Cole Hardware is the go-to location whenever you've got an odd DIY challenge... like installing ball bearing casters on a coffee table that were really meant for a totally different purpose. Dr. Hardware helped me select the right drill bit, sleeves, and washers to achieve the intended result. I love these folks!
Every. Single. Time. I've come here in order to get keys made they've screwed up it!!! EVERY TIME! Do you know how hard it is to receive parking ? I had to return to have one set remade, Now, and the idiot man kept a set that worked! I called and just noticed now and the person I talked to was obtuse. Today I have to go someplace else because I am not wasting my time with all those folks again.
One of the very few hardware stores that stocked enough supply of respirator masks, picked up the phone and patiently answered my questions (during the CA wildfires).
I'd like to get a Respirator Mask once I most wanted it and did not gouge the purchase price.
I enjoy the store, but don't delight in interacting or asking questions to some of the employees Like I said.
They put me in a lousy mood.
I enter this store because they carry the employees are barely ever grinning unfriendly, and also the opposite of what a customer service person should be.
A Worker Who's a young Woman there are rude and old Guy give service that is bad I don't wanna go there again
If they don't know who to utilize cliente do not work there

I also reside at Pasadena, CA (Los Angeles area) and all our hardware shops closed recently as they were Orchard provide leaving us with only Home Depot that is many miles away rather than a single neighborhood hardware store. It than the Bay Area but that might be a prime chance for a Cole hardware store in Pasadena? Just a thought...
Cole hardware is the neighborhood hardware store. This location on Polk and 90 percent of basic hardware needs and my upkeep is small but meet.
I went to make copies of my keys, after I tried the door was opened by those copies but the 1st one barley and 2nd did not work. I moved back and told them. They were careless and the guy was angry to re-do it!
So rude and service!
A fast and helpful place to come stop repaired. With no Home Depot or even lowes in town, this is your one
Cease shop to get whatever you require, repaired. I came here and needed a toilet repair, I showed that the staff a video of what was wrong, and they helped me find what I needed and got me on my way fast. I am thankful to have a hardware store in the area, and appreciate they also have popcorn haha. Certainly come check out the hardware store if you want something repaired!
I popped into get a copy created. Cole Hardware makes key copies quickly behind the counter. Moreover, they give a vast array of specialty keys with art, sports, and colorful themes. There is also a variety of accessories such as clips key chains, and lanyards.
Cole Hardware never ceases to amaze me! The team is beyond useful and appears to genuinely enjoy their jobs.
I will surely be back! Cole Hardware is among my favorite places.
It feels great to support a local enterprise. It seems even better when that company is fun!
Cole Hardware is quite a bit more than a"hardware" shop. I have fun checking out their knickknacks, making wonderful presents and searching in the garden department. The kitchen area includes appliances, utensils, and fun dinnerware. I was impressed.
This place is a neighborhood gem which has saved me many times with strange miscellaneous items and staff that is helpful. I've thought what I am searching for is random, but called ahead. Not only did they possess the items, they helped listing out prices and the options. With the turnover of company on Polk St I hope they stay around for quite a while!
They have everything ! Everybody is very kind, friendly and appears to be knowledgeable about the"regulars." I have been here several times old living in the neighborhood, over the past couple of years - but will make it a point to come back here if I want household goods going forward. His father and my husband picked a bar up here to fix our drapes. We've picked up cleaning materials in the past. I walked the aisles and observed that they offer everything to shower curtains, to water bottles.
All around neighborhood hardware store. Staff, plenty of stock, and popcorn. Name another hardware store that sells popcorn... Been here several times since moving to the area and have always had a good experience. Returned a product I picked up another thing and purchased and needed a smooth trade. Keep doing your thing Cole Hardware
When I lived at the Cow Hollow/Russian Hill cusp, this space was a Walgreen's Drug store. The layout still kind of feels like I must be looking for cough medicine rather a screw driver set that is new. Yet, any self-respecting neighborhood should have a hardware store, along with the Cole's appears to serve the clientele that is present . I found what I was searching for, though I'd use it. Store staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Shopping is creating hardware stores irrelevant but I hope that the exceptional ones like Coles will remain necessary and applicable. This location is in one of my favorite neighborhoods first off. So many stores, restaurants and cafes. Coles is enjoyable browse and to walk through and be entertained for hours. Ok not that long but still much entertainment to be had there.
I had been on the hunt for sleeves that are surprisingly difficult to discover. You can't locate them in CVS or Walgreens. Obviously I left with $20 worth of items I didn't know I wanted or even knew existed but my life is much improved for it and better. Staff all looked enthusiastic and pleasant about working there. And why would not they be? Coles is amazing and they get paid to be there and hopefully get an employee discount. Dream job!
The store has a fantastic assortment of any hardware items or cleaning supplies I need. Service that I received was lacking. When I asked few questions the older guy behind the cash register was condescending and unhelpful. He clearly seemed annoyed. It made my experience very unpleasant.
Turned into a fan. That is robbery although I admire capitalism.
Capitalizing on the Burning Man market, they sold rebar (used, rusty) at $9.99 per pub.
Bit pricier appearing than good although Brownies selection as well. Complete value what they must offer, although there are some folks and some not.
I'm sad to report this.
After a favorite hardware shop... staff purging has taken this shop out of 5 stars to 1 star. q'uell drag!
Like most hardware stores Cole's on Polk maximizes screen space. (people under 6 ft cannot reach ~ 40 percent of their merchandise.) Fine if staff is available to acquire it to you. All of the knowledgeable and helpful staff seem to have been fired.
Have held back this review for the previous 4 visits... it would seem this downgrade is permanent. Because we couldn't get shelf assistance most recent trip there were a mere five customers in the shop and 2 of us had to depart with no items on our list.
I used to enjoy shopping here. This is the second time I rented a rug doctor. I returned clean per their instructions that were given to me before I are on the machine and walked out itself. The instructions - wash the water tank out and then clean the lint filter.
All over a deposit that is stupid. They've lost a customer for life. Well done.
I asked why and they said that I hadn't returned clean. I repeated that it was clean and they said , I must have continued to cycle the vacuum to empty all the water that was clean . I said a) no one explained and b) that would have soaked my carpeting that's a no-no if you want your rug to live a happy, wholesome life, so I would enjoy my deposit back. They repeated that I was not getting my deposit and that they would have to empty the water. I offered to conduct it there and they said, then what would they do about the water? Uh, gee, that I would not run it . You'd think a hardware shop might have on a rug or wood flooring rather than to empty water, such as oh, on the cement. They went on to state no one else had ever complained. Oh, well, I need to be wrong because no one else spoke up...
The staff told me to take this up with Rug Doctor. Yes - customer support at its best.
I said there was because there did not seem to be any way to get out it, water, and they said yes, that is true - . Oh, and due to that I would not receive my deposit back.
The staff here is always top of the line. They are friendly, but not too friendly where you feel like you're overwhelmed. The staff will talk to you to and it is one of those areas you can walk in and make you feel like you're a friend. They place themselves and always look out for your very best interest - working while making sure what you purchase will be the thing that is right, to find the best bang for your dollar. And a gal named AnaDalia and I talked with Rick; both were a great deal of fun and top notch. It is like showing up for a families hardware store and everybody is having a good time! Seems like a great place to work and most probably because of the wonderful folks working there.
Local stores such as the folks who work there are the reason I try to come here before going any where else and also these.
I stopped in this week throughout their"Happy Hour", which included complimentary wine, chocolate, cupcakes, and 50 percent off any item under $30. Beings that there was a excellent deal I found it necessary to grab a swell jar!
Thank you for all the help!
