a call later on in the afternoon and the locksmith was very cooperative in working my schedule on. He had been in and out in under 10 minutes. I have access to my mail! Thanks Capital Locksmith!
I called to get a condo mailbox key mended and the owner (I'm presuming ) answered the telephone and was incredibly friendly. He said they were busy that day but might try and get somebody out either same day or the next day. I have called about 5 other local locksmiths and they were booked until next week.

I went to the shop with a set of locks to be rekeyed. Very nice, and knowledgable. For other hardware, the shop is somewhat dim and small, however for that arbitrary thing, it might be packed into a nook, particularly items unique to the older houses in the region (like old keyhole locks prepared to decrease?!) .

It will not seem like you're going to find what you would like when you walk in to Capitol Locksmith. There's a tiny area for clients. But, they have tons of stuff . Just ask for what you want and they probably have it. Paint thinner, got it.
The guys in here are friendly and knowledgeable. It really is a throw back to how before Home Depot set out most places of business hardware stores used to be. It's not quite Fragger it desperately need a missing bit to finish the job and can be a blessing when you begun a project.

I am new to hardware that is and the neighborhood. Because it's an old main street hardware store ambiance I liked the store. It's more than you can imagine by walking the aisles. The staff was fine. The proprietor is the proprietor. He's very knowledgable. I will shop there for my requirements.

I moved into the neighborhood of Petworth and I'm very luck to have Capital Locksmith/Hardware Store across the road from my apartment. They always appear to figure out an answer to my question(s) and also have been really helpful in explaining how to use the materials I buy. Robert gave me great advice regarding anchors I was looking for when bolting my bookcases to the wall and Jack recently came up with a few inventive means of bolting my milk crate into the back of my bike. They took the time to help me problem solve and get me exactly what I wanted even though were not major ticket/pricey.

Super quick! They showed up in 30 minutes and we called on a Sunday because our gate lock has been busted and replaced the lock. Highly recommended!

Hardware/Locksmith store with minimal inventory and sleazy customer support, which stays afloat by handling up-charge first (and only) time clients 200 percent and 300% what they may pay elsewhere. I live a few blocks away, but once my previous few of experiences I"ll move upon the town before I go here again.

The proprietor keeps making yelp profiles that are new for this particular business, hoping the reviews won't be seen by people on the last ones. I was harassed by him when I came to his shop last year, and upon speaking to folks in my area and reading other reviews I learned that he has done the exact same to a number of women. I would love to see this place go out of business. Nobody would miss it.

I must walk by this location to find home from the metro and the man cat calls me follows me down Georgia Ave and watches me enter my residence. Please don't support this asshole. Not surprised he does this to women and girls, it's upsetting that he gets away with it.
